  • Fab stay would stay again! Quick responses when booking, everything explained well. Great location and lovely apartment

  • We had a great time at this Airbnb in Edinburgh. The location is fantastic and the apartment itself was very clean and very stylish. The check in/out procedure was a little convoluted-it involved having to walk across Edinburgh to the offices to pick up and drop off the key so was a bit of a pain. Other than that, we had a fantastic time in a lovely apartment

  • Great get away

  • The flat and location was superb, it was very easy to find everything around, and easy to get to the flat. I would highly recommend considering this property for a lovely stay in Edinburgh.

  • Really nice place to stay, no complaints so would highly recommend! Great location and lots of added extras to the room to make it feel more homely!

    Rosie2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • We couldn’t find the incheck point at first, but that was probably just us being bad at navigating! The apartment was super clean and felt like home immediately! Communication with Altido was also super fast and easy, so I’d definitely recommend booking with them!

Oak panelled walls, wooden window shutters, and warm parquet floors surround you. Choose from hundreds of books and read in a secret bed box behind floor-to-ceiling shelves. Family portraits and heirlooms happily coexist with works of modern art.
Romantic and stylish apartment, It's the perfect base from which to explore Edinburgh from. I've already had some great people come and stay, so I welcome you to my home. Edinburgh castle is a short walk away from the apartment, and the National Gallery, St Giles Cathedral, National Museum of Scotland are all close by. My apartment is on the fourth floor of an 18th Century tenement with views on to the historic Royal Mile. With all mod cons and a unique location, this is the perfect apartment to have as a base while you explore Edinburgh. The apartment retains the unique character of the Old Town with oak panelled walls and parquet flooring, mixed with family portraits, antiques and works of art, but also all the modern comforts of a home. It is on the fourth floor and is reached by a spiral staircase (76 steps in all!) For our American cousins that's a walkup :-) There is no elevator. The apartment is South facing and full of light by day. The hall has a cupboard to hang clothes/store shoes etc. There is also an ironing board/iron and a hair dryer kept here as well. The bathroom has a bath and a shower, there is always hot water and plenty of towels for you to have. Then through the main door off the hall, is the open plan living space. Five full height original Georgian sash windows face you as you walk into the space. Floor to ceiling book cases and a large period fireplace with French empire over-mantle mirror. There is free wifi throughout the apartment, also a big collection of fiction/history/cookery/poetry/art/design books to while away the time with and I have a music/radio player with an eclectic choice of C.Ds. Plus cards and board games. A large kitchen space with character and all the modern cons - toaster, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, oven, kettle, induction hob etc. However I don't own a microwave. There is a washing machine and there is washing liquid capsules for it under the sink, just put one of these inside the washing machine drum and close the door and turn to what ever setting you want. I do not have a dryer (it's not that typical here in Scotland/Europe) what I do have is a clothes horses which you can hang your clothes on. Their kept folded up in the hall cupboard. I hate staying in apartments on holiday where there aren't even any basics to cook with like salt and olive oil, so the kitchen is stocked with all the usual larder fare to help yourself to if you're cooking in. Plus coffee and all sorts of teas. I also have an honesty bar if you want to finish off with a drink or two after a long day of walking around town. By the windows is the generous dining space with oak dinning table and six chairs. The bed is a unique 'bedbox chamber' made from architectural salvaged fitted Scottish 18th/19th century carved oak. A floor to ceiling hidden panelled door lets you into this cosy space with reading lights on the headboard and it is fitted out with a British king size mattress - width 150cm and length 200cm, white cotton sheets, pillows and duvet. Mary Queen of Scots would feel quite at home sleeping in it! The living room area of the apartment is tucked at the West side of the room and has two good size sofas, reading lamps and is perfect to socialize in and also have quiet time with a good book. I hope to hear from you. I'm more than happy to answer any questions or give advice about Edinburgh/restaurants/bars etc All the best Calim
Edinburgh is beautiful and historic. This apartment is in the oldest part of the city, close to the castle. Museums, restaurants, and good coffee shops are really close by, as are the train station and airport links.
  • Amazing place, unbeatable location and Calim is a very caring and friendly person, I really highly recommend the place.

  • !! very nice !!

    Ryan2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Staying here was a dream! I had everything I needed and Calim was super friendly and helpful. The highlight of my stay had to be those windows and the glooorious morning light - especially when the light shone through the chandelier and the room was filled with baby rainbows! I felt so comfortable here and would stay again in a heartbeat.

    Emily2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful few days stay at Calim's place; it truly felt like a home from home. Centrally located, comfortable, beautifully decorated with small touches and kindnesses that really lifted this above your average rental. His recommendations for places to visit, eat and drink, or just take in the atmosphere helped make sure that my first trip to Edinburgh definitely won't be my last.

A bright and spacious 1 bedroom loft flat in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. My flat has been recently renovated to the highest modern standards, ensuring that you will have an enjoyable and comfortable stay. Not only is it a great location but the flat is on a quiet street so you can have a peaceful stay. It will make great base for couples and solo-travellers visiting Edinburgh.
The open plan living, kitchen and dining area is light and airy. There is a sofa bed, a large TV, and fast WiFi for you to use. I have just completed renovating the kitchen. It contains all new appliances, as well as everything you will need to self cater. The bedroom features a very comfortable king size bed, and plenty of storage space for all your belongings. My cleaners place fresh, hotel-quality linen and towels on your bed prior to arrival.
My flat is located right in the centre of Edinburgh's New Town. There are so many bustling bars nearby, as well as some great dining options. You couldn't find a more convenient location for exploring the many attractions this city has to offer.
  • Doug's flat is a fantastic base for a trip to Edinburgh. It is fantastically well located - a short walk from the train station, in the heart of New Town. You could eat and drink fantastically without ever leaving Thistle Street! It's also within easy walking distance of several attractions - the castle, museums, Dean village etc., and a pleasant (if longer) walk to Holyrood and Arthur's seat. The flat is very stylishly decorated and is a calming and comfortable place to return to. The bathroom is small but has a good shower, and we had no issues with hot water. The flat is very cosy - we actually had to turn the heating down (a surprise for Edinburgh in early March!). There was quite a lot of noise from the street. This is to be expected given the (excellent) central location, but worth bearing in mind for light sleepers - though it didn't bother us at all.

    Sophie2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, cosy and great location. Would recommend to anyone. We really enjoyed our stay here

    Sarah2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • I recommend this location

    Déborah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I lived 4 months in this apartment so I imagine that the expectations are not the same. However the apartment is immaculate, the agency has always been responsive to any questions or requests. The location is just exceptional, you are in the Hypercentre. Three little downsides: - the stairs which are slightly long to climb (largely bearable for a young person) - the apartment is too poorly insulated, unfortunately I have the impression that this is a recurring problem on Scottish apartments. (We hear absolutely everything that happens in the street and the apartments below when there are people). There too bearable for my part. - last thing, the convertible sofa which is of stone as well as the bed which is very uncomfortable. Again we were there for 4 months so the small details are obviously easier to notice. I would put a score of 9/10 Thanks again for everything, I hope to have the chance to come back!

Our modern loft is above our family home but fully self contained. You have your own front door, mini kitchen/tea station, master bedroom with new memory foam mattress double bed, TV, 200MB WIFI, seating area. Bathroom with shower cubicle. Further bedroom with two single beds and for a fifth guest there is an IKEA chair bed which can be set up in the master bedroom. Excellent and tranquil location. My place would suit families, friends, couples and business guests. On street parking available.
Modern and freshly decorated loft apartment, above our detached bungalow home but fully self contained. You have your own front door, located at the side of our house, which leads to stairs to two bedrooms (sleeping up to five). Please note there is no cooker or kitchen sink but you do have your own fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery etc. We also provide milk, water, tea and coffee. You can eat breakfast etc at the dining area in the master bedroom. Leave your dishes on the kitchen trolley and I will clean and replace them daily. Please note that the ceilings slope at the side so mind your head. Newly fitted bathroom with separate shower cubicle. Views to the Pentland Hills.
Corstorphine is a peaceful and tranquil, highly sought after, suburb of Edinburgh. Approximately 3.5 miles west of the the city centre. The main road to the centre and airport, is at the back of our house. Buses run every five minutes, taking you to the centre in 20 minutes, or, in the opposite direction, to the airport in 10 minutes (on the airlink 100 express bus). On street parking is also available should you have a car. Corstorphine has an abundance of supermarkets, shops, restaurants, take a aways, cafes and bars. You can enjoy a stroll along St Johns Road and take in the local scene! Edinburgh zoo is set on Corstorphine Hill and is a great day out. Murrayfield Stadium is a 30 minute walk (2 miles) or an easy 5 minute bus journey from St Johns Road. Lots of rugby fans choose Corstorphine for its close proximity and easy access to the stadium. For eats we recommend Mimis bakehouse, just across the road from our place, for a scrumptious breakfast/brunch, afternoon tea. Abida restaurant (also just across the road from our place), for a delicious Indian/Thai meal, and its a BYO (bring your own bottle). For a more traditional meal the Toby Carvery is a great choice. Proper Sunday roast every day of the week at a very good price. Five to ten minute walk from our door. If you prefer to eat at home then we have a large 24 hour Tesco to stock up on everything you may need. Also five minute walk from our door. There are also plenty take away places for you to order a home delivery. These are just a few of the amenities Corstorphine has to offer.
  • Very quaint and quiet neighborhood. Close walking distance from fast food, restaurants, and stores. easy to locate from the airport. the check-in process was smooth.

It's in the very centre of Edinburgh, 5 minutes from Princess Street, the Castle and all that is Edinburgh. Its 10 minutes by public transport to Leith and the Shore and a days trip to the beaches or hills that surround (URL HIDDEN) base yourself here for a week is a luxury, so much to do and see. For everything else its on your doorstep or at least down eight flights of (URL HIDDEN) eight, 147 stone spiral steps with a wooden handrail to the top, steep at first but once you get going it gets easier. The epicentre of the Fringe, cosy, bright, romantic apartment at the top of the Royal Mile, a stones throw from Edinburgh Castle. Spectacular views of the fireworks, tornado jet flyovers, the big wheel and high above the bustle. All in the heart of the action beside all the top venues. Great bed, full kitchen, incredible view.
Tastefully decorated romantic apartment in the very epicentre of Edinburgh with wonderful views and a cozy environment. You'll have a special time in Edinburgh when staying here. There are a number of steps up to the door but it's well worth the views and it's better to go up and get views than go further away from the action. Guests have the very heart and most iconic part of Edinburgh literally on their door step. The apartment comes with a dishwasher and there is a fantastic cooker and 4 gas hobs. If you stay during the festival or at New Year you will be treated to one of the most spectacular views of fireworks in the world and tornado jet flyovers close enough so you can nearly wave at the pilots. I interact as much or as little with each guest as suits their preferences.
This is the best place to stay as a couple or single person looking for a quiet and relaxing trip in the very heart of Edinburgh right next to the Castle on the Royal Mile.

  • A truly beautiful apartment in the centre of town. It was also really comfortable as well as stylish and had wonderful, thoughtful touches. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

  • The Air bnb photos really don’t do the Wee Nook justice: It’s beautiful, comfortable and perfectly placed to access everything you need to in Edinburgh - and really not that wee! We had a really enjoyable stay and would strongly recommend. Just be aware; on street parking outside is very expensive.

    Jo2019-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • The wee nook is absolutely beautiful, spacious, stylish and situated in a great location. Can’t rate the place and the owners hospitality and attention to detail highly enough.

  • We enjoyed staying at Carly's place, which was very clean, well-equipped and centrally located to see everything we wanted in Edinburgh. We thought it even nicer than the photos. Carly's communication was speedy and clear, and both check-in and check-in couldn't have been easier, which contributed to a relaxing stay. We appreciated the thorough instruction binder, with local tips, and how close the local groceries were (Tesco Express 1/2 a block). We loved the small welcome package too! We'd highly recommend this apartment.

  • Would absolutely recommend this lovely place in Edinburgh. Surrounded by a gorgeous garden, the apartment is a great size for two people with a sitting area and a small but functional kitchen. The apartment is in a nice neighborhood and a short walk to the city centre. The hosts met us in person to welcome us to Edinburgh and gave some helpful recommendations for the area. Overall had a fantastic stay and would love to return!

    Clara2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • The studio apartment is in a great location for experiencing the city from the interesting Bruntsfield area; close enough to easily walk into town, but set in a beautiful and tranquil garden with everything you need to relax after a day exploring. The space itself is characterful and very clean, with a lovely bathroom and great views over the garden, and from the terrace you can unwind to birdsong and running water! Morag and Alistair were excellent hosts who always responded very promptly, and had lots of tips for enjoying our stay. Parking was also very easy and accessible. Highly recommended.

    Eva2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • The description for the cottage defines it exactly: beautiful; inside and outside. Not only it includes anything you may need during your stay, but also its cozyness really makes you want to stay in during your vacation. As for what the outside refers, you will find yourself surrounded by a beautiful garden that will brighten up your day even in the gloomiest ones. All hosts are very friendly and helpful, they made sure to receive me upon schedule and were always pleasant to talk to. The apartment has a guide for tourists with some excellent recommendations in case you don’t really know your way around. Well connected to the city centre, even though my personal choice was always to walk given all the beautiful parks and sights you are surrounded by. The area is gorgeous and with no noise at all during night. In conclusion, if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Edinburgh you should definitely go for this place. It will make you feel at home away from home. 10/10

  • This was a perfect place to stay for our final stop in Edinburgh. It was located in a lovely part of the city, easy to find, convenient to shops and food and sites of interest. Morag's place is cozy and comfortable, and we'll definitely check its availability on our next visit to Edinburgh. We've also had friends ask about the details for their visits.

  • Lovely studio flat that’s not too far from the busy city centre. Perfect for a short break as it had everything we needed!

    Ka-Wing2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely small place to stay at at a very convenient location in a quiet and picturesque area. The bed was super comfy, nice finishing touches in the room (cushions, blanket, hot water bottles, sweets and cookies), cosy romantic atmosphere, nice skylight windows. Microwave/kettle/crockery/cutlery provided, some small snacks too. The only warning about the place is that the bathroom is tiny, extra tall / large people might have difficulty crouching/squeezing through the doors. Otherwise no complaints!

    Arune2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little flat in one of the most picturesque parts of Edinburgh. It's small, but for a short weekend break it's perfect (I might miss having a full size kitchen if I was staying here for more than a few days though). Emma's communication was great during our stay and responded to any questions we had really quickly. Thanks Emma!

    Jacob2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • A charming little accommodation located in a magical and romantic setting!

    Jade2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay - beautiful location in a quiet neighbourhood by the river. The flat had everything we needed for a long weekend, and was ideally placed for exploring the city.

    Sam2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Emma‘s place is super cute and Dean Village which is a perfect retreat after a day out and about in Edinburgh. If you open the windows you can hear the Water of Leith below and you would have no idea that you are right in the middle of the city. I was a bit worried it might be a bit cold, but the radiator kept the apartment toasty warm. It is a cosy space, if you are on the tall side it might not be the best fit. But for me cosy was the appeal, so it was a good fit for me. Great little place!

  • We loved absolutely everything about this place and we hope to return next year. 5 stars all around. There was a mini issue with the sink which didn't get fixed in a month but regardless I only have positive feedback about this apartment! Style, spaciousness and comfort are hard to capture in the pictures, so they actual place really exceeded the expectations.

  • Ian’s loft is a really amazing space and our family of three was very comfortable there. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and cozy, the space of the loft is beautiful, and the neighborhood was a great surprise! A few breakfast places right around the corner and some interesting pubs for a drink after a long day of sightseeing. Annette met us and was very helpful in getting us settled in. There are several bus lines that are within a short walk of the loft that take you to different parts of the city in 15-20 minutes - very easy! Will stay there again next time we are in Edinburgh. Highly recommend!

  • We loved our stay at Natalia’s place. A historical home with modern amenities in a perfect location. Walking distance to everything Edinburgh has to offer, with delicious coffee shops and restaurants right around the corner. Our kids loved playing with all the toys that belong to Natalia’s children. Hopefully they don’t mind the alterations to all their LEGO creations! 🤣

  • Stayed in Natalia’s place over Fringe weekend and was grand. The place was beautiful and bedS clean and comfortable. Easy self check in and out. It took about 15 minutes to walk to the festival so was in a great location too.

  • We spent 3 nights at the Jasper Loft and we had a blast even with the arrival of the Ciara storm :) Check in and check out were very smooth, the home is extremely well located, easy access with Airlink bus from the Airport, walking distance to everything, very well equipped, design and so comfy. We felt at home right away! Teresa & Ken are very welcoming and are thinking at every details… they left us some food for breakfast and even some Scottish treats. They even made ice cubes… and for us that means a lot :-) ! So if you are watching some Airbnb listings for Edinburgh, stop it, check the availabilities and if you are lucky enough that your dates are free… book the Jasper loft right away! • Very nice and clean apartment in the center of Edinburgh. Really worth it. Communication with the owner went well and smoothly. Very nice that there were food and drinks for breakfast. All facilities were good and present.

    Johan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ken and Theresa's place is ideal for a number of reasons. It's located a stone's throw from the Royal Mile, which you'll want after a long day. The space itself is a design spectacle; beautiful furniture and spaces, as well as thoughtful touches. And Ken and Theresa are both extremely welcoming; they left us a number of treats for breakfast, and took the time to walk us through the space. Cannot endorse this space enough!

    John2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • A great, spacious, modern apartment with lots of character. Very convenient for all Edinburgh attractions as well as easy to come and go. Access to a secure parking space was very useful, although it is a bit of a squeeze with a bigger car. Ken and Teresa have provided some excellent touches to the apartment to make it cosy including snacks, bread, milk and fruit. We would definitely come back.

    Julia2019-12-29T00:00:00Z

Buses to the city are frequent. The apartment has an abundance of bars and restaurants near by but is super private and quiet. The facilities are fantastic, stocked with everything you should need for a perfect stay.

  • An excellent pied-à-terre in Edinburgh - our best so far. Lissa’s is so comfortable, stylish and a real home from home. We had a good night’s sleep and it was so quiet and peaceful. We always managed to park the car on the street outside and it was free. Without a doubt we will stay there again and I can’t recommend it enough.

    Anne2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Cheerful, Lovely Flat Both the flat and Lissa are cheerful. The flat’s large windows let in a lot of light to the well appointed space. The windows overlooking a church yard provide a park-like view. Lissa is a joy, warm and friendly. She met us at the flat when we arrived, showed us around and explained how everything worked. She gave us a hamper full of goodies and put fresh flowers on the table. She even took us to the train station the day we left. The flat is spacious and comfortable. We stayed two weeks, but, could have stayed for months. Everything we needed was provided and we easily prepared breakfast and evening meals when we wanted to stay in. The bathrooms are large and the bed is comfortable. The flat is quiet even when the windows are open. The location was perfect for us. We like to walk and enjoyed the Links park nearby. We also walked to the Britannia, palace, castle and national museum. There are plenty of buses serving the neighborhood and when tired after a day of sightseeing we jumped on one and were home in a few minutes. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs in the neighborhood within a 2-10 minute walk. We found many good ones. Our favorites: Kings Wark, Hideout Cafe and Ship on the Shore. We highly recommend Lissa and her flat. We will definitely try to stay here again next time we are in Edinburgh.

  • Fabulous spacious apartment in an excellent location. It’s an easy walk to the city center and having the funky cafes and restaurants on the doorstep is ideal. Lissa is an incredible host with fab hints and tips of where to go. We were very comfortable in the apartment and happily cooked breakfast in the morning and had two lovely nights in too. We both slept well and really enjoyed our 4 night stay. Edinburgh rocks!

  • This is a great place to stay. Its away from the turmoil especially during the August festival. We would go to a different neighborhood pub every night for a drink before cooking dinner and just had a spectacular time. Its easy to get downtown by bus but we liked walking and found multiple routes for doing so. Lissa is super generous with things you need and very responsive. We loved the view out the HUGE windows ...its of a graveyard so you know we are quirky, but its green and you cannot help but think of a Scottish writer conjuring some intriguing yarn while observing it.

  • Fantastic, stylish apartment. Perfect location on the edge of the city centre. Thoroughly recommend! The communication and information provided by Lissa prior to our stay was hugely helpful.

  • Amazing, bright and spacious. Lovely relaxing place to be whilst so handy for buses and local amenities. Lissa was very welcoming and accommodating - can’t fault her. Would definitely stay again, thanks!

A great open spaced loft apartment with a private terrace, close to shopping and fabulous local restaurants. The flat has one bedroom as well as a sofa bed in a quiet corner of the living area.
I have a lovely large open plan loft apartment situated in the fashionable Waterfront area of Leith in Edinburgh. Bright spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen area with a beautiful private terrace for enjoying the warm summer evenings The apartment has large bedroom with a very comfortable double bed and a sofa bed in sitting room. My cleaners place fresh, hotel-quality linen and towels on your bed prior to arrival. We have 2 bathrooms, one is en suite. There is also a double sofabed for additional guests. The apartment has all mod cons; wifi access, television, and an iPod dock for your iPhone or iPod. there is a fully functioning kitchen with a microwave, coffee machine, toaster fridge and all necessary dishes and utensils. Artwork by New York artist Rory Donaldson adorns the walls adding to the charm of this apartment. In the local area you will find everything you need for a great stay. There are shops, cafes, and bars all within walking distance. We are close to the Royal Yacht Bitannia and many of Edinburgh's finest restaurants, such as Martin Wisharts ,Kitchin , Fishers, Teuchters and many more. The apartment is just a short bus ride from the city centre...this apartment really has the best of both worlds!
My flat is located a short walk from The Shore in Leith, where you can find bustling bars and restaurants. Leith is a unique community in Edinburgh, with great pride in its history. The centre of Edinburgh is just a short bus ride or drive away.
  • This is a beautiful apartment with exceptional space and tastefully decorated. It was spotlessly clean. The host accommodated me with an earlier check in which I greatly appreciated

  • Great sized apartment.

  • It’s simplicity just works. This is a rare find and a cracker of a place. Beautiful, spacious, got everything you can think of and more. You need to stay here to understand that I simply cannot find enough adjectives to describe the place. It’s got the touch of a boutique hotel and then it’s so so homely. This property welcomes you, the style calls you to explore the space; the balcony invites you to spend time in the breeze of Scotland and enjoy some quite time. While most people plan their holiday and then find a place; I’ll highly recommend you find available dates for this property then plan your visit around those dates as you will be delighted you did. All round 5 stars from me.

  • Agata's flat is perfect and just what we needed! You couldn't have asked for anything more. Agata let us check in a few hours early and showed us round the apartment which is very well kept/decorated and came with many types of tea 😊 Upon booking we had been given copious amounts of information about the local area which meant we were able to plan our trip easier. Thanks again Agata!

  • The perfect base for a stay in Edinburgh! Agata’s home is a beautiful space and exactly as gorgeous as the photos in the listing (quite a rare thing on Airbnb)! As a host Agata is warm, friendly and super quick to respond to any queries you might have before or during your stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Edinburgh and I would definitely book again if/when I find myself back in the area!

  • We were late coming off a 23 hour trip on the plane and Agata couldn't have been more helpful. She waited for us and welcomed us with a nice cup of tea as we were drenched from the rain and jet lagged! The apartment is so incredibly clean and very warm. I was surprised at how quiet it was despite being in a really busy/great location. We really enjoyed our stay and will come back if we are back in Scotland in the future.

  • Wonderful comfortable and clean place with everything you need for a short or longer stay. Loved the welcome basket full of local goodies! My boyfriend and I stayed at Kenny’s place for 2.5 months while I took short term classes at U of Edinburgh and the location was perfect. Drummond street is a little gem, putting you in the neighborhood of famous writers, Festival Theatre, Surgeons Hall, and an easy walk to world famous High St, the National Museum of Scotland, and so much more. Multiple grocery stores within easy walking distance (including a Lidl) as well as many tasty places to eat and get coffee or tea. Back to the apartment: The couches, bed and bedding were very comfortable and there is actually a lot of natural light thanks to the skylights, which was great during the darker colder months. Kitchen had nearly all of what we needed for cooking and the dining table doubled nicely as a work space. WiFi was fast (which is important for us as we both work for ourselves) with no issues at all. Lots of fun books and games available and the fake fireplace was a wonderfully cozy addition! Kenny was a very responsive host. The washing machine door got stuck early in our stay and Kenny had a maintenance guy over at the apartment ASAP to fix it (never had an issue again). Just a note that there is an elevator in the building, but there are a few stairs down to it from the lobby and it only goes up to the floor below the apartment, so at least 2.5 flights more to climb after getting off the lift. I have a leg injury, so this was a bit rough. The elevator was also “held” on other floors enough times that we stopped using it, so anyone with mobility issues will want to take all that into consideration. Besides that (which is out of the host’s control), a great stay and hope to come back again some day! Thanks Kenny!

  • The flat is an ideal spot to explore Edinburgh from and Kenny was a perfect host, we particularly appreciated the welcoming supplies Kenny had provided before we'd had a chance to go out shopping. Right in the heart of the Old Town, the flat is minutes from the Royal Mile and plenty of supermarkets nearby for any amenities you may need. Whilst the flat itself is comfortable and a warm home to return to each day. Thanks so much Kenny - I'd 100% come back to stay at yours again!

  • A great place to stay to make the most of Edinburgh. We were only there for 2 nights so it was important that we had everything as close as possible. A really nice flat with modern touches that made our stay very pleasant.

The newly renovated, architect designed loft is entered on the 2nd floor of a small residential building. It has its own locked door accessed via a winding oak stairway leading from the entrance hall. Light floods the space from large velux windows with views to the Castle and the hills. Open plan with sofa bed, dining area, sink, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and everything you need to rustle up simple meals. Cosy bedroom and bathroom with sliding door, walk-in shower, sink and toilet.
We are ideally placed within easy reach of Edinburgh's attractions and opposite the internationally renowned Royal Botanical Garden. The loft fits the definition of a penthouse: 'a living space at the top of a building with skyline views'. Sunny and south facing, it is filled with light. The atmosphere is tranquil and there is plenty of headspace for the tallest of guests. It is a perfect oasis to retreat to after the bustle of the city and the loudest noise you are likely to hear is the sound of a neighbour's lawn mower. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail. The kitchenette has basic equipment to rustle up a meal or fix breakfast - sink, fridge, microwave oven, utensils and crockery. We take sustainability seriously and provide eco--friendly products. We ask guests to take any plastic bottles they bring containing shampoo, shower gel etc. away when they leave.
Inverleith is our leafy neighbourhood, an offshoot of the historic hamlets of Canonmillls and Stockbridge which retain their 'villagey' feel. It's like being in the countryside, yet only ten minutes from the heart of the city. Stockbridge was recently voted one of the best places to stay in the UK, and you can walk there through the botanical gardens and along the river where wildlife abounds. Inverlieth and Stockbridge both have great coffee bars and restaurants and the Botanics has three eateries, including one inspired by nature that has beautiful views. The river walkway nearby links the charming 'villages' of Canonmills and Stockbridge, the Dean Village, Gallery of Modern Art and the Port of Leith. Past visitors to the area include Frederic Chopin and Robert Louis Stevenson. Edinburgh is fascinating at all times of the year and sassy folk are increasingly visiting in winter. Find out about Winter concerts and theatre performances in the What's On Edinburgh website.
  • This was a lovely "home away from home" airbnb in Edinburgh, in a cozy suburban like location. *Very clean place - no smells, no dust * Peaceful location, both inside and outside * We walked home late at night several times and experienced the area and the walk from the cite centre as very safe *Lots of light thanks to the roof windows (with black out curtains, for the light sensitive!) * You can see the Castle and parts of Arthur's Seat from the living room windows! *Warm floors, meaning that (1) not a lot of heating is required to keep the place cozy and (2) one was not cold walking around barefoot * Clean, fresh bathroom - the sink has fast running hot water and the shower didn't put up a fight, either! :) *Lovely, light interior with lots of little extras! The host left us some milk for our tea, biscuits, butter, etc. There was also shampoo, conditioner and a hair fan available. This was appreciated due to us travelling only with carry on luggage. * The host has an amazing little "Edinburgh guide" available - don't forget to check it out! In the airbnb there are also plenty of fliers and booklets with destination information. * The host herself was wonderful. Environmentally friendly, easy to contact and with clear instructions. If we would ever to come back to Edinburgh, I would stay at this location again.

  • A lovely 2 room apartment at the top of the building with big skylights, comfortable beds, and a lovely host. My daughter and I were very comfortable there. The neighborhood is easily accessible by frequent public bus, and Sheila gave us a great recommendation for a local restaurant. Highly recommended.

  • This loft is just perfect for a stay in Edinburgh. The amenities, bed, and space is just like the listing and even better. The host is very friendly and offers as little or as much information as you would like. The location of the loft is perfect, only 20 minutes walking to the city centre and is conveniently just a few minutes walk to two bus stops. Definitely recommended for your stay in Edinburgh!!

  • If I could give this more stars I would! Sheila is an amazing host. Her loft is beautiful with views and natural light. The bed is so comfy and it comes with everything we needed. We wished we stayed longer. It is a wonderful 20-30 min walk from the central town area, but it was great! Close to local restaurants, shops and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Sheila gave us wonderful tips and was very helpful and was there for us as much and as little as we wanted. I would 100% book again the next time I am there!

    Corelle2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Sheila welcomed us and went out of her way to make us feel at home. The loft is decorated with very good taste and provides the facilities for guest to prepare their own breakfast if they wish too. We were welcomed with delicious Scottish shortbread and could help ourselves to tea and coffee. Would recommend this place to anyone who plans visiting Edimburgh

  • Mary is a very welcoming hostess. The place is very well located in front of a 10 meter bus stop that reaches the center of Edinburgh in just 25 minutes by bus. A supermarket is located right in front of his house. The rent is located al etage and mary lives on the ground floor everything is independant. The apartment is cozy, clean and well equipped.

The room is situated in the attic and is accessed via a ladder, it is overlooking a garden so quiet. My place is close to the Haymarket station and the city centre can be reached in only 15 minutes by bus. In a few minutes you can walk along the beautiful Union Canal. There is a single bed so my place is suitable for solo adventurers and business travellers but could also accommodate couples as there is a double mattress plus extra linen available if needed. Check-in from 6.30.
The room is situated upstairs and is accessed via a ladder, it's quiet and spacious, overlooking a garden. There is a single bed with bedding and towels and a double mattress available if needed, there is a big desk and shelves. There is extra space downstairs with a wardrobe, table and chairs.
Short walk from the Union Canal and the park. Great local transport across the road, close to the city centre.
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Camylas place. The room is huge, cozy and beautiful, the ladder wasn't a problam at all, there is lots of storage space and Camyla is a nice, welcoming person who does everything for you to feel home. Thank you so much!

    Kathrin2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Camyla was a lovely host. Good advice and very cooperative if I had any problems. Must be comfortable with ladders for this room with great space.

    Christopher2019-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Camyla's place for a week. I was in Edinburgh for my job interviews and her attic room was perfect for quiet work and study. It is very clean, spacious and there is a window just above the work desk so it doesn't feel stuffy at all. The location is great too, very close to a bus stop and supermarkets. Last but not least, Camyla was very welcoming and she made me feel right at home. Overall, a very comfortable stay. Thank you Camyla!!

  • I stayed at Camylas' appartment for 2 months and really enjoyed living in her room in the attic. I quickly got used to climbing the ladder and there is a room downstairs where I could leave my big suitcase and a closet for my clothes. The room looks exactly like shown in the pictures. It's cozy, spacious and bright due to two windows. The kitchen and the bathroom were nice and had everything I needed. The bus station is really close (1min walk) and there are several bus lines (also the Skylink) so going to the city centre is quick and very convenient. Camyla is very nice, whenever I needed help or tips she responded quickly per AirBnB or gave me helpful information when we talked. The only thing I wasn't completely satisfied with was the wifi signal which was too weak in most areas of the room (it just worked on my Laptop but not on my phone) and the heating didn't work during the day but mostly just in the mornings and in the evenings. In general I can totally recommend staying at Camylas' appartment - if just for a few days or for several weeks or even months!

    Marie2019-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • The room in Camyla's apartment is excellent. As it is in the attic, privacy is even greater. The apartment is very clean, kitchen is great, and the location is very good because, although it is not so close to the center on foot, it has a bus stop practically on the doorstep. In addition, Camyla always responded to the messages very quickly and was available to help!

  • Camyla is a great and welcoming host! I really enjoyed staying at her place. The room is spacious, comfortable and very quiet. Highly recommend.

    Svenja2018-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Camyla is nice/friendly although due to our schedule, I didn't have much chance to interact with her. Her place is very good for solo traveler, it's spacious/ bright/quiet, the wi-fi signal there is weak and causes interruptions.

    Pete2018-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at this apartment. The host, Camyla, is super friendly and accommodating. She gave me tips, and useful advice whenever I asked. The room itself was perfect for my tastes! It's a quaint space with lots of sunlight, a cozy bed, and a little desk. And it's especially quiet up there too. Most importantly, the bus stop is right at the corner and takes you to the center of Edinburgh within 10 minutes. Very convenient when I wanted to see a Fringe show or meet up with friends. I couldn't recommend this place more!
