We really enjoyed staying at Joana and Jonathon's lovely home. The initial communication was excellent with Joana providing clear instructions on how to get there, along with other useful information for our stay. The house suited us perfectly with 3 small children and was well equipped with everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Joana has been a fantastic host and her house was clean, comfortable and well located. We completely recommend staying at Joana's house if you are looking for a well located, comfortable home to stay in this beautiful part of the country.

The Apple Press is a lovely location to stay at for your visit to Somerset. Although a little difficult to find once there the welcome and amenities are superb and a great place for exploring Somerset and the surrounding areas from.

Fantastic stay! The apple press was lovely. A great space for just hanging around chatting, eating and drinking! Taunton was a few minutes away and all the convenience a town comes with but you really felt you were in the middle of nowhere. Loved it!

We very much enjoyed our time at the Apple Press. It's a lovely place. Sarah was welcoming and then left us to it, despite the proximity of their house, which is ideal - there if you need them but otherwise a peaceful existence. It's slightly off the beaten track but there's a pub in walk-able distance (opens at 6.00). The house is lovely and the area is a great base for Somerset. Top marks!

Wow, what an absolutely stunning home in the countryside. The place is massive, with lovely green views. Fred's mother Andrea hosted us, and made us feel very welcome straight away. They helpfully accommodated an early check in as my partner and I were attending a wedding nearby. We were back late so didn't get much of a chance to truly enjoy the beautiful home, however can say that the bed was very comfortable, the room spacious, and the ensuite just as large with a lovely walk in shower. We were very pleased we booked the room, rather than camping after the wedding, Thanks very much for hosting us. If we are ever down this way again we would love to stay again. Yaz and Joe

James and his family are really welcoming hosts - they have a beautiful home. My husband and I stayed here when going to a wedding locally. Our room was at the back of the house in a sort of 'guest wing' which was really nice. The room was spacious and clean and we had an en-suite (think it was a shared en-suite but we were the only guests so had it to ourselves). The breakfast was yummy too! They also run relaxing, sporty, healthy retreats and its a beautiful setting I am considering recommending it as a perfect location for a girly get away holiday next year.

My Wife and I recently stayed 2 nights with James. Once the booking had been completed, James was excellent with all communications. We had clear concise directions and it was easy to agree an arrival time. He was more than happy to accommodate a gluten free dietary requirement and also recommend dinner options in the local village. James greeted us and introduced us to the other family members, showing us to a fantastic room with a large, comfortable bed. The en-suite bathroom was great and looked recently fitted out. Soft fluffy towels, luxurious hair & shower products were also provided along with a welcoming cup of tea! Breakfast on both days was a great combination of healthy and tasty, included awesome smoothies! Our agenda for the 2 days we were staying was likely to vary, so we were given a key to the property and they even lent us a torch to navigate the short (but very dark) stroll to the nearby pub. All in all, I cannot recommend this location enough. Before leaving, we were shown the impressive on site facilities that allow them to hold Spin and Yoga sessions. In summary: Great location, Beautiful farmhouse, Warm and welcoming host and Amazing breakfasts

A really good sized room and en suite bathroom. Cozy feel - great on a cold night in January. Good shower although I didn't try the whirlpool bath it looked impressive. I appreciated the hairdryer in the room and the tea and coffee facilities. I was only there for one night so can't really comment on the surrounding area but it seemed a nice quiet neighbourhood, I got a lift from the station but it wasn't far. The detailed directions of how to get there were very good though. Generally a very comfortable room, just right for what I needed and Julie was great at answering any questions.

This was a lovely large room with great ensuite. Bed was really comfy and the location quiet but close to lots of amenities and good for the motorway. Tea and coffee provided in the room plus biscuits (a big hit with my 4 year old) Would definitely recommend this airbnb and stay here again en route to Cornwall.

I had the most wonderful time at Holway Cottage. The host Julie was lovely, really friendly, helpful and welcoming. The cottage is gorgeous, all of the benefits of a rustic country retreat with all of the modern perks. The location itself is brilliant if you are looking to explore Taunton and the surrounding countryside. One direction takes you straight into town and the other into the countryside so it really is the best of both. The room was incredibly comfortable, with a lovely bed and clean modern private bathroom. It was more like a 5 star hotel room than someone’s spare bedroom - silk curtains and Laura Ashley cotton sheets, a snack box plus my own private entrance meant that I didn’t feel that I was disturbing Julie at all. All in all it was a lovely trip and I would absolutely recommend a visit.

We were delighted with Julie's room which was large and of a very high standard. We particularly liked the fact that there were two arm chairs instead of having to sit on the bed. Very good communication with check in and someone was there to receive the keys. The en suite bathroom was perfect, excellent shower with plenty of hot water and a lovely sheltered courtyard where we could sit outside. We were cycling and found Holway Green easy to locate and there is a cycle route into Taunton centre is very close by. We would love to stay again and would not hesitate in recommending Julie's place.

Clayton was a great host, very accommodating and recommended lots of places around...and there is loads of options as the house is about five minute walk from a town centre. The house and the room itself feels very premium. It was a lovely stay.

This is the 2nd time I stayed there, Clayton is very friendly, knowledgeable of the area. I would highly recommend staying there is you are visiting Taunton.

Clayton was a great host, very accommodating, communication throughout entire time from booking to checkout (and even after) was superb...even dropped me off in the morning. I checked in very late but this wasn't an issue...and house is very close to town centre which is a big bonus. The room itself was clean, comfortable and felt premium. It was a lovely stay, and will use again when next I visit Taunton.

This place is wonderful for a peaceful stay in the country. So much light, lovely views, warm and cosy, beautifully decorated, fantastic kitchen, friendly animals and kind host. What more can one ask?

We had a fantastic time at Butterlaw Cottage. The cottage is decorated to high standard and was really cosy and comfortable. Our babies / toddlers loved all the animals and one even got to feed and ride on one of the pigs. We would definitely return. The cottage was an ideal place for the five of us to stay for a few days over last weekend. It's a stylish, comfortable and well-equipped space in a lovely remote location. We loved waking up and watching the pigs in the morning. We were made very welcome too (thank you Stanley)!

A really wonderful stay! Butterlaw Cottage was perfect for our group break, with a big open plan shared space, lovely bedrooms and a relaxed feel. In addition to the lovely cottage, the location is secluded with a big garden and beautiful views. We loved the visits from the animals! Not only was our dog welcome in the cottage, we had cuddles with the resident dogs and pigs (we miss them). So many lovely walks nearby, once there with all you need, you can put the car keys away. We all highly recommend this cottage and Andrew and family are wonderful hosts, we'd love to go back.

Gary and Shaz were amazing hosts and went out of there way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. This house could be featured in an issue of Elle Decoration as it is so stylishly decorated. The room was very comfortable and looked over the lovely peaceful garden and the bathroom which was next to the bedroom was very modern. The house was extremely clean! Cleaner than any hotel or bed and breakfast I have ever stayed at. I wouldn't hesitate to stay with Gary and Shaz again.

This was a lovely place to stay. A fascinating house full of interesting things and very hospitable and friendly hosts. It was spotlessly clean and we were left a good breakfast. It's a few minutes walk from most places and very handy if, like us, you are visiting the County Cricket Ground.

Another great stay at Gary's. Gary was there to greet me and as before, bright, cheery room with immaculate bathroom and a great selection of teas and coffee. Quiet with good blackout blinds. So quiet despite being in town centre that I slept right through until 9am! Parking space near to town too which is a bonus and you can walk into town in a couple of minutes. Will definitely be back again as such great value.

Our first airbnb experience in the UK, good room & bathroom, Gary was very hospitable, and it was all very easy. This is well situated to enjoy Taunton without having to worry about parking. Recommended, and would be happy to return in future.

The arrival was a bit difficult because Sarah could not be there to hand over the house keys in person and to make a brief introduction of the cozy little cottage and I was not entirely clear which room I can use and it lacked specific instructions thè kitchen, bathroom , heating and electrical appliances. But after a day I was settled in and felt very well.

Lovely house in a great location, comfy bed, clean & very unique with easy access to everything you need. Sarah was very helpful & very relaxed. We didn't meet her but she was very prompt in replying to all of our messages and easy to get hold of on the phone, we would definitely stay again.

Even earlier communication was very pleasant, clean and uncomplicated. Arriving itself also, it was clear where I would find the key when nobody is there. The description of the location of the house in the ad is almost modest: when I was in arrived I was in awe: A small alley with a loud transactions without traffic - a wonderful atmosphere in which I, I also felt very safe alone. And the encounter with the landlady was very warm!

My parents came for a full month to visit us and enjoy Taunton . This was their longest ever break and I wanted it to be perfect. Many thanks to Sarah and Jeremy for the way they made their stay absolutely comfortable. Sarah was regularly in contact with us and ensuring that everything we needed was taken care of right away. It is a lovely property, well maintained and also right at the heart of the city centre. I would highly recommend this property to whoever wants to have a comfortable stay and also enjoy the buzz of city centre within a reasonable budget.

We had a very good stay over four days. Sarah and Jeremy were there when we arrived and made us feel very at home with big cups of hot chocolate. We made good use of the kitchen and local shops on the doorstep in a little charming alley way. It is right in the centre of Taunton and easily accessible by public transport. Parking a car could be a problem during the day.

The house was a bit difficult to find but when we collected the keys we were given good directions. The home was warm and comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and easy to talk to. We had a very pleasant stay.

A hidden gem in the Blackstone Hills. Lovely old farmhouse with self contained guest flat on first floor. Big comfy rooms and lots of generous extras. Matthew was very helpful and welcoming.

This is a wonderful, wonderful location. Right in the heart of Taunton. Everything is literally a stone's throw away. The house itself is lovely. The kitchen is very well equipped - the only thing we lacked was a colander, but we improvised splendidly.

The cottage was lovely and homely. Sarah was very helpful and fixed a minor issue I had with the door. Ideal for me working so close by!

A nice place to stay in the town centre. So close to lovely little shops and cafes but not busy or noisy at all.

Charming and welcoming home, very central location, really helpful owners and would totally recommend the cosy cafe just behind the property for a corking breakfast.

Sarah and Jeremy's cottage is in an amazing location- incredibly convenient for anything and also completely peaceful. The house is beautiful... really spacious yet every room has a homely, cozy feel. The attention to small details like the garden lighting, low lighting in all rooms and furnishings was lovely too. There were only two of us, but this would be a comfortable space even for 6 or 8 people with three rooms and the possibility of making an additional sleeping space in the lounge.

Sweet cottage; excellent quiet but central location; and great value for money.

Gill and John are fantastic hosts. Helpful above and beyond. They really made you feel at home but respect privacy. Breakfast is great, and nice large bedroom room. Really recommend this, especially as it is so close to the centre of town, a nice short walk across a weir and park, and really close supermarket in walking distance. Overall great place to stay in Taunton.
