Lovely apartment in a quaint village. The photos really undersell the place, it's great. Gino was also very gracious about accommodating our insanely late (past midnight) arrival.

We stayed 1 night here and really enjoyed it. The room was nice with a good view and the bed was big and comfortable and clean... Gino was very kind and prepared everything. He was a great host!!

Sabrina (Gino's girlfriend) was very welcoming. The flat was very nice, and as described. Mercallo is a great small and quiet city. We enjoyed our stay there. Internet was not working but Gino do his best to solve the problem with the phone compagny.

Had a pleasant staying in the house of Gino. Although we just had a one night sleep-and-go experience. The atmosphere of the house was very pleasant, i thought in real even better than i expected from the nice pictures. The contact with Gino, by phone and internet, was also pleasant and clear. This way it wasn't necessary to meet him personally to have a good staying. This due to the circumstances at that moment ( late arrival due to traffic jams). If you need to be in that area, i can recommend Gino's place, situated in a nice rural small village.

Gino's place was the perfect place for me to stay for four weeks while on a course in Sesto Calende. Gino is a very friendly and helpful host and generally left me to get on with things but was always quick to reply if I needed anything. The surrounding area has plenty of places to visit, the nearby lake is particularly nice to walk and run around. The village of Mercallo has a nice pizzeria, small supermarket and cafe. Sesto Calende is only 10 minutes drive and has a much wider choice of restaurants and shops. The apartment is very much a home rather than a hotel so don't expect an anonymous bland apartment, on the plus side this also means it has everything you could need for even very long stays (eg iron, washing machine, dishwasher, stereo, wifi, plenty of kitchenware and spare linen etc). All in all I can highly recommend the apartment for short or long stays. Thanks Gino!

Gino is a new AirBnB host and I feel very lucky to be one of his first guests. I selected the apartment based on proximity to the airport for one night and wish I had more time to devote to the area. Gino is very welcoming and his place is full of curiosities from his travels such as the lovely wooden doors and stairsteps. He shared information about the neighborhood (pedestrian path, restaurants, cafe, mini-mart) and was very responsive by text. Everything was as described/pictured and clean and comfortable for us.

Our stay was amazing, we had a great time at Gianluca's place during our weekend stay. The house was just as advertised. We came for a lake weekend, but unfortunately it rained during our vacation. They were nice enough to bring umbrellas to the house before the rain started so we could still go to the market and dinner without getting soaked. Ended the weekend going to their restaurant which was delicious. If we are ever in Mercallo again, we will definitely stay here.

Gianluca and his wife met us at the house and gave us a very thorough tour of the house and its ammenities. The house and location were perfect for our family needs. Our hosts were extremely helpful and accommodating, providing information about the area. They even personally guided us to a wonderful small town on the lake. Mecallo is a sweet little village with loads of character and charm.

Gianluca en zijn vrouw hebben ons zeer goed ontvangen in Mercallo. Hoewel ze enkel Italiaans spreken, was het een hartelijke en fijne ontvangst. Ze geven de nodige informatie, ook over de bezienswaardigheden. Het huis zelf is groot, met een zalig terras. Het zicht is exact zoals op de foto. Bij alle weersomstandigheden konden we buiten zitten. Het enige minpuntje daar is de grote baan die nogal dichtbij loopt, maar dat valt mee. Er was 1 matras die wat beter kon, maar dat kan makkelijk verholpen worden. Het huis is in een heel klein dorpje gelegen, met alle voorzieningen (bakker, winkeltje, gelato!!!:-)), maar om iets te bezichtigen van Lago Maggiore heb je sowieso een auto nodig. Het is wel op 5 minuten van de autostrade, dus alles is makkelijk bereikbaar, wij zijn op 4 dagen naar Milaan, Stresa (Isola Bella en Isola Madre aan te raden), Angera (restaurant aan het water aan te raden, 1 km voorbij centrum) geweest, dus topverblijf! Veel succes aan Gianluca en zijn vrouw!

Abbiamo approfittato della casa solo per una notte, però è proprio in una bella posizione, con ampi locali comodamente arredati, un grande terrazzo, un bel giardino e una bella vista. Padroni di casa cordiali e disponibili.

Belle maison et magnifique terrasse dans une région splendide. Hôtes charmants et très gentils. Mais il manque beaucoup de choses dans la cuisine pour pouvoir vraiment cuisiner. Dommage aussi qu'il n'y ait qu'une salle de bains et toilettes vu la capacité d accueil (9 personnes). Le lieu est par ailleurs un peu bruyant (4 voies à proximité ) mais nous avons quand même beaucoup profité de la terrasse. Enfin à noter que l'interrupteur d'une des chambres se trouve dans le couloir. Merci encore à Barbara pour son accueil et de nous avoir apportés des grandes tasses, poêles et cafetière.

Tatiana with her husband were very joyful hosts and it was a great pleasure to stay with them. They have plenty of tourist maps and advices and tips where to go and what to see. We even had a cold beer in the fridge ready! Thank you.

Fantastic stay in Mercello, Tatiana and family made us feel very welcome, gave us lots of local info and left us to enjoy our stay. The apartment was very comfy and we had everything we needed, we would thoroughly recccomend it! Just for info if you're planning on visiting the village, we were there on a Monday and Tuesday and all the local restaurants were closed so struggled to find anywhere to eat at night, other days there seemed to be good options. V easy access to the lakes and a good town 10 mins down the road.

It was a real pleasure to stay at Tatiana´s place! She answered all of the messages really fast and was very flexible with the arrival time! The apartment was very clean and snacks and drinks were prepared for us to have breakfast! The location was in a quiet area, but not far away from Lago Maggiore and Milano. Very kind and helpful at all times. Tatiana is a wonderful person and so are her husband and kids. The aparment is big enough for a family of 4. The bathroom is OK. There is no cooker, but there is a microwave oven. The TV works OK, too. There is no specific parking are for the car, but parking is relatively easy in the vicinity. Highly recommendable.

We enjoyed our stay in Mercallo, Tatiana and Roberto were very nice and helpful, their apartment was so cute and tidy, very clean, close to airport and main shops, easy to get to fiera Milano and Maggiore lake. The place was quiet and peaceful, birds were singing in the morning, we didn't want to leave!! There was a table with chairs outdoor, to drink wine in the open air, we will surely come back and recommend this place to everyone!

Stefano's place is sooo Italian in atmosphere and in style. It's beautiful and he is such an amazing host! old and new are combined in such a unique way, his place could easily make it into an architecture &design magazine :) Stefano made us feel extremely comfortable and since we only stayed one night we will definitely try to come back again!!!!

Con grande sorpresa ci siamo trovati in un ambiente spettacolare. Immersi nel verde con una collina a disposizione ove camminare dentro una vigna. Ambiente curatissimo in ogni particolare con design studiato. Piscina pulitissima. Camere spaziose e pulite. Addirittura sauna in camera. Veramente un soggiorno a 5 stelle. Complimenti.

A perfect house . Well furnished and the kitchen was equipped with all you need. Enough place for us all an a wonderful garden. Natalia was very helpful.We were fallen in love with the house and we want to come back another time.

We loved the place. It is calm and the garden is wonderful. We loved the grill and the weather was splendid. Down the hill there is “Bar Gelateria Pizzeria La Parada”. The icecream is phenomenal and I probably had one of the best cappucinos there ever. We were there with two families and the place is good for up to 6 adults and 2-4 children. It was cool, that the heating was still on. April is dangerous. Showers were a charm. Fireplace is lovely. The restaurant directly at the street “Trattoria Delle Zucche” is awesome. It was so good that we almost did not try “Osteria Da Jerry”. But Jerry gave us the best restaurant expertise during the whole trip. He does not have a menu card. You get what his kitchen prepares and they adapt to your preferences. Not good for vegans, but awesome for omnivores. This is what could be better: More deck chairs outside. There was only one. The Wifi was below standard. A mobile stick that was out of bandwith on our last day. A hairdrier would be cool. A bigger working TV would be nice. We did not need it though. The sofas are ‘used’. A bigger laundry rack would be appreciated. We loved the cats and it is a highly recommendable place after all. Thank you so much for having us. Check it out. It’s magic.

The house is beautiful. Looks much better in reality than in the pictures. Great location for day trip to all 3 great lakes and Milano. Less than one hour away from Lugano, Switzerland. Natalia and her family are very helpful and very nice. The house is big and well equipped. We would love to come back.

Natalias house was very nice, and even better than expected. Lots of room for many people, we were only 6. The village is nice and quiet with a good restaurant just 100 m from the house. But supermarket is about 5 km away. We would gladly come back another time. The area is nice. And especially the house is perfect for a trip to the north of Italy.

Natalia was very kind we did find a home for a small fee, with fresh fruits and vegetables. It has been available for our every need. The highly recommend.

We were a group of 7 and stayed at Natalia's for 4 days. We have no complaints whatsoever. Everything was clean and Natalia was more then generous as she even bought some food for us and put it in the kitchen compartment. We stayed outside up until late in the night and were, I assume, quite noisey, still there were no complaints by any neighbors. I can only recommend the house!

A very warm house, or reign Wellbeing. We spent an excellent stay in Angera.

We enjoyed staying as guests of Alessandra & Marco for a week. The unit was quiet, comfortable & clean with nice linens & towels. This was the first place in Europe we stayed that had sheets, not doonas, making it much more comfortable sleeping in this last lot of hot weather. Lago Maggiore ferry & train day trip was long but worth the effort. Marco & I got together on the last afternoon & he imparted some of his local bread baking/pizza skills plus that evening we shared the pizza's with them & friend Christina plus husband. One would need a vehicle when staying here. Parking was easy, plus access to very nice supermarkets & such was a breeze.

This apartment is like it looks on the pictures. Stylish and cosy with Alessandra as a great host. We had a great time there. You can reach a lot of destination within an hour e.g. Mottarone for hiking, Isola Bella, Safari Park, Milano, Vicolungo for outlet shopping and can spent the rest of the day on the sunny terrace. 5 stars!

We do not stumbled upon Casa di Buz, but it's worth the find ... charming place in a village, the warm welcome, everything is prepared for it to feel good, it is a ideal location for touring in the area of the Lakes.

Super accommodation, beautifully decorated. Pleasantly cool even on very hot days. The property is very quiet and you feel in Italy arrived, nevertheless can be reached very quickly by car everything. To our surprise, we received a basket of vegetables from Alessandra's garden. Alessandra is a very nice host institutions which are very concerned about your guests and always ensures that a lack nothing.

Hello, very quiet and relaxing location with beautiful views of the lake - especially from the 1st floor and the bedroom. Overall very nice and newly built apartment on 2 floors and everything was very clean and spacious. Great kitchen on the ground floor. We had as a family (4 people) a great week in the really very generous house. The contact Lisa on site was very, very nice !! Baker is easy to reach in and by car. If we return to the region, we are the hotel gladly again take! Even trips to Lake Maggiore and Milan are not a problem. Really easy access by car!

Nadia and Alessandro prepared us a warm welcome (homemade gem and honey, and a bottle of Prosecco). House is very well equipped, clean, well decorated and location is ideal with a real nice lake view. We had a very nice and relaxing time, plenty of restaurants in the area to enjoy as well as nice places to visit with plenty of nature around.

Roberta and Fabio are wonderfully friendly and trusting people. Our beautiful room in their newly renovated house has a large roof windows and a private bathroom with a sink. A spiral staircase füht up from the large living room; Unfortunately, there is no door to the room is all foreclose against noise and odors. But Roberta and Fabio are very discreet and try to interfere as little as possible. During the day they were both working and we could see the very nice bathroom, kitchen and living room to use as we were old friends. All very stylish and comfortable. The two cats are shy but cute. The location of the house is quiet; in only a few meters start the green hills. The town center one goes about 10 minutes, just 10 minutes to the train station. We were really very nice and relaxing days in Sesto. And the accommodation is highly recommended.

Roberta and Fabio’s house is fantastic, very stylish, with spacious rooms. Well-equipped kitchen, bathroom. It is a quiet, peaceful house. It is a 20 minutes walk from the train station and 30 minutes from Sesto Calende central part. But it worth to walk uphill! Cats are very cute but not so friendly but really cute:) We had a nice chat in one of our evening with Roberta, she is very nice, kind and helpful. Good starting point to discover Lago Maggiore (but please notice that ferry is starting from Arona not from Sesto Calende – however Sesto it is just 7 minutes by train from Arona). I definitely recommend to stay here, this was our BEST Airbnb experience so far! :) Thank you for everything, Roberta! :)

I spent a wonderful moment at Roberta 's place. The house is located in the residential area of Sesto, which allowed me to discover a new part of the city. The bedroom is extremely clean and cozy and the living room is quite stylistic. Roberta is very friendly and helpful for all. I felt easily at home since the first day. Good option for going to the exposition.

Miranda is very nice and was very available before and during our short stay. The small house Baubaus is like in the photos, attipique- not brand new but there are lots of charm. The bedding and towels had been provided were clean and it was perfect for our family and very close to the airport. If we return to Milan, we surely will come to Baubaus. Very good value for money.

We enjoyed the days in Baubaus house. The place is perfect to make trips into the Lago Maggiore area or Varese and Milan. The kitchen was well equipped and there was enough sleeping place for five. Miranda was a very nice host and did everything to let us feel welcome. Unfortunately there was no working WiFi. There is Internet via lancable and we had to buy a access point to have Wifi.

Good place. Our group loved the house, it's located in a tiny and tranquil village, and Miranda helped us with some suggestions for our trips in the area. One thing to note, there is poor cellphone reception in the area and wifi gives little to no signal indoor, for reliable use you have to go outside.

This Baubaus House stay was very nice! The housing corresponds to photos and will seduce you with its unusual and warm side. Parties to 4 people to visit the Expo 2015, we take this a bit off-center location to also discover nearby Lake Maggiore Vergiate. Miranda The accommodation is situated in a charming village close to the lakes Maggiore and Varese, and access to the motorway to Milan. The house is original and cozy. It is very clean and very well equipped. One of our children has been called home "funny". Our kids loved their sleeping space upstairs. We all enjoyed the terrace where we had breakfast every morning, hearing the roosters and the bells of the Church.

The accommodation is curious and friendly, handmade ready-mady, there is plenty of peace and quiet, you can hear the roosters sing in the morning, and the tolling of the bells that mark the hour. Every so often you hear a break plane Malpensa but not disturbing. To try!!

we were guests by Andrea for a weekend; the experience was very positive, the house is warm and comfortable experience. very quiet and green; but in any case not far from supermarkets, restaurants or highway. unfortunately the weather was not our friend, because, though the terrace is very pleasant and is suitable for bbq or relaxing in the afternoon sun. we have not got to know Andrea in person, but left us all the information and a contact person, which is also very kind. the experience was definitely positive and to be recommended.

As of 16/9/13 The plane was late arriving, so we arrived late at the BNB, yet Luca was still there, greated us graciously filled us with all necessary info and when we were satisfied, Luca then left for work. My son and I are both over 6 feet high, even thou it was a pull out bed lounge, it wqs very comfortale and we slept very well. All facilities for the bnb were shared, kitchen, bathroom, no problems as timing between tenants varied so did not clash. Only those with transport should very highly consider this bnb, as it is a bit out of the way of those without a car. Priced very well for location.

A beautiful house, equipped of all that can serve and so much extra. The house has four floors, including the garage. A beautiful location, quiet, a few km from Lake Maggiore. Clean, cute, comfortable and pleasant. Luke was always available to spegare all that interested us.

We have been in this house with a group of friends (6 total) for New Year. The house is very large (2 floors plus attic) with a comfortable ground floor with kitchen (oven, microwave and dishwasher) and living room with working fireplace with a sofa but only for 2/3 people. 3 bedrooms (2 double and 1 with double bed in the attic) simply furnished, 3 bathrooms (one per floor) but only one has a shower. House clean and equipped with basic amenities, some problems to warm data frames a bit 'dated but in general good accommodation with a good quality / price ratio. Heating to be paid separately.

We loved our stay at Raffaela and her husband. They were really interesting and kind people, who are open for a good chat. Raffaela was really welcoming and a great host, she did everything for us to make it a wonderful stay. The place looks even better in real and the house and pool are so pretty. She made us dinner, which was really nice! Many courses and different dishes with local italian products. We enjoyed our time and would recommend this to everyone!

We loved our stay at Inarzo! When arriving they made us feel welcome and we could immediatelly take the bikes to go around the lake. When the bed in the room would be an actual bed the stay would even have been more perfect! The breakfast in the morning was really nice and they are just lovely! Hope to come back one day!
