Phil was there to meet us and made us feel very welcome. The annexe is beautifully decorated and the fittings are to a very high standard, we especially liked the musical ephemera.

We had the most perfect stay. Could not have asked for more from the beautiful annexe (small but perfectly formed and beautifully furnished) and the hospitality of Phil and Sarah. Special mention goes to the most comfortable bed I've had the good fortune of sleeping in. 5 stars.

Our stay at child orkford was very relaxing. We were met by Sara and shown around the delightful cottage, where there was everything we needed. The cottage had been renovated to a high standard using local materials. We would definitely visit again and recommend a stay here.

Dear Sue, Thank you for sharing your absolutely beautiful garden and lovely renovated 'Old Stables'. It is truly a home away from home, which made our stay very comfortable and relaxing. Lesley, who helps Susan with the property, greeted us on arrival and helped us settle in. She was very welcoming and helpful. We had such beautiful weather we couldn't bring ourselves to leave the magical garden that you have created with its exquisite scents and blooms. There are some lovely walks around the village and we ventured up Hambledon Hill, the views were breathtaking. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend this to anyone who wants some peace and quiet, and of course be surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Fantastic Cottage very well equipped

This is a delightful place for a restful (or energetic) break. There are lots of lovely places to visit; the coast is less than an hour away and there are wonderful walks close at hand. Prides Cottage is full of charm with beams and even a secret second staircase, but is also fully equipped for modern living and all appliances work well. Kate provided lots of detailed information so that we knew where to find everything both in the cottage and in the local area. We particularly enjoyed discovering the Georgian town of Blandford Forum and would recommend Beaton's afternoon tea! Thanks Kate for all your help**

The perfect scattering of pubs to rest at whilst you enjoy roaming the countryside. Ending the days in the delight of snuggling next to the cosy crackle of the fireplace! Pure bliss!

A truly lovely cottage, cosy and well-equipped and in a nice village with fabulous walks on the doorstep, a shop/cafe 3 minutes walk away open until 7pm, and two great dog-friendly pubs. A lovely area of Dorset too. Wish we could have stayed longer, but managed to cram a lot into 3 days.

This was our memorable experience even for just one night. It was only 20 minutes driving from cluds hill. As you can see the pictures, her house and garden give us so delightful time and the fulfillment. You should stay for three days more. We learened British people's dawelling houses were more excellent than famous archtecture. Lisa is very kind and cheerful person with much knowledge about gardening, architkuture,cooking and roads. We hope to visit again.

We had a fantastic stay here with our one year old daughter. Lisa was everything you could want from a host, making us feel very welcome. The supplies on the room were a lovely touch and the cooked breakfast delicious. Our daughter loved the dogs but you could see they were very well trained. Lisa gave us lots of useful infomation about places to visit in the local area and the Ice cream gardens are a treat not to be missed! Would definitely recommend.

We wanted a little hideaway so we could get out of London, relax and breathe some fresh country air. We got exactly that with Lisa's beautiful, cosy cottage. The cottage was exactly as described, small but perfectly formed and a great deal of effort has gone into the design and finishing touches. From the super soft pillows, to the high quality cosy blankets through to the beautiful smelling Molton Brown shower gel, it's wonderfully luxurious. Lisa made us feel welcomed and at home from the minute we arrived, going over and above anything I had expected or experienced previously. The breakfast each morning was wonderful and Lisa gave us sons wonderful tips of where to go on our day trips to see the beauty of this area of the country. The only thing I would say is that you would probably need a car as I'm not sure if there is much close by to walk to (we had a car so we were totally fine and of course I could be wrong so best to check) The Annexe was stocked with lovely treats which were such a pleasant surprise but again, gave the feeling of a home from home. I really hope my review does this place justice as I cannot recommend the annexe highly enough.

We have the most pleasant stay despite it being a short one. We really enjoyed the lovely garden as well. Lisa has been the most considerate host and provided just everything we needed.

If you are considering staying with Lisa - stop hesitating and do your best to book in here! We just spent 3 nights in the beautifully decorated and well stocked annex and just loved it... The annex is in the most beautiful location and there are some incredible restaurants - we are foodies and came away very happy! Lisa cannot do enough for you - the kitchen is stocked with so many treats including beers, chocolate, breads, fruit and yogurts, among other things and if she offered you some 'eggs' you will be sure to receive the best full English breakfast you've ever tasted! We are already looking for when we can take our springer spaniel back for another relaxing retreat. Thank you so much Lisa!

Fantastic communication and we were made to feel so welcome after a particularly long and tiring journey with a 4 month old. Lisa went above and beyond and we were so impressed by all the lovely little touches in the cottage. We also had a lovely home cooked breakfast which went down a treat after a hard nights partying at a wedding! Highly recommended.

What a lovely stay we had at Lisa's little Victorian cottage in the garden of her ancient thatched house. Beautifully furnished with antiques, heavy curtains, a superbly comfortable king size bed, and a nice kitchen area with microwave, it was perfect for a break away from the bustle of the world. And a huge plus was that Lisa provided us with loads of lovely food and drinks, a Continental breakfast all ready to eat, and even cooked us a full English breakfast on two days! You definitely don't need to take any food with you for a stay here. Lisa is incredibly nice and helpful, and her two dogs and cat are just as nice and friendly. Cannot recommend this enough - and we have booked up for another visit in August, so it must be good!

The cottage was cosy and warm and furnished to a really high standard. The treats and breakfast items were wonderful... the diet starts today! We also took advantage of a cooked breakfast with pancakes and maple syrup. Set us up for the day. Molly, our cocker spaniel, loved it too - a lovely garden and Lisa's two dogs who were very friendly.

We had a lovely weekend staying in Sally's well provisioned lodge. Extremely cosy and comfortable with everything we needed. We had not been to Sturminster Newton before and we enjoyed a couple of local walks from the set of walks provided in the lodge. There seems to be plenty to do in the area and we could have easily spent more time there. Sally was a great host.

We recently had a great time in little village at Bland ford. Maggie was very welcoming and offered the room exactly as on picture , Cannot fault the cleanliness of the room and spark less adjacent bathroom . We had a great time at Maggie's place. Maggie made us feel like we were at home since the very beginning. The house is located in a quiet area and it is close to several trekking paths but also at close distance from Poole and Bournemouth's beaches, and other major attractions (Shaftesbury, Salisbury, Stonehenge). So it is ideal to explore the area, which is beautiful and offers a lot. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept extremely well. The house was extremely well cleaned and Maggie even offered us coffee and fruits for breakfast. We felt even better than in a hotel! Myself and a friend recently stayed with Graham and Catherine for two nights when we were in town for a wedding. We had the loveliest time and would 100% stay with them again. Our bedroom was so lovely, it had everything that you would need: dressing gowns; tea & coffee in room; TV and a very comfy bed. Graham and Catherine served us a delicious breakfast each morning and even offered to collect and drop us to the bus stop! The house was so lovely and was located in the most beautiful little village and we just wish we had more time there.

Graham and Catherine are wonderful hosts, we immediately felt welcome and at home. We recommend this pretty double room in the strongest possible terms.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very cozy and clean, loads of natural light, even though it rained most of the time :). We had very warm welcome from Catherine and Graham & their dog. Village was very quite, just what we needed from buzzy London. They have helped us with planning our trips. The location quite nice as it is 40 min drive for Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, weymouth beach & Bournemouth, and 1 hour to Bath. Lovely stay, we will come back but in sunny weekend :)

Graham and Catherine are great hosts. My wife and I were immediately made welcome with coffee and homemade flapjacks. We enjoyed a most comfortable bed in an attractively furnished room. Their home is spacious and it was a pleasure to sit out in the large garden. Breakfast was delicious and very wholesome, with fresh local produce. We have fond memories of our stay, it was a marvellous first-time experience of AirBnB hospitality.

Graham and Catherine were very welcoming and were flexible about our arrival time. The location of the bungalow was lovely; a very quiet and rural village. The room and separate bathroom were exceptionally clean and tidy. Breakfast was also top notch! Cereal, toast, bagels, croissants, mixed fruit, tea, coffee and orange juice were all available as well as superb jams and fine local honey! I would definitely recommend Meadowcroft as a fantastic place to stay; lovely environment and friendly hosts with excellent local knowledge :)

What a find! Catherine and Graham were amazing hosts. Their hospitality made this stay very special. The room was immaculate and cosy, with very nice private bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Fran was a wonderful host who is a working lady, leaving the keys with her neighbour who was waiting to greet us on our arrival. When Fran arrived home at 18.30 she introduced herself and accepted a glass of wine on our wonderful sun drenched patio and couldn't have been more welcoming. The breakfast was to die for with homemade bread, eggs, serial and fruit juice and all for £45 for the two of us. To be picky the on suite loo was a bit tiny and you had to jump to see in the mirror! We will return when next in the location. D & D

Fran is a fantastic host and her home is a lovely, relaxed place to stay. There is a wonderful family atmosphere and Fran and her family made us feel incredibly welcome. Fran was very helpful with giving us recommendations of places to go, and the house was a great location for driving out to the attractions of the Jurassic Coast. The room is very comfortable and had everything we needed, as well as access to the pretty garden. I would highly recommend staying here!

The Hosts were very accommodating throughout the stay. It was an ideal place to stay. Our own seperate area to spend our time. The surrounding area was good for walking across the fields. Very friendly area including pubs and nearby shops. Off street parking and a no through road.

Sheeley was extremely welcoming and very friendly throughtout our visit to her beautiful cottage. We were made to feel at home straight away, she was very easy to chat to had a good knowledge of local surroundings and went out of her way to find a local restaurant serving vegetarian food on a Sunday evening for us. The breakfast she provided was lovely and we had ordered a cream tea for our arrival which was perfect. We would definitely stay with Shelley again given the opportunity.

This is an amazing cottage and village to stay in. Shelley provided an amazing breakfast that was very cheap (£8.50) for a great amount of home cooked and fresh food from their property. They had chickens on the property which provided fresh eggs and also bee hives away from the house that provided fresh honey. Quiet little place to escape to in a nice village.

The cottage was charming and it was an experience staying in something so historical. Shelley and her husband were extremely welcoming and we had a good time talking to them! The countryside is simply beautiful and tranquil.

Shelley was at her home to meet us when we arrived. We were offered s welcome drink and were told we could help ourselves to tea and coffee. She knew tgw area very well and was able to recommend places to eat and drink and together with her partner gave us great advice of where to walk and enjoy the scenery. She was safety conscious and explained about her hawks and dogs who were kept secure. We were fascinated by her description of managing the birds. There are chickens and bees so guests can enjoy the benefits of their labours. It was a very quiet location and we were able to enjoy sitting out for breakfast which Shelley offered. A memorable stay.

Had a wonderful stay here. It's just as described and very comfortable. The decor is very nice and there are some really lovely touches to the place. Sarita was a great host and an excellent communicator and on hand if we needed anything. We travelled with a 6 month old baby and Sarita was able to supply a microwave, high chair and a cot which was brilliant. The beds were lovely and comfy as was the free standing bath! We mostly stayed in so couldn't comment on the local area but Sarita did supply a list of places to visit/eat etc which all looked very good. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for a lovely stay.

I would definitely recommend Sarita's coachhouse! This was a great place to spend a few days relaxing and using it as our base... a real home from home which was lovely to return to at the end of a day at the beach. Plenty of toys and DVDs for our kids to play with and they LOVED the huge climbing frame and slides. The decor is beautiful, the beds are very comfortable and the coachhouse is filled with everything you might need and more and we instantly settled right in! Hope to return again soon :-)

We are a family of five and we stayed at Sarita's new annexe for five days. We loved the house from the very first moment and Sarita did everything to make us feel at home. The kids really liked their upstairs bedroom and the fact that they could move their beds around. They had their own beautiful bathroom, which was totally clean. The parents' bedroom and its bathroom was fantastic, too. The kitchen was very functional and we liked to cook there. The spacious garden is fantastic and the place is absolutely quiet. Sarita is an excellent host and the next time we will stay longer at this beautiful place.

Sarita was the best host EVER! We were lucky to be greeted with the type of southern charm you'd expect from a Texan ;-) and surprised to find her out in the middle of the English countryside. The carriage house is modern and reflects the tender loving care that is made evident throughout the property. We were fortunate enough to be welcomed into the main house for a meal, shared with friends, and able to meet her adorable family. Sarita is an exceptionally accommodating host and made every minute of our stay pleasurable. I can't recommend her or the home enough for those who find themselves near West Orchard (whether trying to catch a glimpse of Guy Ritchie or heading to Larmer Tree Gardens for an event. The area is majestic and filled with a number of quaint places to explore.

The house was exactly as describe. The place around is quiet but a lot of nice gardens or places to visit. The house is quite isolated but Shaftesbury is only 10 minutes far and a lot of places to visit are within one hour. We really enjoyed our stay.

A perfect place for the 3 of us to stay for our visit to monkey world. We were met by Sue with a smile and a wave and made to feel very welcome. The annexe is on the ground floor with 3 good size double bedrooms and is very cosy and bright. We only booked in for one night but would certainly revisit and stay for longer. We were welcomed into their back garden outside the annexe kitchen door where we found comfy furniture and a lot of sun. The house backs onto fields (full of horses) and woodland and was a very pleasant setting. When booking for our night away, we really were looking for home from home and this did tick all the boxes for us. Much better and bigger then a hotel room and having booked last minute, cheaper for us as well. There is a fairly busy road to the side of the property which we did find to be a little noisy on arrival, but we live in the Suffolk countryside with minimal traffic so soon got used to it. Very easy to get to with many good pubs and restaurants within 10-20 mins driving distance. Although we took everything with us, tea, coffee and sugar was provided and milk was offered on arrival. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we would have needed. It's little touches like this that made the stay even more enjoyable

I stayed with Louisa whilst walking the Wessex Ridgeway.Louisa was friendly and welcoming; my room and bathroom were clean and spacious. There was a wonderfully eclectic library of books to dip into and a superb view of the Dorset hills from the window. Louisa went the extra mile (8 miles to be precise) to buy some non-dairy milk for my breakfast (I'd forgotten to notify her in advance). In the morning she very kindly drove me to the start of my day's trek. I would certainly recommend Fivepenny House.

Louisa and her husband were welcoming hosts, with a lovely home in the beautiful Dorset countryside. Really enjoyed meeting with her two friendly dogs and horse. Appreciated being able to walk out of the house and into the countryside, where I saw woodpeckers, pheasant and an idyllic countryside in full bloom. Very peaceful and quiet. Comfortable bed and great breakfast.

Louisa and Donald were very welcoming and friendly. They were very good with our dog (golden lab) and had no worries about letting her run around freely and playing with their 2 dogs. The room we had was a very good size and we had our own bathroom which was again a very good size. Everything was clean. Louisa got breakfast ready for us at 7am as we had to leave at 7.30am. There was a good selection of cereals, juice, tea, coffee, croissants and fruit which was much appreciated. Although we were only staying with Louisa and Donald for a matter of hours we would recommend staying there and if we are ever in the area again will definetly be back. Thanks Mark and Jemma

My boyfriend and I enjoyed an awesome little weekend away at Mary-Anne's lovely house. The house is so cosy, clean and comfortable - and we were made to feel very welcome by our host and her family. The village is beautiful with great local woods and hills for exploring. The next-door pub serves fantastic food and local ales - we very much enjoyed our visit there. Mary-Anne & Sam also cook a fabulous poached egg breakfast at weekends too! We would not hesitate in going back there. We had a great time!

Great place to stay, wonderful house, warm welcome and freedom to enjoy ourselves and the local area. Fresh eggs straight from the chickens *** for breakfast! The house is truly an experience in itself, and we were very snug and secure in our cosy loft room, with wonderful soft clean sheets and large double bed to welcome at the end of a long evening in the handy pub next door.

We agreed an arrival time in advance and were well received. Mary-Anne took the time to explain the routine and something about the village and local area. It is a lovely house and we were made to feel very welcome. We had a choice of rooms, both very nice, and there is a good shower bathroom. Access to the bedrooms is via a shared staircase to the first floor but the family have their own facilities behind a closed door so you feel you are not intruding on their space. We had a nice breakfast and again it was lovely to be able to chat and relax in a family atmosphere.

Had a lovely relaxing stay at shroton, Cottage well equipped and in perfect location. The food and drink in the cricketers which is only a few doors away is excellent. Hazel the lady who looks after the cottage was very polite and helpful would definitely stay there again.

The cottage is in a very pretty and quiet village. There is a pub next door that serves gastro style food. You should definitely book ahead as it gets very busy. The kitchen is lovely and light and fully kitted out with all you coukd need. The 2 bedrooms are confortable and have lovely views of the garden and the hills beyond. It's super dark and quiet at night so we both slept really well. It's an excellent place to base yourself and go in lots of walks in the Dorset countryside. (There is an excellent little box called "30 Dorset Walks" that we used and went on a few adventures) I would recommend booking a food delivery as the nearest supermarket is 20 mins away. Would very much recommend this property

Lovely place, in a very peaceful area. Short driving distance from shops and pubs. Lots of food provided and hosts were very helpful and accurate.

A wonderful place in a quiet, relaxed location. The apartment is wonderful - the photos do not do it justice and the views overlooking the surrounding countryside are just lovely. We had everything we needed and more - thank you for the extra breakfast bits and apple cake too! Peter & Ann were wonderful hosts. We look forward to visiting again soon.

We had a great stay in this excellent annex. The place is really lovely and surpassed all of our expectations. We received a great welcome and we really appreciated all of the little extras and there was a little survival package of food waiting for us when we arrived. The place has lots of great features such TV with lots of DVDs provided, private parking, lovely patio out the back and so much more.

Another fabulous stay at this lovely place. The annexe is private, comfortable, cozy, and spotless with everything you might need. We loved it so much the first time we booked again. The hosts are friendly and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The place is fantastic value and even more lovely than on the photos. Just stay here!

Even nicer than on the photos and perfect for a little get away for a couple of days. The property has everything you need and more and the hosts were very generous with provisions. It is a very quiet and peaceful location, the beds are comfy and the living areas light and airy and again very comfy and the kitchen has everything you might need. In summary, excellent - we will be back!

Amazing. They provided loads of extras. Lovely and clean.

Peter and his wife are very gracious hosts. They welcomed us and made us visit the house. It is completely independent and consists of two bedrooms, one large and one smaller, with a large living room a beautiful kitchen and a private terrace or one can make a BBQ! and what a beautiful view of the countryside, without any opposite. Nothing is missing to feel like home. The apartment is very well organized and very clean, and also very quiet. We enjoyed nice touches from Peter and his wife who left us milk, what breakfast banana eggs and even a cake made welcome home ... excellent! I recommend this place and wishes to thank our hosts for their kindness. I recommend this property and will return as soon as possible!

the house is really confortable and very clean, we arrived that was late evening and Peter was there still waiting for us!the beds are very confortable and the kitchen as all you need to prepare a good meal ! good internet all considered since the place is kind of secluded...and lots of dvd movie to choose from! parking at two steps of the door, we really appreciate that too! and the quiet? wonderfully silent! perfect to sleep till late! see you next time!
