“Duncan Ray is the only resident chef who will be serving you for your dinner and his approach is all about the attention to detail. Duncan prepares just a small amount of covers/ dinners on a given evening – perhaps only for 20 people. So this type of dining experience is all about the quality, it is about being in the hands of a very capable chef and it will undoubtedly be an experience to savour. ”

“Voted Brighton's 'Most Brighton Venue' 2 years running, the Marwood has built up a solid reputation as the most eclectic & quirky bar around. During the day they serve fresh in-house baked goods & exceptionally sourced coffee, by night they open up the bar with deliciously concocted cocktails on offer. ”

“Head to the beach, it's definitely worth a visit. If you like a busy beach then walk down from the centre of town and go straight onto the beach. If you enjoy a quiet beach, turn left at the Palace Pier or go to Hove Lawns. ”

“Serving up rustic Thai food in a contemporary setting. They have a great choice of Thai culinary treats. With spices imported from Thailand to freshly sourced local ingredients, Giggling Squid surprises with a very unique and nonetheless tasty variety of dishes. Try Thai Green Curry and other original Thai restaurant favourites. And it’s not only seafood, as a great choice of different dishes await – including vegetarian. Enjoy!”

“This, quieter, end of the beach is our favourite spot for swimming and picnic lunches or suppers on milder days. There's a cafe that does great cheese toasted sandwiches and public loos on the seafront near the cafe which can be useful! Head for the dog-friendly beach here if you've a canine companion - or enjoy swimming with dogs (we love it!).”

“With an air of a 1920 prohibition den, the Gin Tub Hove is one of Hove’s newest bars and is quickly making a name for itself as the cosiest drinking spot in town - The only phone you’ll need at the Gin Tub will be the one on your table to ring in your order at the bar! With over 60 gins behind the bar the choice seems endless, they even offer boards which comes with 3 measures of gin, 3 tonics, 3 botanicals and 3 nibbles to compliment the gins. ”

“If you're venturing into Brighton and fancy a special meal try Silo. It's a unique restaurant where the production of waste has been eliminated by choosing to trade directly with farmers, using re-usable delivery vessels and choosing local ingredients that themselves generated no waste.”
