Natural Feature
“Frensham Common is a large expanse of heathland and a site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). It covers 922 acres and consists of dry and wet heath, woodland and ponds (the Great pond being the largest). It serves of great importance for heathland insects, reptiles and birds, such as the Nightjar, Stonechat and Whinchat. It's ideal for walking especially the circular route around the great pond (take your swimmers if it's warm) and perfect for a picnic on the beach area.”
