The house is in a lovely quiet but central location in bolsover, a few pubs and supermarket really close by and very close to the castle. The house itself is charming, plenty of room for 3 couples Including beautiful dining and living room. Thoroughly recommended for a quiet retreat with friends/ family. Danni's father checked us in and was happy to give his number in case of any issues, they made a great, attentive but unobtrusive hosting team.

We couldn't have been made more welcome. Fiona was incredibly helpful when we were arriving a little early and on our arrival the house surpassed what we'd expected. We were really comfortable and the hot tub was a huge hit. Fiona's notes on how to use the hot tub etc were great. Not one gripe from us.

Had a great stay in Bolsover. Lovely warm and comfortable house with everything we needed. Girls loved the playroom and princess castle bed! Great views from the house and only a short walk to Bolsover which we enjoyed exploring. Bolsover Castle is well worth a visit. Good communication from Fiona. Thank you!

Overview A fantastic value for money house. Perfect for families. Great parks nearby, we went to Rother Valley which was amazing. We also went to Three Horseshoes in Clay Cross which was delicious. Communication was fantastic. Felt very at ease at this house. Catherine was very friendly and helped me through the booking process, as this was my first time on airbnb. Unfortunately due to time restrictions when we arrived, she was unable to go through the house and how things worked but she was responsive to my queries during the stay. The house itself appeared to be undergoing a refurbishment but we were disappointed to find that there was no fridge in the kitchen, only a freezer (luckily we had a cool bag and kept rotating the ice blocks). There was no shower in the bathroom, but the bath is very long (my 6ft 4 boyfriend was able to fit in it no problem!). We were disappointed that the main bedroom was not a double bed but 2 singles pushed together (with 2 very separate types of mattresses). Also the living room furniture only consisted of a folding table and chairs and 2 wicker chairs, which could be problematic for anyone with a sore back. The location of the property was fantastic, as it is just a short drive from the centre and close to Bolsover Castle, as well as other nearby local attractions.

Catherine was very friendly, helpful and co-operative during the organizing and booking process. She was waiting at the apartment for me when I arrived (on a freezing cold night) even though I was a bit later than arranged. She explained everything I needed to know about the apartment, and provided me with lots of tips and information about things to see and do in the local area. The apartment itself appears to be in the process of refurbishment (and will undoubtedly be very nice when it is finished), but at the moment it is somewhat 'rustic' and relatively basic. Nevertheless, the heating was excellent (as was the hot bath each night) and was much appreciated during a week where the temperature hardly got above zero! It was also nice to have the whole place to myself. Overall, a comfortable place for a week near the beautiful Peak District, at a very affordable rate.

Modupe and Ian were friendly and helpful! The room was lovely and the private bathroom was great. I loved all the candles around the tub. We were very absent, visiting family but Ian and Modupe made us feel comfortable and welcome. Would definitely stay again.

The place is a Po out of the way so you need to have the car but the house, the facilities, the people and the hospitality are great to recommend.

Very friendly trusting couple who go out of their way to make you feel at home. Parking is good and easy access to motorway for wherever you are heading. Facilities are superb and spotless and you have your own private floor to relax.

Modupe and Ian were excellent hosts. Their home is a comfortable new-build, very clean, with a private 2nd floor bedroom with a comfortable bed and private bathroom. I definitely recommend them!

I had a very pleasant stay with Modupe. She made me feel very welcome, taking the time to explain where things were around the house and that I was free to use them, and she had even gone to the trouble of buying different types of milk to ensure there was something for me. The room was perfect, a nicely furnished bedroom on the top floor of their three storey house, with access to a bathroom just across the landing. I wouldn't hesitate in reccomending Modupe as a host and her home for those needing a warm, comfortable place to rest for a few days.

We had a lovely stay - the place was very well presented and perfect for what we needed.

This stylish, well equipped and beautifully furnished new apartment was very comfortable for our two night stay in Clowne. The apartment is fresh, bright and airey with lots of windows and quality linen and soft furnishings. It was very comfortable indeed and, despite being in a residential complex, was very quiet. The double bed was comfortable with fresh linen and good pillows. There is plenty of storage space and the full kitchen allowed is to cater for 9 of us for a special family gathering. Clowne has a very good Tesco and Aldi as well as a great cafe called Number 4 which made us excellent coffees. There is a pub/restaurant in Elmton called The Elm Tree which was a beautiful location. The food is good although expect chips and onion rings with your steak. We highly recommend this terrific apartment and if we ever get to return to England, will definitely stay here again. Lovely place to stay .

My colleague and I stayed here whilst working in the area instead of taking a couple of rooms in the hotel. The apartment was new, spotless and a delight to come back to at the end of the working day. We would definitely return again.

We spent two nights here whilst I was recovering from surgery at the nearby Barlborough Treatment Centre. The parking space was hard to find as the numbering is not in sequence, but this was cleared up quickly by a phone call to the host. The apartment itself was quiet, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped except for a coffee machine (fortunately I had brought my own). Both beds had excellent mattresses, the one in the smaller double bedroom being a little softer. Communication with the host was excellent. There is a Tesco and Aldi supermarket within easy walking distance. All in all, a very satisfactory stay and we would return.

Excellent location to Creswell Crags, Sherwood Forest and Nottingham. Pub across the street for good beer and live music on Saturday night. Chloe is a fantastic host - great company, flexible and helpful. The room I stayed in was spacious and the facilities were good. Chloe made me feel very much at home. I was in the area for a course at the school of artisan food, and found that public transport is limited and taxis expensive, but it is a lovely walk from Creswell to the school, 1 hr 10 mins-1.5 hours depending on whether you get distracted by Cresswell Crags.

Lovely place made out of a converted garage attic. There is parking on the driveway which is always great. Room was very clean and everything worked well. Towels were provided too which was nice. Very welcoming too.

I arrived quite late and left early AM the next day, the door numbers aren't visible from the back road so took me a few minutes to find the right house. the room is value for money, was close enough to the peak district for me to start my travels in the morning. thanks

Chloe's home has a cosy and peaceful atmosphere. The bedroom l used is a large double and the spacious bathroom was generously stocked with towels and other items guests might need. l felt very at home in her well stocked practical kitchen and resting with my feet up in the restfully decorated lounge, reading or watching the t.v. l had no trouble parking my car. l plan to stay at her home again, this time next year. Chloe is a kind generous and thoughtful host. l can recommend her whole-heartedly.
