Latin American Restaurant
“Nicer restaurant with a fun atmosphere. If you like steak I highly recommend the Hot Rock Filet. The steak comes out mostly cooked on a very hot rock that you finish cooking to your liking. ”

American Restaurant
“These days, the foodie and restaurant world is abuzz with buzzwords. “Local,” “sustainable,” and “hand-crafted” get tossed around more than a good salad. Well, it is one thing to say it and another thing to live it. So when, after 23 years of starting and running restaurants, my wife Amanda and I first started playing with the idea of Fork, we knew it would take a lot of effort to make these words mean something. And that’s what we’re trying to do, by making the ideas—the big ideas—behind these words not just marketing slogans, but at the core of how we spend our day.”

Bar
“This is one of my favorite standard affairs. The owners are local and eco-conscious (think zero packaging and compost worms in the basement for your scraps), they have lots of brews with a fun lounge next door, and the food is delicious at a great price. ”

Brewery
“Right in the action of downtown Boise. One of our oldest brewpubs, churning out award winning beers and delicious pub grub. This 10 barrel brewhouse and our hop-king headbrewer Shawn Kelso make this brewpub the hoppiest place in Idaho and a hub for all your pre-game warm-ups, post-adventure hunger, and quaffing needs. Come crush a beer with us in downtown Boise!”

Huge selection of local/regional beers on tab, excellent food, locally-sourced whenever possible. One of our favorite places! ”

Bar
“The Stagecoach Inn is a Boise institution. It is located in Garden City, just outside of downtown, and is known for their prawns and steaks. The space is dimly lit, cozy, and has a staff that has worked there forever (in the best of ways). Get there early so you don’t have to wait.”

Night Club
“I'm sorry but this might get a bit graphic. This place is one of my favorites for going out and dancing! On the weekends they have the Rocci Johnson Band playing semi-decent covers from a wide variety of classic songs (think Usher, Blink 182, etc.). If you are lucky, Rocci Johnson herself may be singing which is always a sight (she was doing this when my dad was in high school). You'll find bras hanging from the ceiling and on the weekends they usually are handing out, ahem, sex toys to random people next to the stage. Go early to get a good spot.”

“This place is hard to describe. Pool tables in one room and live music in the other. It's slightly elegant and a fun mix of young and old. Don't be surprised if you find yourself partner dancing with someone twice or half your age. ”
