Places to stay in Bath
This Queen Street Apartment is exactly what it says on the tin - it's a centrally-located apartment with lofty appeal. This adults-only pad (12 years and over). Having received a top-to-bottom refurbishment in August 2014, it's a bright and beautiful apartment furnished in our signature style - bold wallpapers and quirky unexpected touches. We've also gone all out with a top-spec espresso machine and Smart TVs throughout.
This multi-talented room is a great space for relaxing in after a busy day exploring the city. With windows on two walls, and high ceiling beams (just like a New York loft apartment), it's a delight to come home to. The high gloss kitchen is kitted out with all the modern appliances you love - fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, cooker with built in microwave and electric hob - as well as some natty extras including an espresso machine and welcome hot drinks. Take our word for it: even cooking won't feel like a chore here, so be sure to buy some local delights whilst you're out and about (there's a farmer's market every Saturday morning so, if you're here over the weekend, do look it up). Master Bedroom This adaptable bedroom offers you the option of twin beds or a kingsize double. Super-spacious, it also has a single sofa bed (please note that this can't be moved), a dressing table, oodles of storage space, a Smart TV and a DAB radio. Second Bedroom This bedroom offers the perfect blend of cosyness and flexibility; despite being smaller than the Master, there's still space for either a kingsize bed, or two singles. Also kitted out with the obligatory Smart TV, this room offers a lovely retreat away from the hubbub of the city. Bathroom Furnished in high gloss white and deep purple, the bathroom has a bath with power shower over, and a toasty electric towel rail. Local True Grace toiletries.
The apartment is located right in the very centre of Historic bath, yet we are just off one of the main streets meaning we are in a relatively quite area. We are located in one of the oldest areas in Bath.
  • Beautiful apartment in excellent spot in Bath city. Highly recommend

  • Good location, very close to the bath church. The house is large, beautiful and comfortable. Willing to stay here next time I come.

  • Central Loft is a lovely, airy, stylish place to stay and it's location in the centre of Bath couldn't be better. It is spotlessly clean and caters for your every need. My daughter and I loved our stay, but sadly it wasn't long enough. I will definitely book again when visiting Bath.

  • Fabulous location right in the center of Bath, the loft is huge and furnished to a very high specification, with everything you could possibly need for a self catering stay, including a dishwasher, washing machine with powder for both supplied. It was a nice touch to find fresh milk in the fridge with ample tea & coffee, there is even salt, pepper and oil for cooking should you need it. There is a really comfortable lounge great if you fancy a night in. We went to the Theatre Royal which is literally around the corner and on a freezing cold February night we were delighted to be back in the lovely & warm apartment within 10 min, also a checkout of 11a.m. was appreciated. Great welcome by the receptionist who walked us round to the apartment and showed us where everything was, there are very steep steps up to the front door not a problem for us but some guests might need to consider that, otherwise l can’t recommend The Loft highly enough (although l would really like to keep it a secret for myself).

    Stephanie2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • The loft is a fabulous apartment in a central location. It has everything you need to make it home from home. The photos do not do it justice. Melissa is a great host with lots of information before you arrive and the team at Harrington’s were great too.

    Nicola2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The listing is very good, the house is clean and the location is good but it is a bit difficult to find, there are more stairs in the room and it may not be suitable for elderly children

  • Great place to stay on the outskirts of Bath. The 20 min walks to and fro helped us the burn off all the lovely food we’d eaten in the city centre. The apartment was well presented and had all the facilities you’d expect with easy check-in and out.

Lovely, bright, open plan studio with balcony in Bishopstrow, a small hamlet on the outskirts of Warminster. Large bedroom with Super-King size bed, modern shower & kitchen with an oak-framed floor-to-ceiling glass window looking out over the garden. 15 minute drive from Longleat and Cenre Parcs, just 20 minutes from Stonehenge and 30 minutes from Bath.
The bedroom has an extremely comfy super king-size bed, a 37" flat screen TV with FreeSat, free wifi, a desk if your work needs to follow you home and a sofa, perfect for reading the Sunday papers. We provide a Mothercare cot (bought November 2018) if anyone would like to bring their babe (0-12 months) with them! The Loft is not suitable for toddlers. The shower room, with under-floor heating, has a large power-shower, a loo and basin. The small kitchen is fully equipped to suit all requirements, allowing you to prepare any meals you may wish to. Breakfast is provided in the kitchen: there will be fresh bread for toast, butter, marmalade, jams, cereals, teas, coffee (and plunger), juice, milk and sugar etc, bacon and eggs. Please do let me know in advance if you are vegetarian and would like blueberries and yoghurt instead. The studio is a perfect, romantic getaway for a couple who need a break from stressful jobs or demanding children! The small balcony is a lovely spot for a relaxing drink at the end of a busy day. In nice weather, you are welcome to use the picnic table and benches in a quiet corner of our garden too.
There are many interesting places to visit less than an hour from Bishopstrow. The classically beautiful City of Bath, with Roman Baths, Abbey and great shopping is 19 miles to the north. Salisbury, with its famous Cathedral and John Constable views is 21 miles to the south. Longleat House, and the famous “Lions of Longleat”, are 4 miles away; an amazing day out for all ages! Salisbury Plain is right on the door step, as is the Wylye Valley, with great walks and pubs. Stonehenge, a World Heritage Site, is 12 miles away, over the Plain and its Visitor Centre, opened in 2014, has enhanced the visitor experience significantly. The Stourhead National Trust house and gardens are 15 minutes away.
  • Such a lovely place to stay in the country. Sally and her family seem lovely and very accomodating. Would definately recommend and hope to stay again soon. Thanks Sally! Xx

  • Looking for a rural idyllic oasis, then the Loft is the place to be at.

    Noella2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely space, Sally was really helpful. Peaceful spot too.

    Kathy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Went for a weekend away with my girlfriend, absolutely lovely place and very close to things like longleat! Would you 100% come back as the loft and the hosts are brilliant! 10/10 very pleased

    Brody2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderfully peaceful little hideaway tucked up in a lovely area just outside Warminster! The loft is warm, light, cosy, beautifully decorated with a comfy bed and really well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The view from the loft is of Sally's lovely big garden with fields beyond and Warminster centre is a pleasant 25 minute walk away. You will receive a warm welcome when you arrive and both Sally and Jules are very affable hosts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their fabulous loft.

    Melissa2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely weekend getaway for a couple. The Stable Loft offers a large studio room, comfortable bed (we're told soon to be replaced by a queensize), good bathroom and kitchen. The addition of a fridge stocked with eggs, bacon, milk and orange juice with cereals teas and coffees on the side means you can cook a leisurely breakfast anytime you want. Sally was a fantastic and friendly host who gave us a great welcome and send off. Location is brilliant, especially as we booked an evening at the Centre Parcs Spa which was only a 10 min drive away. Would definitely recommend!

    Nick2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Stable Loft is a really well-equipped, spacious and light apartment, very tastefully furnished and nice views from the huge windows. Sally met us on arrival, showed us round and was helpful throughout our stay. Very welcome supplies for breakfast too. You’d need a car, but there are great walks from the door too.

    Peter2019-12-08T00:00:00Z

Start your day where morning light fills the entire loft. Throw open the balcony doors, boot up the coffee machine then ease your way into the oversized shower cubical with luxurious rainforest shower head. By night, the cobalt blue walls mix perfectly with the warm glow of the Edison lightbulbs.
Original artwork, travel guides, seamless tech and delightful design touches with a little nod to our love of Japanese culture. Described by guests as “serene”, “peaceful”, “inspirational” and “stylish” the “River Loft” is the perfect space for a special weekend away or an ideal hideaway after a long day in the office. Situated in the heart of a converted Victorian paint factory, the space has lots of original features. We’ve also managed to source a few signature industrial pieces from the factory which sit perfectly alongside contemporary furnishings, a deep super comfy sofa and a delightful mattress.
The River Loft is one of a handful of residential apartments right in the middle of Paintworks, a dynamic and lively place to stay in whilst you are in Bristol. Situated alongside the River Avon, Paintworks has been labelled "the creative quarter" of Bristol, as it's home to a host of trendy film companies, digital agencies and design studios. There's also lots of small courtyards, green spaces and a few riverside benches - great to discover on a mooch around the site. There may even be an art show or food festival whilst your visiting in the popular event space. Paintworks also has a lovely restaurant/bar/cafe and a coffee trailer on site. They both do great good and coffee.
  • Happily stay there again.

  • Fantastic place - host was very accommodating.

    Aruna2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment and great communication! Check in was a breeze and Tina was so lovely! Such a stylish flat and a quick walk to the center! Highly recommend and will be back!

    Nicole2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic space with everything you’d need for a stay - pet friendly too! Paintworks is also a great location, with parking.

    Ololade2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is extremely stylish and very well located. Easy access to central Bristol. The Bocabar on-site is a really great option for food and drink. The apartment has everything you need for an amazing relaxing break. I thoroughly recommend staying here!

    Paul2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Love this place!!! By husband and 8yr old son also thrilled. Bocabar so close it would be rude not to. Thank you for being dog friendly too. Big recommendation from us.

    Sara2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for two weeks upon moving to Bristol for a new job. I wanted somewhere peaceful that I could relax in and it was a fantastic stay. It’s a beautifully decorated flat on the first floor of a converted industrial building in the Paintworks - a stylish area just a little way up Bath Rd from Temple Meads, so you can walk into town in about 15 minutes or take the bus. The Paintworks is quiet as it’s mostly creative companies, with a few residential buildings, too. There’s a nice bar /restaurant very close by which is good for food and drinks, but you won’t be disturbed by any noise as the flat is very quiet. There’s a parking space right outside the flat which you can use for free. Inside, it’s one large room with the bathroom tucked away behind a door and the bed up on a little raised mezzanine area. It’d be perfect for a single traveller or a couple. The hosts were very responsive and helpful anytime I had a question, and I felt anything I needed they’d attend to it quickly. Overall a lovely place and just what I needed to get my settled into Bristol during my first couple of weeks.

    Matt2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • We would definitely recommend the river loft. It is a stylish, unique and cosy stay which we enjoyed throughly. The loft is set with a view over the river which is particularly lovely if you get a sunny morning and the location is great if you wish to be away from the noise of the city centre and is still only a short taxi ride away. The loft was even better than we had expected and is great for a couple stay. The loft was extremely clean, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you would need and more. The service was also fantastic and we we’re greeted by Sean on arrival who was very friendly and helpful in showing us everything we needed to know. We will definitely be recommending this property to others and keeping it in mine for future visits. Thanks again.

    Unique city centre historic home.
Before being converted into an apartment, The Loft spent much of its former life as a photographic studio – and now the top floor is a large open plan sitting / dining room flooded with natural light from the glazed roof. It’s an inspiring space in the heart of the city looking out over the rooftops of Bath. Located within the city’s grandest shopping area, the apartment is spread over three floors of character and style. More info and booking is available on our website letsdobath
Bath centre is a World Heritage Site of stunning architecture, exceptional restaurants and shopping.
  • This was a fantastic property in a great location. Plenty of room for 10 of us, and we loved every minute of it. We’re hoping to go back next year

    Ashley2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to book, Daniel responded to any questions we had promptly. The Loft was also easy to find, no problem dropping off bags and then going to park the car/s. The loft is amazing, it’s like a tardis! We had plenty of space for our group of 9. Upon arrival we were blown away by the space and style. The loft was clean and welcoming. It’s central location is incredible and made the weekend. Local shops, food and drink on the doorstep. We would highly recommend The Loft for a stay in Bath and would book again in a heart beat!

  • Absolutely lovely & stylish space to stay. Set in the quaint location of Castle Cary. Would certainly return

    Bruce2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Planet House felt spacious, modern, stylish, and far more luxurious than we are used to! It had everything we needed for a short stay, but you could easily stay longer - we made full use of the kitchen and Louise was a saviour by leaving milk in the fridge for us. The bed was the comfiest we had on our road trip, and the bathroom had a great shower. When we had a question about parking, Louise answered quickly and really helpfully. We would absolutely stay at Planet House again whenever we were back in the area!

    Lucy2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully designed and furnished space, well equipped. A very comfortable bed, and very cosy too, we really enjoyed our stay and loved Castle Cary and the surrounding area, we hope to visit again!

    Julia2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location. Beautiful flat that was sparkling clean and slap bang in the middle of the little village of Castle Cary. We took our bikes and rode out the South Cadbury which was lovely too. Check in was seamless and Louise was really quick to respond. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

    Claudia2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The air bnb was light, clean and spacious and had great facilities. Would definitely recommend. The host was really understanding when there were some problems with booking, thank you!

    Carly2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very central location in Castle Cary above a hairdresser and next to an Indian restaurant. Beautiful, clean space on first floor with a mezzanine bedroom. Huge tv, a coffee machine and a well equipped kitchen area. There is some minor road noise so not for you if you are a very light sleeper. Bed and pillows are incredibly comfy. :) Free parking for 2 hours 20m away on the street or unlimited free parking in a car park a 2 minute walk away. Good communication with Louise.

    Anita2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We were wowed from the moment we walked in. It's as pictured, but even better in person! This might be the best AirBnB in Somerset! The space is wonderfully designed, spacious and is fully kitted out with every amenity you might need for a short or a longer stay. You can't beat the location either - it's a 30-second walk to the high street and there's a nice selection of eateries and shops. It's a great home base if you are looking to explore Somerset - lots of historical castles, sites and gardens are easy to get to from the Loft. Communication with Louise was excellent - fast and precise. Highly-recommended and would 100% stay here again in the future!

  • A very warm (Dec 2019), comfortable, very quiet, and bright space with eye-level skylights that provide lots of daylight and that swing open for ventillation. The food preparation area is compact but well equipped, likewise the bathroom. Wifi download speed is "Somerset rural" - typically less than 1Mbps but with occasional, unpredictable, bursts of 3-4. Highly reccommended; I really enjoyed being there!

  • Such a lovely, stylish place to stay with a homely feel. We loved the space and it was great for relaxing after driving all day on our road trip. It was in a wonderful location with plenty of local pubs near by for excellent meals. A prime spot to explore the Cotswolds from!

  • Lovely little suit in the heart of Bristol! Really easy to find and communication was great! Perfect and comfy stay

    Jasmine2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Can't fault the flat in terms of cleanliness and very easy to acess, great location. Only downsides were the shower, which was very temperamental in terms of hot water and the pictures make the flat look much bigger than it is. But overall a very pleasant and value for money short stay.

    Zak2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

This studio apartment provides a cosy retreat for two people, with a special rustic charm. It is set in the last bay of Owlpen’s grade one listed medieval barn, and massive oak cruck beams date it to 1446 making it one of the oldest surviving barns in the Cotswolds.
This historic building has been completely renovated in the same style as Owlpen's larger cottages. INTERIOR The open plan studio, light and spacious, has comfortable seating and a king-sized double bed, like a hotel suite. Key Features •Cosy retreat for two with rustic charm •Historic building with original features •Hotel suite style studio apartment •Dog friendly •Sleeps 2 Two steps lead up to the kitchenette and dining area with views towards the manor gardens and meadows. Adjacent is the bathroom, with sunken bath and handheld shower. The cottage is heated with high capacity electric storage heaters. Outside there is a large private terrace with a small wrought iron table to enjoy a morning cup of coffee in the sunshine. The cottage is situated in the heart of Owlpen's valley, over the Estate Office and Cyder House restaurant.
The Owlpen valley has long been recognised as one of the most romantic places in England and provides guests with an exclusive and relaxing hideaway, surrounded by private woods and hills and many miles of walks--from a gentle stroll round the estate trails to a 20 mile trek along the Cotswold Way. Village pub in Uley called The Old Crown, just a short walk across the fields serving local ales and cheerful food. Also a cafe called The Vestry, great for brunch! This is Laure Lee country, situated in the Royal Triangle in the heart of the Cotswolds hills. The historic cities of Bath, Cheltenham and Cirencester are all within an easy drive, as are the cultural and scenic attractions of Oxford, Blenheim and Stratford Upon Avon, which are popular day excursions. An ideal base for the Horse Trials at Badminton and Gatcombe Park and racing at Cheltenham. Newark Park (National Trust) and Woodchester Mansion are three miles away, as well as many historic houses, including Berkeley Castle, Chavenage House and Sudeley Castle. The choice of attractions and things to see and do is huge and you will want to return to see and explore it all. The Cotswolds are one of England's best known touring regions of picturesque hills, limestone villages and scenic attractions. The magical deep wooded valleys here form its most spectacular scenery. Extra details Golf, gliding, riding, antique shops, historic houses, castles and gardens nearby. But many visitors never leave the privacy of the Owlpen estate, with its miles of footpaths and 800-years of history.
  • We loved our stay in the Tythe Barn - a lovely rustic cottage with lots of character set in gorgeous grounds. We particularly enjoyed walks around the estate, straight from our door. We were able to pick up the WiFi network in our room, which was helpful as there really is no mobile signal.

    Natalia2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tythe Barn is the perfect place for full relaxation! A great, quirky loft accommodation to completely switch off in! Take some books, a jigsaw, and relax with a pot of tea! The location of Owlpen Estate means it is easy enough to venture on day trips out in the car - all within an hour / hour and half. We visited Bath, Stonehenge and Longleat! Definitely make sure you read the directions to the estate - they make the journey quick and easy to navigate! Tip - whilst both roads to the estate are signposted, definitely take the one by the village green if you want a quicker, smoother ride! The other lane is extremely narrow and windy! If you’re going to get there out of hours, don’t worry! The check in system is super straight forward!

  • A very special and one of place. Magnificent beauty and close to many amazing things to do.

    Ros2018-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Owlpen Manor is unforgettable. We enjoyed the entire experience. The grounds are breathtaking, Owlpen's history is intriguing, and the accommodations were varied and interesting. And on top of all of that, the staff were outstanding - they were communicative, friendly and wanted to do whatever they could do to make sure your trip is memorable. Owlpen is near many wonderful villages worth visiting too.

  • Such a beautiful quiet picturesque place, very unspoilt. Perfect for what we wanted, a great getaway from London. Peace and quiet, cosy evenings infront of log fire, lovely walks with dog, each reach of tetbury for shops and restaurants, or the crown is a stroll down the road. The cottage had all the amenities we needed.

    Philippa2017-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful, quiet, clean and lovely, everything we were hoping for.

  • Great place to stay

    Anna-Marie2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sally is a very thoughtful host. Her studio is spotless, has everything you need for a young family. We stayed couple of nights, while I am pregnant and our son is 2yrs. We felt like in a little cocoon. Sally and her partner Gus both provided us some valuable travelling tips well suited for our family and that made our stay at the door steps of the Cotswolds so much more easier and made our journey wonderfully peaceful.

    Shujana2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and my partner stayed here at Sally’s Studio and we absolutely loved it. The Studio was spotless and had all the essentials you would need. It was like going from home to home. Sally was fantastic and was there when we arrived to greet us with her 3 friendly dogs, she advised us on some great things to do and see whilst staying then let us settle in and enjoy our time away. Self check in is also available if she isn’t around which is easy. We met both Sally and her husband Gus and they are genuinely lovely people and we really appreciated their friendliness. The location is one of the most peaceful places I have been and the views are outstanding. Located in a small village and the local pub which is across the common was decent too. If you are going to chill out then this place is perfect. Whereas there is also plenty to see and do nearby. We will definitely be staying at The Studio again and can’t wait to go back there :)

Good amenities close by with local shops, takeaways and restaurants and a good local bus service into Bristol. A lovely area and not too far a walk across the Down's into Clifton. I think the highlight was the hot tub, which was utter luxury!

  • Caron’s place was great. We arrived and she had upgraded us to a bigger apartment which was wonderful. The apartment was lovely. Small but well equipped kitchen. Dining room with lovely view and a 4 poster bed in the bedroom which our 4 yr old loved. We opted for breakfast the next day but we had a new born and so struggled to get out of the apartment on time so Caron brought breakfast to us. So kind and thoughtful. Thanks Caron!

    Louise And Julian2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • I didn't stay here long enough to enjoy it as much as I would have liked. The only thing is I wish it was "fenced in" so that my dogs couldn't run into the main road, which one did. Overall, everything was lovely and Caron's hand-made map of the directions to town was sweet. A little fresh milk in the fridge would have been nice. Xx xx

    Kate2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Caron is a great host - not intrusive but there when needed. Sadly we didn't have time to try more of her hospitality. We especially loved the location of Fosse Farmhouse. It couldn't be more English.

    Andrew2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to stay and experience England. Caron made our stay amazing and couldn't have been a better host. The property is beautiful and is better than the pictures can show.

    Josh2015-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Caron was a fantastic host. She assisted us with finding a more appropriate cottage on her Farmhouse property (as the one we had selected and booked was not entirely appropriate for three adults and two toddlers!) She also provided us with a cot for my toddler and a high chair. She provided us with local tourist recommendations and a lovely dinner and breakfast during our weeks holiday. We had a fantastic week in the Cotswolds at the Fosse Farmhouse and I would highly recommend Caron's property. There are so many wonderful things to do in the local area that are both parent and kid friendly - it is a fantastic family destination and Caron made us feel so very welcome.

    Ange2015-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Caron was absolutely lovely. The loft was beautifully decorated -- we loved the Christmas lights -- and very cosy. Our group was shooting a music video and Caron not only provided lodging, but put us in touch with two extras, one of whom was a member of her staff, and came along to our wrap party afterwards. She was very knowledgeable about the area and its famous names. The area is gorgeous, I think a few of us may come back on a holiday and we'd definitely stay at Fosse Farmhouse again!

    Jennifer2015-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time in Caron's apartment. She's a warm and welcoming host (cooks a great breakfast!). The grounds are beautiful and perfect for a relaxing weekend. A great place in a stunning location. So easy to get to and surrounded by nothing but stunning countryside.

This apartment is brand new. It has its own entrance and the front door opens into a large open plan living room and kitchen with a large breakfast bar. There is a 55 inch smart tv and WiFi. Two double bedrooms are upstairs to sleep 4 people. The bathroom has a shower cubicle and separate bath. There is dedicated parking just outside the front door.
Tetbury is the home of HRH Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales. You will see the HighGrove shop located in the High Street which is full of items associated with the Highgrove estate. Tetbury was an important market town in the Cotswolds for wool and yarn in the Middle Ages but today it is better associated with boutique shops, antique shops and lovely coffee shops and pubs. The town is known as an ‘architectural gem’ because many of the wool merchants’ houses still look as they did years ago. St. Mary’s church has an impressive Spire that can be seen from all directions as you enter the town. The centre of Tetbury is a conservation area and many of the buildings have graded listing including the flat you will be staying in. Look up as you walk the streets and see the architecture and natural stone for which the Cotswolds are famous. There are many places of interest to visit nearby including Cirencester which is a large market town and also Cheltenham which is home to the Cheltenham race and jazz festivals. Slightly closer to Tetbury is the Westonbirt Arboretum and also Malmesbury home of the WOMAD festival. There are numerous lovely country pubs dotted around the area and also two fabulous spa venues such as Whatley Manor and Calcott Spa.
  • Very comfortable apartment, perfect for what we needed. John was responsive & helpful. Would definitely recommend this flat for someone looking for a comfortable base within walking distance of lots of amenities.

  • John’s place is better than I could have expected. Right in the centre of town with a very short walk to several supermarket options. The beds and sofas were very comfortable and having sky tv was a great extra touch. We cooked in the kitchen most nights which was fully stocked with utensils. Overall a wonderful stay and would recommend to all.

Cosy loft space nestling amongst trees. Within walking distance of medieval centre of Wells.
The Nest is a cosy studio loft which is adjoining but entirely separate from our family home. It nestles amongst the trees and overlooks the lovely garden. It is a newly decorated, stylish space with a king-size bed and sofa. There is a separate bathroom with a double shower, WC and wash hand basin. Guests have sole use of the entire space.
We live in a very peaceful residential area above the city of Wells. Behind us are fields and the outstanding area of natural beauty that is The Mendips. There are fantastic walks from our doorstep. For cyclists the Somerset levels are within 10 minutes ride. Wells is easily reachable on foot or by car. Glastonbury, Bath and Bristol are all enriching places to visit for a day and there are frequent buses from nearby.

  • We had just had a lovely weekend in BOA. The apartment is in a great location for both local sightseeing (and restaurants/pubs) and as a base for visits to Bath. The apartment was very comfortable and had all the necessities that you would need. Thank you Claire for providing us with the opportunity to have a fab weekend.

    Robert2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful apartment set right in the heart of Bradford on Avon with views of the river. The best pubs and restaurants are only minutes walk away. The apartment was spotless and had everything you could want, plus thoughtful extras like fresh coffee, orange juice and croissants. Check in was easy and we were given a tour of the apartment and made to feel at home. We used the apartment as a base to explore Bath and the Christmas market, using the bus to get there and the train back. Both really easy and quick.

I welcome guests to my flat my light, airy, cozy flat. I am often back and forward from Swansea and the main flat is on one level with my bedroom upstairs. It is a conversion of an old chapel very near to the harbourside in Bristol and Southville's Northstreet and Bedminster. The living room has french doors overlooking a small balcony, with a well equipped kitchen off that. The furniture is mostly vintage 60s and there are many houseplants. Teas and coffee incl.
This flat is on the third floor of a converted church dating to later 18th century. There are only 6 flats sharing the 2 flights of stairs. It is very conveniently situated close to the Harbourside, the city centre and Southville's North street.
My flat is approx 10 minutes walk from the Harbourside, M Shed, Arnol Fini, Watershed cinema and 7 minutes walk from the Tobacco factory and all the shops in North Street and Bedminster. There are lots of great cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants in the area. It also takes about half an hour to walk to the central shopping area of Bristol. Turning right onto north street down the road past Aldis you will also find a small brewery and an excellent baker - Marks.
  • Philippa's house is just absolutely lovely. The personal touches are beautiful and if you are a plant lover like me, you'll definitely love her place. It is located in a safe area and is quite close to the centre by foot. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone :) I couldn't have asked for a better stay here in Bristol. All the best, Isabelle

    Isabelle2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Philippa was a great host without even being there! She was quick to respond to my messages and checked in on me more than once. Her place is a 10 minute walk to Asda, about 20 into town and 30 to Cabot circus. I didn’t use the kitchen but it looked fully equipped and the room was warm and cosy. The only downside was that I didn’t get to meet her or her dog! X

    Fleur2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Philippa is a wonderfult host. She was very helpful and gave us lot of helpful tips during our short chat . The place itself was very clean and welcoming and had all the amenities needed for a short stay. Should the need arise, we will not hesistate to stay again at Philippa's place.

    Anupam Kumar2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying at Philippa's place. Philippa is very friendly and welcoming, the place is very clean and tidy, the bedroom is a nice size; has a comfy bed; lots of natural light and a good view, it's in a nice location close to the city centre; a large Asda superstore; Cabot circus and lot's of nice bars and restaurants, and it has all of the facilities you would expect such as an oven; microwave; a fridge and freezer; etc. I highly recommend staying at Philippa's if you are visiting Bristol.

    Adeleke2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Phillipa’s place was spotlessly clean, bright and airy. Bed was super comfortable. Decor was gorgeous without being unwelcoming. Lots of plant babies make the place super friendly feeling. Phillipa was a great host, very prompt at answering back and extremely welcoming

    Carol2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely, homely place to get back to every evening of my time in Bristol! Philippa is an excellent host - responsive, trusting and thoughtful. Her place is cosy and sparkling clean; and is bright and sunny in the mornings. It's only a short 10 minutes walk to the Harbourside with endless choices of nice cafes and restaurants. An absolute gem! Would love to stay there again when I next visit Bristol. Thanks Philippa for hosting me!

I’m an architectural designer who has completed our BS2 Loft Pods after 20 years of planning, preparation & finally construction. The ART PODS are designed to express my love of art but specifically graffiti art and they are individually dressed to pay homage and exhibit art created by well known local graffiti artists such as Nick Walker, Inkie, Cosmo, Cheba, Andy Council & many more. The PODS have been designed to minimise energy consumption through the use of PASSIVE technology. Enjoy.....
Each ART POD has a large open plan living, kitchen and dining space that will be also the main art exhibition space representing each artist. As a designer I’m always thinking of materials, colours and textures and have opted for an industrialised feel by using exposed ‘fire rated’ OSB wood finish throughout the whole of the unit. The kitchens are a a matt black finish with leathered granite worktops and black steel splash backs. All fittings are low energy where possible - cooker, induction hob, dishwasher and washer drier neatly concealed off the dining area. The living space benefits from a large PASSIVE standard glass wall that is 3.7m tall and 6.0m wide which has 2 triple glazed sliding doors out onto the balcony that overlooks the rooftops of St. Paul’s, Montpelier, Stokes Croft, Kingsdown ans central Bristol. It’s a hell of a view both day and especially night. The bathroom is accessed off the main living space and is a rather unusual wet room space with shower, washbasin and toilet. The walls are again OSB that has been finished with a clear waterproof resin so that the wood finish is still visible. The bedrooms are again rather unusual and are in effect on two levels. Both are identical apart from furniture and art. The lower area is basically your wardrobe and study space with a ship ladder that provides access to the upper mezzanine level where there is a double bed that benefits from dual aspects. One is via a very thick fire rated glass window that looks across the living space below and through the living room glass wall. The other view looks out across St. Paul’s. There are some quirky elements though.... the ceiling is low and is only 1.4m high and the space over the lower room is infilled with a feature trampoline net that provides a safety net in principle but also provides a fun hammock to lounge on and chill....
Based right next to the City Centre, St.Paul's & Montpelier are one of the most diverse cultural areas in Bristol. It is a vivid local art scene where you will find various pieces by local street artists including world famous BANKSY. Stokes Croft also recently known as Entrepreneurs mile hosts an array of local Food, clothing and Art. There are many live music nights and no two nights are the same. Bristol Harbour, Bristol Zoo, The History Museum, Bristol Cathedral are just a few of the attractions within easy reach of this flat. Cabot Circus, Bristol's newest shopping Quarter is literally 3 mins walk, so you wont have to carry you bags full of shopping very far!! Full of all major high street brands Cabot Circus also has its fair share of designer shops including Hugo Boss & Harvey Nichols. We welcome long term guests and our property is also Family friendly. If you have any special requirements please let us know, we will try our best to accommodate.
  • Such a great space, unreal view of Bristol from the balcony. The design and layout of the loft was gorgeous. In prefect walking distance to anything Bristol has to offer, but when in the loft you feel like you’re in your own private space. Definitely recommend to anyone staying in Bristol, thanks guys.

    Charlotte2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing!!! Seriously the coolest Apartment ever stayed in! In totally convenient central urban location. The space is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. The vibe inside completely transports you to another time in another world. So chilled out and relaxing. And so cool and different! Was an anniversary trip away, so we wanted something special and memorable. WOW!!! This place really hit the mark! A true design and art inspiration in a retro modern classic alternative penthouse apartment living space. Spectacular views in all directions, in the heart of bristols urban city. About 3min walk to Cabot Circus shopping in 1 direction. Or 5min walk to the cool bars, restaurants & cafes of Stokes Croft in the other direction. Great hosts and an incredible apartment that needs to be experienced to be appreciated. The photos can never do it justice. MUST STAY. We will definitely be coming back here. If you’re an art lover, Take some time while your walking around to take in all the incredible local graffiti. It’s a real hotbed of incredible talent painted all around. Don’t miss the big ‘Banksy’ outside the Canteen in Stokes Croft. ;0)

    Will2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is THE best place to stay in Bristol! It really captures the vibe of the city and has the best views! The apartment is a lot bigger than we expected, everything is spotless and perfect for 4 people! If you are interested in the Bristol Art Scene or even just intrigued in Banksy, this apartment will really be an eye opener as it’s full of art work!! Paul and his team are fantastic hosts and helped us massively with what to do in Bristol. This is the best Airbnb apartment in Bristol & NOT just a tribute!!!

  • We had a wonderful stay in Barbie’s beautiful loft space. The stunning house is set in a peaceful location among fields and has an immediately warm, homely feel. The loft is warm as comfortable with a lovely blend of old and new furniture and fitted with excellent amenities and lovely touches such as books to read, DVDs to watch and drinks to drink! We were three guests and took the double room as well as the triple to give us a little more space - and enjoy the lovely bath! Barbie was a wonderful host who went out of her way to ensure that we had a restful stay with everything we needed, recommending walks and offering us fireside drinks. We slept beautifully and felt very much at home. Many thanks Barbie! We hope (we are sure!) you will have many more happy guests! X

My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. The loft house Studio is on the southern slopes of Bath, in an area of outstanding natural beauty with many walks and fine pubs. It is a few minutes’ walk from Wansdyke and the ancient village of Southstoke, Limpley Stoke Valley. Both university campuses are close by. Enjoy views of Horsecombe Vale in the Midford Valley, and out towards Midford Castle.
A charming and beautifully presented detached Loft Studio lodge with garden set on the edge of the grounds of Midford Castle near to Bath. Extremely attractive property set in a beautiful location and surrounded by open countryside and woods with views over the Midford Valley and Horsecombe Vale. It is situated on the edge of the grounds of Midford Castle which is approximately ¼ mile away down a private drive. The accommodation is beautifully presented and stylish and enjoys amazing views .
Location The village of Midford is situated about three miles South of Bath and is within easy striking distance of the City Centre. Onwards - the City of Bristol is some 9 miles to the West with access via the Junction 18 of the M4 motorway. Other nearby towns include Warminster, Frome, Trowbridge and Chippenham - all with a wide range of amenities. The village itself boasts a good pub - The Hope and Anchor, renowned for its excellent food, and a regular bus service runs into Bath City Centre. Bath Spa station offers high speed links to London Paddington (90 minutes approximately), the West Country and Bristol Temple Meads. Bristol International Airport is only some 23miles/40mins distant. There are some lovely countryside walks in the area along an old railway track and along the river to the village of Combe Hay (also with an excellent Pub). Bath also provides an excellent range of private and state education schools with nearby private schools to include Monkton Combe, King Edwards & Prior Park with state schools - Ralph Allen and Beechen Cliff
  • Excellent, friendly and thoughtful host! Keith was super welcoming and very helpful providing us with tips about the local area (pubs!) and making sure we were all ok!

    Yalini2018-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Keith was an excellent host; giving lots of tips for local eateries and walks into Bath (the tunnel walk a must if you’re legs can take it!) the studio is lovely; you can’t get a better view in my opinion. Thanks Keith

  • Delightful Castle Lodge, splendid retreat 10mns from Bath and 30 mns from Bruton Hausser and Wirth Gallery.

    Catherine2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a perfectly delightful stay at Keith's beautiful property. We received a warm welcome from Keith, who gladly showed us around, made us familiar with the area and local amenities, and provided handy hints and tips for exploring Midford and the surrounding areas. Just a short drive to Bath, or to the Park and Ride (much cheaper than parking in Bath!) where there is a reliable service into the City Centre without the hassle and cost. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and provided the most amazing views. We were touched to find that Keith had kindly provided us with milk and pastries for our following morning's breakfast. We would love a return visit at some point in the near future. As Keith said, you could spend ten years there and still not see everything the area has to offer. Many thanks, Keith.

  • What a wonderful experience. My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to stay at Keith's lovely place for a night in August 2016. Keith is a lovely man (sorry I got your name wrong!) who made us feel very welcome. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very private. Keith was even kind enough to provide croissants, breads, jams, milk and muesli for breakfast, which we took full advantage of. We had our breakfast sitting out on the balcony, looking over the beautiful Midford valley. It's not an experience either of us will forget, and we'd go back any day. Thank you Keith, for providing us with a wonderful time. I hope everything goes well with you in the future. Best wishes, Ed

  • This is a great place to stay to see Bath and surrounds. Only a short drive to Bath and this place also gives you a chance to see some of the local rural area. Well located for some local walks, is close to the tunnels track and some lovely country pubs within walking distance. Keith is a great host and can provide loads of advice on where to go locally. Recommend taking the walk along the river passing near the property and eventuating at the tunnels track and to the local pub, where you may even bump into your host! The flat is lovely too. Comfortable and quaint and great views to wake up to. Doesn't have cooking facilities, but that's were the local pubs come in handy!

Wake up after an amazing night’s sleep and gaze out across the multi-coloured rooftops from one of the city’s most iconic buildings. The airy, open-concept 1,500-square-foot interior boasts exposed brick walls and original warehouse features, plus works by the city’s leading street artists. Boot up the coffee machine, sit back in the huge corner sofa and and browse the design, art books and city guides before heading out to explore all that Bristol has to offer. This is without a shadow of a doubt the perfect base to share with family and friends.
The loft is the largest living space in this striking, recently converted Victoria factory. Three windows look out over Cliftonwood, Avon Gorge and the wonderful Clifton Suspension Bridge. The loft is set across two floors (duplex style) with a very spacious living area on the lower floor, 3 double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms upstairs. The space is furnished with high end BoConcept furniture, beautiful bed frames, the most dreamy and comfortable mattresses we could find and the finest luxury linens.
Southville was voted one of the UK’s best neighbourhoods to live in by the Sunday Times newspaper. Cross the road to catch a show and shop at the Sunday market in the award-winning Tobacco Factory Theatre, also visiting its restaurant and bar.
  • This is a super-stylish apartment with amazing finishing touches as well as the basics! Clean, tidy, beautifully decorated, everything you need from toiletries to milk, tea, coffee etc. Gorgeous & plentiful bathrooms, comfy beds. Great location walking distance to the waterfront & city. Totally recommend.

  • A beautiful apartment perfect for a weekend getaway. We felt completely at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Great location to get a quick cab ride into town and a supermarket across the road is very handy. Definitely a “home away from home”.

  • We had the BEST stay in this apartment, the place is beautifully decorated and so spacious. We had everything we needed and the beds were heavenly! The living area is second to none and the perfect spot for a cosy movie night ! The location is great, Aldi right opposite and lots of shops along the high street. Wonderful market (food and gifts etc) on a Sunday morning right opposite the building. Couldn’t recommend this place enough and thanks to Sean for being super helpful! We’ll definitely be back!!

  • This place is just WOW! I only spent one night there but I couldn’t get over the decor and the style of the place. It’s definitely what I’d like to base my future flat on! The art was stunning to look at and I was in awe of the place. I only wished I’d spent more time in the place. Mike and Phil were extremely accommodating and very easy to reach. They should be very proud of this place!

A private and charming simple one bedroom flat over garage set in very rural area surrounded by farm land. The place is completely separate from the house set at the back of the property in a large garden. It has a modern kitchen and bathroom with everything needed for a comfortable stay. A perfect setting for country walks and exploring the mysteries of Wiltshire - Salisbury plains next door: Stonehenge, Salisbury and Avebury a short drive away or journey in local buses
Quiet, clean, private and beside natural beauty of Wiltshire It is a charming space, with a well equiped kitchen for some basic cooking, a huge corner bath and shower... there is a TV with all the basic channels, and free wifi There is a double bed and basic sofa bed, that can be made up into a bed - not the most comfortable however. If this is required I will need to charge an extra £10 for cleaning etc - to pay on arrival. At the moment the kitchen is empty of food or condiments so you need to provide all you will need for your stay.
Very friendly, with a great coop; butchers, pharmacy and post office. Also able to find fresh eggs and home grown veg - a fun place to be Very close to characterful Market Town, Devizes with it’s famous canal walks and Locks and neighbouring beautiful old villages eg Urchfont with its famous scarecrow festival and many typical old English village pubs, walks, woods etc Magical Avebury, Silbury Hill, West Kennet and The Ridgeway are all near by; there’s the National Trust Lacock Village with the Abbey (location for Harry Potter) and fantastic cream teas; the famous Wiltshire Whitehorses and seasonal crop circles to see; and Salisbury plains and the beautiful city of Salisbury not too far.
  • Had another wonderful stay. The bath is so amazing!

  • Lovely flat above a garage. Separate from the house, very clean. Large corner bath which you really wouldn’t expect from a little flat. Very good value! Thanks again 👍🏼😁

  • The 'Cosy flat' is a lovely little retreat in rural Wiltshire for anyone who wants to 'switch off' for a few days. It is also a great base for day trips to Bath, Stonehenge, Longleat Safari Park, Frome and even the coast. Lots of beautiful villages with cafes and pubs as well as hikes in the countryside nearby.

A converted loft space with a newly fitted shower and toilet room. Its a light and airy space with a futon style bed with a comfortable real mattress and a desk. The access is through the house but once you are in the space its very private and quiet. The en suite shower, toilet and basin have very recently been installed. There is a door to the en suite if privacy is needed. To the front of the location is a park to with fantastic views across south Bristol and the countryside beyond.
I should mention that the en-suite area might cause some people access difficulties. Its easily accessible for me and I am 6ft or 183cm but for very tall people or very wide people there might be a problem. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Within 100 meters there is a main road with frequent buses running to the city centre and train station, taking only 5 minutes. Also there are some great reasonably priced cafes and restaurants only 5 minutes walk away.
  • We had a brilliant 3-day stay in Bristol. The location is easily accessible with public transport (and within walking distance) and the place is stylish and sparking clean. Would recommend!

  • Simon was very helpful and let us drop off our luggage! Had a very lovely 4 day trip in Bristol. The loft is a very stylish and light space, it isn’t very big but had everything we needed and a nice and clean shower. Felt very welcome and the house looks out at a beautiful park. Town was very reachable, busstop and small supermarket around the corner. Would love to visit again.
