The host Ayten Hanim and Mr. Ercan very friendly and benevolent people. The house has high ceilings, spacious and very clean. a large balcony with a wonderful forest views are also available. Kivanc's flat is fabulous ...clean, comfortable and spacious. It has all utilities that you need on holiday, washing machine, dishwasher, barbecue and loads of kitchen utensils. Its a very practical user friendly flat.The garden is beautiful and it has a large terrace with a sea view. We spent many evenings eating dinner outside in ideallic surroundings. Kivanc was really helpful and kind, replied immediately and gave lots of useful info about the island and flat. Nothing was too much trouble. His family in the apartment block were so kind and lovely, recommending places to go and giving lots of good advice. There is a fantastic beach Aya Nikola within walking distance and a shop very close by. Lots to do, rent bikes, use the horse and carriages,walk to the church and old orphanage on the hill, beach and there is a great restaurant, Lunapark restaurant, close by which is cheap, sea view and worth a visit. The Island centre is about 15 minutes walk, its a beautiful walk and there are many island walks, the scenery is breathtaking. Ideal for all ages and pet friendly and the islanders are so hospitable and friendly. I will definitely be bringing the family again, one of the best holidays i have ever had, due to the flat and it's location. I would strongly recommend the flat for anyone, its absolutely perfect.

Lovely flat in a great location. The garden is beautiful, the terrace really nice and the flat extremely comfortably. It is an airy space and even on a hot summer day the rooms stay comfortably coolish. Lots of space to relax, socialize and work (if you must, like I had to). Two beaches in walking distance plus a cute hotel terrace to enjoy a cold beer at next door. Kivanc was super nice and helpful. He even told me where to direct the horse carriage driver and how much I was supposed to pay for the ride. Really helpful. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Esin's apartment for 5 nights in July 2015 with my husband & baby; later my mother also joined us. The apartment is cozy and well equipped, the views stunning, and the cats chill. There were however a few buzz killers for us: poor communication; cleanliness; and mosquitoes. Communication issues: We arrived around 10 pm, so Esin left the keys in a secret place. But there was no way to figure out which was her apartment; thankfully neighbors eventually helped us find it. When we got in, exhausted after a long trip, we would have greatly appreciated a note on the peculiar mechanics of the apartment, i.e. on how to keep the windows open, how to work the door stoppers, how to open the stuck bedroom doors and where to find extra sheets. There was no note with the wifi password and our roaming had not kicked in, so we could not contact Esin. The bedroom doors were not opening; after fighting them for a while we assumed the smaller bedroom was locked, because its door stayed stuck. Since the main bedroom's bed was not baby-safe, my child and I slept on the couches in the living room, with my legs dangling over the edge of the couch, together with the 2 cats, which woke us up every hour. We tried to ask Esin about the locked bedroom, but she thought we had eventually opened the door; so the misunderstanding lasted till our fourth day there, when Esin gave us permission to force the door. So for the majority of our time there, we basically had access to just the living room and a bedroom, despite paying for the 2 bedroom apartment. This led to problems for Esin too, as we asked her to remove the cats if we were to sleep in the living room. She seemed upset initially but then came to take them away after our second night there. Cleanliness: We had to unclog the bathtub and clean the floors by ourselves upon arrival. The baby was super dirty after a few seconds of crawling on the floor. On the other hand, Esin offered to put back herself the furniture we moved around. Mosquitoes: We inquired about mosquitoes before booking the place, and Esin assured us they were not a big problem on the island. But there were tons of them and our son was covered in bites from head to toe. To add insult to injury, just as we were checking into our flight, a Pegasus airlines manager came and said the baby cannot fly with those bites and we have to stay in Istanbul until they go away. After an hour of insane haggling, we managed to make our flight, but the bites got worse and worse and we ended up calling an emergency doctor when we got home. Overall, the apartment is lovely, but it was hard to feel welcome.

Everything was perfect! Esin is amazing host and though we weren't able to meet personaly, she was always in touch before and during our stay. Flat is wonderful. Very spacious and beautifully decorated, with anything needed for a comfortable living. Views from windows are just stunning! Flat is located in a walking distance to a ferry station with couple of shops, a lot of restaraunts and anything else that Buyukada has to offer. Esin`s flat is in one of those splendid 19th century builings overlooking the sea. We spent most of the time in our bedroom sitting on the old brass bed and enjoying the spectacular views out of the three windows. Everything in the flat was clean and tidy. As we do like furniture with slightly shabby look we felt just at home. Some people might not like the cat-worn armchairs though. For us everything together made up for an unforgettable stay in Esin`s flat. Unfortunately we could not meet the host this time, but maybe the next.

Esin's flat was a wonderful retreat. It is hard to say whether the views or the breeze were the best part -- both together. Windows and doors to the balcony everywhere made it very pleasant in every room. It was quite private from other flats in the building, nestled among beautiful vegetation and the perfect distance from the small commercial area. It was close enough to walk but far enough to hear very little noise (granted we were not here during a weekend). The hike to the beginning of the woods was very nice and challenging (old bones) and could have been extended as much as desired. The produce in town was excellent and we very much enjoyed terese and manuk. We would definitely come back if we are able to be in the area. Esin was great to communicate with.

My sister and I had a lovely stay at Esin's place. The view from the balcony was stunning! Her apartment is old and charming, with lots of books, and two cats. We didn't meet Esin in person, but she was very helpful with everything.

This comfortable and spacious flat has spectacular views which make it a pleasant place to be in any weather (we were there in November). It's a fascinating experience spending time on this island which seems to exist at some imaginary intersection of the 19th and 21st centuries. The wifi worked as well as the porters and the horse-drawn carts and the pharmacies were well equipped to deal with the cold and cough I arrived with. The walking and hiking possibilities are plentiful and a week was not enough to satisfy our curiosity about the island, but the ferry schedule, even off-season, would allow you to go to the mainland for entertainment or shopping or even explore some of the other islands if you wished. And our hosts could not have been kinder or more helpful, and were readily available to answer our questions when they arose. My only regret is that we didn't get a chance to meet their cats because we'd brought our own.

The house has a stunning outdoor patio with a bbq grill, full outdoor kitchen (oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, etc.) lounge area and view of the Marmara Sea and Istanbul's skyline. The location is perfect: walking distance to the island's ferry terminals and town but far enough away to be quiet and feel private and somewhat secluded. Nur is a fantastic host who was accessible to us as we made preparations and through our trip. Highly recommended.

Very beautiful house. Bed, bath and kitchen is very useful and convenient. Terrace large and incredibly pleasant. Both name the turmoil away from the center as well. You can eat dinner in very beautiful against the landscape. Nur landlord lady also gave us the help everything. Certainly after the island we prefer the sulfur is the place.

I can't imagine a better experience. The property is stunning. It's the garden floor of a three-story building that, because it's set on a hill, has beautiful views of the water from all the front windows as well as the expansive patio. The interior is comfortable and well-appointed. The patio is perfect, with two dining tables, tasteful lighting, a great sound system, and an ivy cover for shade. Nuh and her husband also installed a large kitchen out there, which was amazing — you can cook out in the fresh air. We ended up spending most of our days and nights cooking, eating and relaxing outside. Büyükada can seem touristy and crowded at times, but it's a big island, true to its name, and the location just up a hill from the main road puts you well away from the crowds. The neighborhood is a 20-minute walk from the center but feels a world away and has a small-town, island feel. Nuh and her husband, Özçelik, were incredible hosts. Özçelik picked us up from the ferry on his scooter and took our bags and groceries up to the house. He did the same on the way back, and even paid for my ferry ticket when my metro card was short on cash. They speak Turkish and English and were on hand by text and phone for anything we needed. It's a home that has been in the family for years, and Özçelik's brother lives on the floors above. He was extremely courteous in checking on us throughout our stay, and because of the way the house is set up, the property was always quiet and felt like we had it completely to ourselves. My family stayed at Nur's flat for two weeks, and I joined them during one of those weeks. We were given all the necessary directions to the flat, and we received a warm welcome upon arrival. Nur was always available either in person or on phone, and was helpful in providing with information and advice on what to do and where to go on the island. The flat itself was comfortable. We especially enjoyed the big balcony with its amazing view. We spent many evenings sitting there and enjoying the serene atmosphere. Our stay at Nur's flat was a great experience and we would recommend it to others.

Ivy house is very pleasant, comfortable, convenient and clean house. We have 4 very cozy and comfortable. We came, we walk to the pier square house has a very nice view of the lush garden. The yard has a nice big open kitchen. We made our breakfast under the vine-clad pergola was very nice. Nur friendly and a good host. We love places that suggest to us. When we do, we will definitely plan on staying a Büyükada go home again hanging.

The apartment is a perfect getaway from the bustle of central Istanbul, and also from the crowded centre of Büyükada. Nusret and his family were very hospitable and gracious. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, and the apartment is equipped with everything you might need.

The apartment was very clean. Up a steep hill with some steps. Pool very nice. It is a professional holiday accommodation though and we did not know this when booking. When I later checked prices on (URL HIDDEN) I realised we had been ripped off on airbnb paying more than double the price! I recommend contacting buyukuda apartment directly or through (URL HIDDEN)

A beautiful place just like described. Calm and peaceful, absoultely stunning experience. A very nice and understanding host with full emphaty.

Great place for holidays ! The flat is really beautiful and well decorated, in a wonderful garden. From the balcony we can see the sea, and go to the beach just by crossing the garden! A great place to rest and feel good in the nature. The room is cosy with a big and comfy bed, the living room is cosy, but the best place to be remains the balcony! Although we did not see Lesli, she prepared our stay with a map of the island and some good places to visit, And a women waited for us to give us the key with some recomandations. If you want to visit the Island I strongly recomand this place. Also the best is to rent bikes and to go in the wood side of the Island, where the landscape are marvellous. And as the garden is private, you can keep the bikes for your whole stay at Lesli's home.

The apartment is very nice, with enough of room and a spacious terrace where we had breakfast while looking out on the sea. Everything was clean and well functioning and Leslie was very helpful and gave us good advice as to what to do on the island. The public beach was closed when we were there in October, but we rented bikes and went to a beach at the other side of the island.

We spent 4 days at the property by April 2015. Dilara has helped us upon arrival and repeatedly asked if we need anything. When we arrived she was expecting us and they had to get away made sure that we were escorted to the apartment. The road to the apartment was quite long. Walk about 30 minutes, during the day you could also hire a coach. The apartment is very well equipped and cozy. In good weather you can stay in the garden. We were greeted with pastries and small treats. Sugar salt oil and vinegar were present, which need not always be so, but you can ask Dilara. She speaks excellent German, English and Italian and is easy to reach by telephone. The island is very beautiful and pretty quiet in spring, since for mainly day trippers come to the island. In summer it should be, however, very busy. The apartment is also recommended for less warm days, as they heat up well and is warm. Take the ferry to get in about 85 minutes very reasonably priced (about 2-3 euros) to Istanbul and back. For people who love peace, this apartment is perfect.

Dilara very hospitable, kind and considerate. Everything we prepared very beautiful before. Coke was fun, especially the garden is perfect.

Dilara is a truly wonderful host. Very organised and courteous. Of course, her house and it's location are absolutely wonderful. Her friends were there to pick us up at the jetty and were greeted with fresh lemons and a smiling face. She even helped figure out the very complicated ferry time tables and it all went very smoothly. A wonderful experience.

Only go if they post pictures of all the rooms and kitchen so you know exactly what you're getting. They have only one double bed there and the person living there usually sleeps in it, so it may not be available, meaning you must each sleep in single beds. They weren't there to open the flat as the agreed time, so we had to wait 3 hours, and when we did come they still weren't finished cleaning it, and had not prepared enough beds for our group.

We stayed at Ferdan's centrally located House . Everything was as Ferdan had arranged and we enjoyed our stay. We recommend this place to those looking for a central and cosy flat in Buyukada:)

We stayed at Ferdan's home for 3 nights and it was perfect for us! Ferdan's cozy flat, exactly as advertised, is perfectly located. The beds are good size and very comfortable. The apartment is exactly as described and VERY clean. The neighborhood is perfect; great restaurants, shopping, people watching and easy access to most anywhere in the island. Ferdan is a wonderful host. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We had very nice relaxing 4 days on the island in Ferdans apartment. He was a very good host: although he was during our booking in another city, he was super accessible and answered all questions very quickly and we had a very nice contact. He sent specially someone to pick us up from the ferry (it is really very close to the ferry) and we unlocked the apartment and briefly led through them. There are numerous towels to use and also soap and shower stuff were there. It is a large apartment with a "Master Bedroom" (double bed and private bathroom) and this room off a couch and a small room with a bed; additionally a bathroom. For three people I find the apartment perfectly. The apartment is in the imaged house, but in the basement located (from the very nice house you do not get there with as much, but the terrace is very nice). It smelled in the apartment quite damp-musty, which is probably due to the location in the basement. It was not the cleanest apartment of my life (Kitchen / fridge could use use a thorough cleaning again, in the bathroom lying on the ground a few hairs), but we did not that bad and we felt after half an hour in the apartment like home , Feridan then has also given us via (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) a few excursions for the island. So all in all very recommendable!

The house is very close to the pier. Fera about the gentleman, and the gentleman was quite a man. recommendations on the candidates was enlivened our holiday. I would not recommend to stay in the winter alone. The house is quite cold. Also not getting enough light. Generally, if you spend time outdoors, a focused plan to visit the island holidays can be a good choice to stay is in question.

Apartment with good location and well equipped kitchen. Not so comfy furniture though, especially the bed isn't comfortable at all, both bathroom needs serious reconstruction. The heating and hot water not proper for winter months, I believe this place has to be off the market between November and March with the existing heating quality. We left the apartment with a flu after only 1 night stay. The host is well organized fast, practical and hassle-free reservation, check-in and check-out.

Homey apartment. My friend and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The furnishings of the home are clearly several decades old, but everything worked and was in good condition. Know that the apartment gets cold (we stayed during March), but there is a small space heater in the master bedroom only. Ferdan's assistant met us as the ferry and was very kind. Ferdan was also very helpful and could be reached via phone. Would recommend.

We had a nice time at Ferdans place. There's plenty of space, a nice outdoor seating area and it's in a great location. We didn't get to meet Ferdan but he was very helpful and always at hand to arrange everything

I completely recommend this apartment on the 2nd floor of a beautiful house. Very quiet street, as everywhere on the island. Very friendly and accomodating family. That happiness

A very nice place, the location and the house is very useful. No, but the money is going where taken for cleaning have no idea, because like home though for months uncleared dirty and dusty, one of our friends who are allergic to dust just was hospitalized two days we spent in the last Day holiday and is exposed to excessive dust should use 2-3 weeks medication he said. Location location or unclean matter how good use as I do not think this place once more accommodations.
