Hi I’m Melanie, an interior decorator and designer and veteran of several large renovation projects, including this property. We named this property Maison de Violette in honor of my late grandmother Violet, whose sense of style and adventure was an inspiration to me. I lived in the SF Bay Area for many years, where I met my husband and had our three children. We moved to New Orleans less than a year before Hurricane Katrina, which made for quite the interesting reintroduction to this city after two decades away. We are passionate about travel, art, food and style and love to know a bit about our guests, especially what has drawn them to New Orleans!
