Our suite offers our guests comfort, beautiful views on the ocean, and proximity to all of the signature beaches along the straight of Juan de Fuca. Second Creek Farm and Guesthouse is access to true wilderness just over one hour from BC's capital.

The space

Fantastic 800 square feet ocean view apartment overlooking the Straight of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains. Perfect gateway for family, friends and couples looking to enjoy the beautiful and wild rugged west coast of Vancouver Island, BC.

1 large living and kitchen area sleeping 3 people comfortably in Double bed and twin size bed, in addition to 1 large bedroom with 1 queen size and twin size. A total of 6 people can be comfortably accommodated.

Our property overlooks the Straight of Juan de Fuca. The area is known for its wild and secluded beaches, and its 47 kilometres of trails in the Juan de Fuca Provincial Park only 1.1 km away from our vacation rental.

Guests can also access beach front at Jordan River townsite and explore the newly created regional park area encompassing the Jordan River Point.

Jordan River is home to one restaurant: Déjà Vu on the breakers, and guests can also treat themselves to a gourmet meal at the Point no Point Resort Restaurant, or visit our neighbouring community of Shirley's café: Shirley Delicious!

We advise our guests to stock up on groceries in Sooke, the nearest town, before they arrive at our vacation rental as there are no grocery stores in Jordan River. Sooke is also the location of the nearest access to public transit going to Victoria.

Our comfortable and spacious apartment will provide guests with the perfect spot to explore or stay in and relax with an ocean view!

Guest access

Guests can access the suite, patio and gardens.

Interaction with guests

We generally stop by to say hello to arriving guests, but have a policy of leaving guests their privacy and a chance to enjoy their experience on their own.

Other things to note

There is no cell phone coverage in our area and we do not have highway signage, thus we request that all guests have our street number address as well as the directions handy and accessible without cell phone as they make their way to our paradise. The nearest grocery store is also located in Sooke, 30 minutes away, and we therefore suggest that guests plan their shopping along the way to save on driving back to Sooke once you've reached your lovely destination.

Our host was very friendly! It was a gorgeous piece of property with a stunning view of the ocean and forest. We were lucky to have all sunny clear days while we were at Jordan river. We stayed for two nights and spent our last day of 2015 relaxing, eating and sipping wine to ring in the new year. It's a comfortable suite with all the basics. It's close to surf, hikes and beaches. They made sure to remind us to stock up on groceries and supplies in Sooke as it is a bit of a drive from any town. I'd recommend this place for anyone who wants to relax, be close to surf, hikes and beaches. Port Renfrew is close to enjoy too. We will be back!

We had a lovely weekend staying at Pascale and Chris' home. They were excellent hosts! Found it easy to find their place. Fabulous view. Beautiful and wild location. Accommodation was perfect with everything we needed including many many movies to watch. We highly recommend.

Pascale's farmhouse was an incredible stop after a multi-day kayaking trip on Vancouver Island. Would definitely stop by again!

Second Creek Farm and Guesthouse was exactly what my family and I were hoping for. We had spent a few days in Victoria but wanted to head out to the coast and do some hiking. Pascale and her husband Chris were excellent hosts and really went above and beyond to make our stay great. Chris showed us a nice local entrance to the Juan de Fuca Trail and took our car to our end point so we wouldn't have to walk out and back. The unit is well stocked and has plenty of room for everyone to relax after a day of hiking. If you want to relax on the coast with great views of the Olympics, then I would highly recommend staying with Pascale.

Originally from Quebec, I moved to British Columbia in 2000. Making my way to Nelson, Vancouver and finally Vancouver Island, I met my husband Chris when I first moved to Victoria in 2006. Both outdoors enthusiasts and overall lovers of nature and of the self-sufficient life-style, we bought property in paradise - Jordan River that is - in 2007 and started building our dream home in 2009. Since completing the construction of our home in 2010, we have been renting our suite to long term and then short term renters to share our piece of land and provide cool information about our incredible region.
In the daytime, I'm a project manager and my area of focus is farm and craft enterprises.
My son, Julian Werner, was born in January 2014 and he too is now hooked on our rural lifestyle, eating from the gardens, and the berry bushes found throughout our property!
We look forward to sharing our property and knowledge with you!
