Bugs!
Costa Rica is renowned for its rich biodiversity. Even though Tamarindo is a populated area, it still hosts a variety of wildlife, both large and small. Besides the commonly seen monkeys and iguanas, you might also encounter mosquitoes, ants, and other insects. To minimize these interactions, we suggest the following:
Apply bug spray regularly to protect yourself from mosquitoes.
Keep your screen door closed to prevent insects from entering your unit.
Store food waste in the fridge overnight or promptly dispose of it in the larger public bins on the property.
Avoid leaving closed shoes outside your door.
If insects do get into your room, please let us know. While we prefer to avoid intervening with chemical sprays, we are happy to provide some if needed.
Power Outages
During the rainy season, power interruptions and outages can occur. If you experience one during your stay, please be assured that we are in regular contact with the power company and monitoring the situation closely. The property is equipped with emergency lights to help you navigate in the dark.
However, you may experience temporary disruptions in water supply and internet service. To access the main entrance, please use the spare Front Door key attached to your key ring. If you need any assistance, feel free to reach out. We appreciate your patience in this unlikely bus possible situation
