Hi Sandipan, what do you mean the neighborhood "isn't the greatest"? Do you mean locationally? Yes, we're not right in downtown Chicago, but we are only 15 minutes away from downtown, the McCormick Place convention center, the Illinois Medical District, and other ethnic enclaves like Chinatown. Do you mean in terms in neighborhood amenities? Our flat is walking distance to some of the trendiest bars and best Mexican restaurants in the city; we're also around the corner from the Museum of Mexican Art. Do you mean socioeconomically? Yes, Pilsen isn't the richest neighborhood; it's made up primarily of artists and hard-working Latino immigrants, but that makes it affordable and culturally diverse. Do you mean safety-wise? I know that as a woman I've never felt unsafe walking home or taking public transport home by myself: even after dark after a night out. I've never had any problems or even know of anyone who has. I enjoyed hosting you and would love to host you and your Czech friend again any time you both might find yourselves in Chicago! - Chantell
