The waterfont house sits on a bank overlooking Georgia Strait, facing west to the mountains on Vancouver Island. It is rural and completely private, but close to town and a 5 minute walk from the Golf Course.

The space

There are two bedrooms: one (queen bed) is on the main floor and opens on to the deck and hot tub area. The other (double bed) is upstairs on the second floor. You have access to the kitchen and living room as well as the TV room. I live in the house, and you will be sharing it with me.
The house sits on 3 acres of rural property overlooking the ocean. You can launch your kayaks from here. The Golf Course is across the highway, a 5 minute walk. The home is quiet, private, and surrounded by gardens, orchard, and forest.

Guest access

You have a choice of two bedrooms. One with queen bed is on the main floor and has access to the deck and hot tub area. The other with double bed is on the second floor. You can use the kitchen, living room and outside space while here.

Interaction with guests

I will be available during your stay to help with any arrangements, or share information with you.
We can also provide a breakfast if you wish.

Other things to note

You might want to bring a house coat if you want to use the hot tub.

Gorgeous property full of fruit trees, a beautiful garden, berry bushes, and baby chicks. The accommodations were perfectly comfortable and each room offered full privacy. We enjoyed the hot tub and Jan gave great recommendations for dinner in town. We would love to come back and spend more time! Our one regret is that we only spent one day getting to know Jan and her marvelous home.

Jan is a warm and hospitable host and her house is very inviting and very interesting and comfortable. We saw river otters and bald eagles during the day and took a hot tub dip at sunset. Although this was a work trip for us we felt like we were on vacation. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun, quiet and inviting location. Oh, and the gardens and outdoor space is also incredible!

Jan's home is absolutely wonderful! The location is one of a kind, right on the water with breath-taking views and eagles circling above. The home is cozy, and clean. Jan, was very helpful and informative. Her French Toast breakfast was delicious! Tony, and I can't wait to book another get-a-way, at Jan's.

Jan was a friendly host offering many suggestions of places to go for dinner and things to do in the area. Breakfasts were very good. Our room was relaxing and had a great view. We also enjoyed sitting on the outside deck. It was very nice to end our evening with a soak in the hot tub.

Response from Jan:
Thanks so much Susan and Ian. I'm glad that you used the tub, and that the sun came out. Hopefully you'll have more of it for your west coast visit. The card is so beautiful and so appropriate with the humming bird - thank you. Safe journey home.

I love where I live, I kayak and garden, and grow most of my food (which I love to share with guests!). I love to travel and spend time in Mexico. Live it, love it.
