Step back in time in this fully renovated, fully-stocked 1860 house in Dutchess County, 2 miles off the Taconic in the historic hamlet of Beekmanville, just 75 minutes north of the GW Bridge.

Five acres of property bisected by the Fishkill Creek. Huge patio with fire pit, & indoor wood-burning stove.

Super-fast Xfinity/Comcast Wi-Fi makes this the perfect place to work away from work!

Grocery store and gas and Dunkin less than 2 miles away.

The space
Located in the hamlet of Beekmanville, with its 7 historic houses and an old stagecoach stop nestled close to the road from the days when horses and buggies were all the transportation people used.

The house has wooden floors with wide planks, exposed hand-hewn beams, plenty of light, and lots of rustic charm.

Available for short- or long-term rental. There are three bedrooms in total: one downstairs with a full-sized bed, and two upstairs, one with a queen bed and the other with two twin beds. Comfortably sleeps 9, if one person stays on the couch, and another on my twin air mattress. However, there is an extra fee for extra guests beyond 6. There is one bathroom with both a standing shower and a separate tub. The kitchen is fully equipped with All-Clad pans, sharp knives, and spices galore. The large patio, accessible through the sliding French-style doors in the dining room, has both a gas BBQ and a fire pit. The living room also has a wood-burning stove, which is very cozy in the winter. The house sits on 5.5 acres, and the Fishkill Creek bisects the backyard.
The house has WiFi and 5 televisions all already set up with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Youtube, and more. There is cable television in the living room only. There is a Verizon cell phone signal booster inside the house. Sprint has service here without it.

When I'm not in France -- which is where I go whenever I get the chance and always stay Air BnB when I do! -- I split my time between this house and my down-county apartment with my husband. I work as a high school English and French teacher, and coordinate the International Baccalaureate program at my school. I have owned this house since 2000, and have loved the renovation process, doing most of the work myself every step of the way. This 1860 home, which originally belonged to the town miller, needed a new roof, windows, siding, foundation, bathroom, kitchen, landscaping, patio, you name it. It's been a labor of love and I'm so happy with the way it turned out. I hope you do too!
