Built in 1910 with a studio addition in the back. Gorgeous modern, colorful and comfortable decor fills the 12 foot ceiling space. It has a large fenced in yard in downtown Madisonville. Only 4 blocks from the river front with a drive in gate in the rear for boat parking.
This gorgeous home has 3 bedrooms, a living room, piano/dining room, full kitchen, 2 large full baths, laundry room inside and a huge fenced in yard. It is beautiful and comfortable with lots of natural light and lots of heavy black out curtains for sleeping. There's a 55" TV in the living room, wifi internet and a grocery on the corner. You don't ever have to go far if you don't want to. It's right in the middle of downtown Covington with bars, restaurants, shops and a little pharmacy all within walking distance. The house has an additional studio attached off the rear laundry room which is my studio when I'm in town, if I am during your stay, don't hesitate to come knock and ask me if you have any questions, I love helping my guests find fun things to do!
This beautiful old home is set up perfectly for everyone to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Madisonville. The front porch invites you for morning coffee or to relax and watch the southern sun go down with juleps. There is laundry on site and parking for 3 vehicles.
Interaction with guests
I ran an air bnb in New Orleans for a year (with STELLAR!! reviews by the way ;) before buying my house here in Madisonville. I love hosting and I'm no stranger to AirBNBing. I'll try to be here when you check in so I can show you around and I'm always a call or text away to answer any questions you might have. I love helping people locate good food, great antiques, fun live music etc. It's Louisiana and this is old school Louisiana so there is no shortage of soul and heritage around these parts (makes my job pretty easy if you want to find something to do;) We'll arrange your arrival details once you book and make sure you get a good welcome. I always have soda's, bottled water and coffee fixins ready for my guests. Please feel free and help yourself to these.
Please respect my home, I renovated it myself and all I ask is that you take good care of it. If something breaks just let me know, accidents happen and I totally understand :) My neighbors are all super nice and helpful, just be kind:)
Hi there, I'm Sarah! Thanks for checking out my AIRbnb page, I hosted a great airbnb in New Orleans for a year before moving to Alaska to try my hand at gold mining and living it rough. I just moved back to good old Louisiana and it's glorious indoor amenities and luxuries to buy this stunning old gem in Madisonville. I absolutely loved doing the AirBnb in New Orleans and my new house is set up perfectly for it!
I am a painter and textile designer, with love of all things color! I love decorating and styling homes, especially the continual work on my own home which is it's own art piece in itself.
I keep to myself during the week and work on art projects, paintings or furniture stuff. During the weekend, like most southerners, I spend it with friends and family, enjoying delicious food and drinks. I love being a hostess and I think that's part of the reason I love AirBnb so much!
They ask you to add a life motto so hmmm, how bout:
Life is short, take more risks.
5 Things I can't live without: (in no particular order)
3. really good food
5. game of thrones
favorite place is n/w china, favorite food is eggrolls, fave book is jitterbug perfume. fave movie is oldschool.
**Is AIRBnb also becoming a dating site with these questions LOL...
I'm a good airbnb guest because: I stayed in an airbnb in costa rica and fixed THEIR shower then gave them a great review because they were great people!
