This cosy yet spacious waterfront cottage overlooks the tranquil waters of southern Port Esperance Bay. It has wood-fired heating, full amenities and access to a secluded beach. Perfect if you're looking for a peaceful or romantic place out in nature

The space

Throughout the day, you'll look up at the abundant bird-life among the white-gum/stringy bark trees on our property. And if you listen carefully at night, you'll hear the roos and wallabies munching on grass surrounding the cottage (so cute).
Enjoy a BBQ on the front porch and look out across the water to the local town of Dover. The North facing beach is a good spot to lay in the sun and unwind, and there's a large grassed area to lay on at the waters edge.

Guest access

The property has 20 acres, with the owners house up the back and cottage down the front on the water. Spacious lawns and gum trees to wander through or stroll around the fern walk just outside the back door of cottage. Private car port for your car and plenty of room to park a boat and a boat ramp on the waters edge.

Interaction with guests

If we are home when you arrive we'll certainly come and welcome you to our property. You may run into us out in the gardens throughout the daytime but otherwise you can expect the privacy and seclusion of your own guest house.

A great location. Wood heater going on arrival so lovely and warm with a good supply of wood just by the door. Super host. Highly recommended

Perfect little place with everything you could need (good coffee, great utensils and all tidy and well-organised). The whole place (which includes plenty of land and its own little beach by the water) is very well maintained. Great location with wonderful views. Fire already up and running when we arrived and easy to relight in the morning with plenty of firewood, firelighters and matches all provided. It was Easter Sunday the morning after we arrived so the hosts even provided Easter Eggs.

Cosy and endearing cottage, very clean and comfortable with a variety of dvd's. Fantastic wood heater - don't miss the sweet garden walk from the back door.

This place is really beautiful. The land around us is rich in history and the location, directly opposite the water made for a great outlook. Jeremy was super responsive and his father, Michael was there to help us out (also a legend) and get us settled. Would recommend, would return (thumbs up)

Would highly recommend this cabin! Lovely and private, with amazing water views! We stayed with our 5mth old baby and it was very modern, clean and child friendly (with portacot & high chair provided). It has a lovely wood fire and is very well insulated, so stayed comfortable as the temp dropped over night (in summer). Perfect location for exploring the Huon valley & Deep South (1/2 way between many key attractions & close to Dover for supermarket etc). Ps - Suggest bringing insect repellant!

I've been traveling for most of this year, and taking time to get to know other countries & cultures...I've found airbnb a perfect avenue to meet locals from all around the world, and live like they do..

I grew up in Tasmania, and have been calling Sydney home for the last 7 years.
I love meeting people from all walks, good conversation, good times and not taking life too seriously :)
