A pleasant guest house in a lush setting on a river, sharing a large yard with the owner's house. After a long day wandering The Cape, one of my favorite amenities was a large shower head with luxuriously high water pressure. I wish I had had time to enjoy the comforts of the place more!
My sister and I stayed at Riverview Cottage for one night on a quick fall getaway to the Cape. Hotels were very expensive and we'd have to share a room. Staying here allowed us to each have our own room and cook a meal for about the cost of an average hotel. We had the added benefit of walking up the road through conservancy trust lands for a beautiful Sunday morning stroll.
We stayed in this fabulous cottage for one night only, but on arrival, we immediately wished we could have stayed longer. Nancy is a very friendly host who made us very welcome. She provided excellent tips on restaurants, and was able to direct us to the location of some cranberry harvesting, one of the main activities on our list of things we wanted to see on Cape Cod. The cottage is beautiful, both internally and externally, and is in an excellent location on a river. We didn't cook there but noted that the kitchen is well equipped. The cottage is very clean, beautifully and tastefully decorated, with very comfortable beds, and a gorgeous bathroom. In the lounge there is a large window seat overlooking the garden, with excellent views of the river. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful cottage.
