This European style 2nd floor room within a short walk of WKU allows guests to sleep and study in privacy. Located in the renovated Tyler Adams House (c. 1844), it was once the office of a local missionary. A bathroom is available some steps away. The room can sleep two in a pinch (single bed and air mattress). The main advantage is the low cost. We have other rooms that can better accommodate couples, but if you are a single traveller on a budget, you may find this ideal. Smoke free campus!

The space

This is a small room (97 sq ft) that has just enough room for a twin bed and a desk. It does have a closet. The bathroom is several steps away, so please consider this before booking. Many years ago, this room was the Office of the President of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church women’s missions organization, Johnnie Massey Clay. I think she would be proud that it is now being used to lodge travelers to Bowling Green.
This room will sleep two, but the second person will sleep on an air mattress.
There is a TV in the room, but we have "cut the chord" and offer a selection of over the air channels.
The room is near to State Street, so we offer ear plugs for those guests who are not accustomed to urban street noise.

Guest access

Guests can use the downstairs living room, kitchen and utility room. There is a washer and dryer in the utility room.

Interaction with guests

You will be given a list of phone numbers to contact if you need anything, but try sending a message on airbnb first.

Other things to note

Listed price (before your service fee) includes the following local taxes:
- Bowling Green City Transient Room Tax (4%)
- Warren County Transient Room Tax (2%)

Note that most hotels add these taxes to their quoted price. We do not, it is already included. When comparison shopping in Bowling Green please take this into account.

Please be aware that although your unit will be clean with clean linens when you arrive, we do not offer daily maid service. We allow you to do these duties yourself and save money. We do have complementary washers and driers in case you need to wash clothes or linens during your stay.
We are not set up to provide meals. However, you are free to use our kitchens to prepare your own.
This is a large, multi-unit home. Other guests will share the kitchen, common area and in certain rooms, the bathrooms. Each room has its own lock, and there is a video surveillance system of the outside areas of the building to help assure your safety.
If you need to check out late or check in early, please let us know. We can usually accommodate you, but we do need to know.

This home is only a quick walk to the square... perfectly located! The home has a real rustic fun feel to it. I definitely recommend it.

We took over the entire Tyler Adams House (all eight units!) for a big weekend of summer celebration, and it was the perfect place for us. Clean, spacious, comfortably appointed. Large enough spaces for our whole crew to gather, but plenty of ways to get away for some alone time when necessary. Centrally located, and in walking distance to many things we wanted to do, it is also easy to drive to and from. Very responsive and helpful hosts.

Property was exactly as described in the listing. Clean and comfortable and just a couple of blocks from downtown activities yet still very private. Excellent choice for business or family traveler. As stated in the listing you will hear some noise from the street from unit number 5. But it was not an issue at all. Top marks for this property and its gracious hosts.
