This lovely mountain cabin is situated just a short distance from Camp Nelson at Pierpoint Springs. It has fabulous views, is modern but quaint. In August 2016 we did the following upgrades: Installed a new air cooler, new dual pane vinyl windows, new laminate flooring in the living/dinning room, new insulated door downstairs, new 43" 4K TV on the main floor and a new 4K DVD player, moved the existing 32" TV and DVD to the upstairs bedroom.

My family and I had a great stay at Fred's cabin. It was warm, clean and cosy. It really is out in nature. The road there is a long and winding one, with stunning (and when we drove there in the dark, hair raising) views. There is a stunning view off the balcony of the cabin. We grilled outside and also cooked inside. The cabin is at the end of a winding road. There are about 15 residences along the road amongst the trees, so you feel like you're secluded and out in nature, but there are still people about if you were in dire need! Good for this city girl to know. There is a shop and bar in nearby Camp Nelson. During two days we leisurely visited the 100 sequoia trees, the dome rock look out point, the stag tree and the Tulane river down by the belknap campground. We would stay again and wholeheartedly recommend it.

The view is sincerely amazing. The place is spacious and filled with kitchen supplies, toys, games, movies, etc. You can just walk down to the river from behind the house. The tavern in town is fun and the drive to the 3rd largest tree in the world is only 30min away!

My wife and I are semi retired. This house was built by my Dad and I in the early 70's. They sold it and was owned by a nice couple for 37 years. We recently purchased it from them and now want to share it with you!
