Fantastic location on the Jurassic Coast with stunning rural and sea views!
Well equipped, comfortable, light and airy, 3 bed self contained cottage with a log burner for cosy winter nights. Large patio, +garden. Close to wonderful scenic walks on South Coast path, 300 yards to clifftop (rugged access to beach) + pub. Well behaved dogs welcome!
Perfect for relaxing, walking and exploring, but not suitable for parties! Usually weekly bookings only Friday - Friday from April - October.

The space

Our cottage is a fabulous light and airy three storey Edwardian cottage with stunning views of both open countryside and the sea...

It's got three bedrooms, and can accommodate five people. It has a well-equipped, modern kitchen, two bathrooms and a sink/loo off the master bedroom at the top of the house.

There is a large deck-area outside, with patio furniture and large sun brolly. A couple of steps down to the garden lead to an area where you can barbecue.

We welcome up to two well-behaved dogs and the garden is as far as possible dog-proof! A gate at the foot of the garden leads on to the road.

There is off-road parking for one small-ish car, but turning room is very tight. Easier to park on the road and walk up the garden to the house.

Guest access

Guests have the whole house to themselves.

Interaction with guests

We live a few miles away and know the area, so can offer guests advice and recommendations. We're happy for guests to phone us with any queries, and will do our best to ensure they have a happy and enjoyable time.

Other things to note

Parking directly outside the house is possible but a little tricky. Also, the surface is very uneven and guests should take extra care. After unloading, we find it easier to park down on the road and enter the house via the garden. Please be considerate of our neighbours' access requirements, particularly if your car is large.

We had a fantastic week at Andrew's cottage and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in a beautiful location. The cottage itself is lovely and clean and extremely well equipped. The little personal touches really do make a difference, fresh flowers in every room and some lovely treats left for us on arrival. The cottage is very spacious and has everything you need to make it feel like a home from home. The location is beautiful. We enjoyed the coastal walk to Ringstead beach and a well earned pint at the Smugglers Inn on the way home. It is within an hour's drive of lots of bigger towns so there is so much to do for families. We had a wonderful time with lots of trips out and didn't get to do everything we wanted....we needed a few more days. Thank you for a lovely holiday, we will be recommending your beautiful cottage to friends and family.

We had a great time at the cottage. Everything was provided and catered for a family holiday. We would thoroughly recommend to all, especially dog owners. Andrew and Julie were exceptional hosts, answering all of our questions very promptly and ensuring that we had a relaxing stay. The location is perfect for coastal walks direct from the front door and the Smugglers pub is ideal for an early evening drink.

Perfect picture postcard image of my ideal seaside cottage. Beautifully furnished and decorated to encompass everything that is good about the seaside. Despite the typical British weather, i.e. Rain, we had an amazing time all helped by the lovely atmosphere at the cottage. On arrival there was a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge along with 4 pints of milk and a lovely cake on the kitchen table. Fresh flowers were in every room. The kitchen is very well equipped. There were only two of us ( and Toby the dog) but there was plenty of crockery, glasses etc for a full house. Lovely bright and airy sitting room with a flat screen TV and DVD. No Sky or Virgin but I took our Apple TV which I was easily able to connect to the TV via the HDMI socket and we watched Netflix when it was too wet to go out. Broadband easily coped with streaming. My husband runs his own business and found not having a mobile signal both a blessing and a curse and had to park at the top of the lane to keep in touch once a day. However once back at the cottage he loved the fact that no one could bother him. The bedrooms are gorgeous. We only used the top room which was lovely and had an amazing view over the hills and coastal path. We took our own towels but there were towels in all the bathrooms and kitchen T towels and hand towels etc. Lovely garden dropping down to the path down to the sea, which is only a minute or two walk away. The local pub, The Smugglers Inn, served good food and had great service. If you're into walking as we are you can walk one way over the coastal path to Weymouth which is about 4 miles or to Lulworth Cove about 7 miles the other way. We also like eating out and on the one sunny day we caught a cab into Weymouth to spend a leisurely afternoon at the famous Crab House cafe. All the cabs in the area seem to be dog friendly and will provide a suitable cab on request. Andy and Julie were perfect hosts and great at communication both before and during our stay. It was really perfect and we can't wait to go back.

Excellent holiday home. The house is in a wonderful location and has great views from the garden and front bedrooms. The home specious and was very well stocked with all you need to cook etc. and as we had told them we had a baby they had also left lots of different baby things (E.g. High chair, cot, changing mat, night lights etc.). Andrew and Julie were very accommodating and communicated well before and during the stay. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this home!
