Great location
95% of recent guests gave the location a 5-star rating.
Newly up-graded, large, one-room post and beam suite with spacious, tiled bath and shower, private entrance, WiFi, and Netflix. 3-minute walk to Sunapee Harbor / 5-minute drive to Mt. Sunapee Resort.

The space
The sleeping area with queen size bed and walnut head board can be secluded behind drapes that can be drawn to allow for another guest to enjoy watching TV or spend time at the large, high top table with leather seated chairs and bench at the large picture window. WiFi and Netflix are free.
Originally a post and beam structure moved from an island in Lake Sunapee during the early 1900s, The Island House is now a part of a larger, unique dwelling that is also the residence of Bill Wightman and the office of Wightsteeple Productions, a performing arts production company.

Location

Sunapee, New Hampshire, United States

Sunapee Harbor is the head waters of the Sugar River (just across the street from the Island House). With a rich history of early saw and grist mills, one can follow the 'Riverwalk', sit and in the 'Hames Park', or cross the new covered footbridge to take in various sites along the river. Sunapee Harbor is only a 3-minute walk and is full of restaurants, shops, parks, ice cream shops, art galleries, kayak rentals, boat rides, entertainment, and great water-side views. Mount Sunapee Resort is the site of amazing skiing in the winter and lots of summer fun with the League of NH Craftsmen Fair, and its Adventure Park that features downhill Mountain Biking, Summit lift rides, and fantastic hiking.
