Whether you are here for work or pleasure, you will be able to relax and enjoy your stay in a highly desirable and most convenient neighborhoods!

There is no parking in the building, but dozens of metered parking right out front that are fairly cheap ($0.50 to $1.50/hr depending on time of day) and free overnight. If you don't want to worry about meters, there is a lot across the street that is only $10 per night (vs. $40-60/night for hotels in our neighborhood).

Super convenient to downtown and all modes of transportation. Extremely high walk rating...

Everything is easily accessible: restaurants, museums, waterfront, shopping -- plus so much more this amazing city has to offer. It’s just a short walk to Moscone Center, Union Square, the Embarcadero, Chinatown, North Beach, AT&T Park and all the nightlife of SoMa/Southbeach.

BART, Transbay terminal, and CalTrain are all 5-20 mins walking distance.

South Beach is also known as the second financial district. This means it is relatively quiet during evenings and weekends.

Transbay/Greyhound bus terminal = 5 min walk
Montgomery BART = 8 min walk
Ferry building = 15 min walk
CalTrain = 20 min walk

Guests can take the airport BART to the Montgomery BART station. From there, they can either walk about 8-10mins, or take the 12 bus line from 2nd St & Stevenson to 2nd St & Folsom.

There's usually some free evening street parking available in the neighborhood from 6pm - 9am because it’s a bit tucked away. It's also close to many Zip Car locations. It’s easily freeway-accessible to the Eastbay, the Peninsula, and the Southbay.

Guest access

You will have full access to the down stairs area. This includes access to the 60 inch oled television with local channels on the Tivo and various options on the Apple TV. The washer and dryer are located in the garage and are coin operated.

Interaction with guests

I love meeting new people and I look forward to meeting people from all over the world.

During the week, I typically leave my apartment btw 7:30/8:00am and return home around 6pm. I'm pretty quite, but I'm happy to socialize and/or give insider/neighborhood info to guests.

Weekends are open. Sometimes I like to be home, relaxing and or doing house chores. Other times I'm out and about in the city.

Other things to note

No smoking, no drugs, no pets, building quiet hours after 10pm (typical of most shared buildings in this area), no major gatherings/parties in the loft (the odd guest is okay). STR-0000650

Michael's little loft home is bright and sunny. It has been well designed for convenience. The bed is very comfortable and all facilities are modern and work well. Michael allows his guests to have their own space. He had useful suggestions for eating and getting out and about. Some eateries were not so easy for me to get to. It is in a quiet nook off the 1st Street. Really easy access to most places. I felt safe.

Michael is a great host and I slept pretty well given the shared room setup. He's super accommodating for checking and really fast communication. That was very much appreciated! My only issue was some surfaces needed to be cleaned/dusted, and there were some ants on the bathroom sink, shower wall and near the TV in the main room.

Michael is a 100% kind and nice man. He recommended a complete list of nearby restaurants to me and spent a lot of time finding a free earphone for me when mine got broke. He has tons of movie collections and shared them with me;)

5* for the place, location and host! Mike's place was easily accessible from the Caltrain station at 4th & King St with just a 10 min ride or 20min walk. The apartment itself is located in a secluded and quiet street that is surrounded by a bustling neighbourhood (freeway is close-by and many large tech companies are in the surrounding blocks). Granted, there was little to zero noise at night-time, so you will snooze in peace. His place is clean, spacious (even with large luggage) and stocked with all facilities and necessities (kitchenware, shower, towels, and then some!). I had the pleasure to be the first guest to test run the new sofa bed and huge TV - perfect combo for winding down a long-day of traversing the rolling hills of SF with a wide selection of the latest shows and movies available. :) There are many sites to visit within walking distance of Mike's apartment, and he'll be sure to give you top tips on the best local eateries to head to. Some of the surrounding sites - - Ferry Building (Marketplace + Good restaurants + Ferry to Sausalito) - Views of Oakland bridge (best at night when the bridge is illuminated with a light show) - Rincon Park (Food market on the weekends) - AT&T Stadium ( Baseball ) - SF Museum of Modern Art (5min Next block) - Yerba Buena Gardens - SF City Hall - Asian Art Museum - Dragons Gate + Chinatown Definitely recommend this place to people that want to get in the most of SF within walking distance of top sites and eats! :)
