Handy for London by tube, we are very pleased to offer a bright and sunny double room with smart TV, fitted wardrobes and a soft double bed. Guests will have full private use of the bathroom as my wife and I have a separate en suite over the landing.
This is a room at the rear of the property looking out on the garden. Access is via stairs rising from the lounge area. It is at the far end of the corridor away from the master bedroom and next to the bathroom. The room faces South-East and benefits from sunshine all morning.
Guests can access the dining area, lounge and garden. We expect guests to vacate the room by 1000 on check-out day.
Interaction with guests
You are welcome to share our lounge area in the evening, and expect you to be out and about during the day and to have eaten out. We can offer advice about local travel arrangements and facilities, or just have a sociable chat to get to know you better. Occasionally we have one of our grandchildren staying overnight in another room.
Other things to note
We are situated in a tucked-away side road in a mature estate at the top of one of the hills that surround Chesham.
Feel relaxed and treat our home as if it were your own, but we ask that no showers are taken after 2200. Respect the fact that we are in a secluded residential neighbourhood. We can cater for pets. No smoking in the house. We do not offer any catering other than breakfast and guests will make their own arrangements for refreshments to carry with them if on holiday days out. Please aim to check in after 1700 and to check out by 1000 on the morning of departure.
I and my wife Marian are professional people. Marian is a retired teacher and I occasionally run management training courses, although a lot of my time is spent in developing an e-learning course for Business English. We have two grown-up children and four grandchildren, three girls and a boy. We enjoy entertaining and showing people the local area which has been used frequently for TV series such as Midsomer Murders. When we can get away we like the Greek islands, especially Crete. We are relaxed about sharing our home with people and are happy to accommodate guests as much as we can. My life motto is 'Never stop'.
