The space
Welcome to our cosy and characterful holiday home, set on beautiful mature grounds just a 2-minute walk from a hotel with full amenities — including bar, restaurant, breakfast, and WiFi — and a championship 18-hole golf course with stunning views, deer, driving range, and golf carts available.
The house has 3 comfortable en-suite bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 single), plus a travel cot available. Sleeps up to 5 adults or children, and 1 baby. The living space features a large, comfortable sofa and a wood-burning stove — perfect for a relaxing evening after a day outdoors.
There’s a well-equipped, modern kitchen with an induction hob, oven, grill, microwave, and a dining table for 6. A bright conservatory looks out onto the peaceful greenery — ideal for your golf clubs or an extra space.
The home is not a new build (built 28 years ago) but has plenty of charm and a warm, welcoming feel. Fast WiFi is included, and a TV with Netflix. This isn’t a flashy or overly modern space — just a warm, homely retreat that we hope will make you feel completely at ease.
You’ll find lovely views, birdlife, and peaceful walks right on your doorstep — including Blessington Lake just a minute away. The area is quiet and scenic, with mature trees and stunning sunsets.
Just 7 minutes drive away you’ll find the original Hollywood village and ancient stone circles, with great Irish pubs and restaurants in Hollywood and Ballymore Eustace. Glendalough, CityWest, Tallaght, Naas, and Newbridge are all within a 20-minute drive.
There is a dedicated parking space directly outside the house. Please note that commercial vehicles are not permitted in this area. If you are arriving with a commercial vehicle, you’re welcome to park it in the nearby hotel car park, at your own risk.

You might like to bring your slippers as the house is shoe free as much as possible! We hope this will also make your stay even more comfortable!
The house is located 2 minute easy walk to the Tulfarris Hotel. The hotel bar serves good food and a has a excellent restaurant on the 1st floor.
Out the back of the hotel there is a nice seating area to enjoy a coffee/ meal and some beautiful scenery.
Drop into the golf shop to book a round of golf. Caddy cars and buggy’s also available to rent. Driving range has a machine that takes €5+ with credit card for balls. Tom is the professional and a very nice guy if you would like a lesson.
Shops
The closest village with shops is Ballymore Eustace, 5k away. There are some great places to eat there. The Ballymore Inn ( has 2 dining areas- one more relaxed other more formal) has amazing food and you'll be delighted you ate there! There is also a lovely walk 2 minutes from it along the bank of the Liffey- highly recommend. There is a takeaway that may deliver. There are also some good music sessions in the pubs in this town.
Blessington also a few cafes/ pubs. The Moody Rooster is popular for breakfast. Take aways incldung Fortune chinese take away and Spice Indian takeaway.
Avon Ri is a must visit. Another hotel and holiday village by the lake close to Blessington. There are a number of food trucks with a popular big blue pizza bus as well as a sauna.
Russborough House is 5 minutes away and a fantastic location for walks, food and more.There are lovely gardens, fairy walk, flying fox, playground, and tours of the house available. There is also a great café.
The original Hollywood is also quite close, about 5k away as well. It’s worth a drive and looking up the story. There are two pubs here, one which serves a lovely meal, the Hollywood Inn and across the road, Tuttys, which sometimes has impromptu music sessions.
Hollywood postoffice is now a great cafe that sometimes opens on Fri/ Sat evening with a pizza oven and byo. You got to call them to confirm- but during the day are open for sure and amazing cakes and cappucinos are to be had!
Blessington village is the largest of the local towns and has three super markets,
Super Value in the Main Street and
Aldi (best value) at the start of the town (Dublin side) across from the petrol station. Dunnes stores off the square is also good enough value and offers homeware and some clothing.
Places to check out
The Piper Stones, off the N81, there is little signage so check google maps first or ask. It is past the turn for Hollywood on the left. You need to climb the fence and walk through two fields too find a magical ancient stone circle!
Hollywood- the sign is on the hill, the Hollywood Inn has a great range of photos from famous visitors throughout the years and the story behind how the famous American town got its name is quite inspirational.
Glendalough. One of the most beautiful places in the world. 25 minute drive. Forest, waterfalls, valley, lakes, round tower, old monastic settlement and great walks. You can spend a day here. also great food from the Heather restaurant/ bar and foodtrcks onsite at the carpark by the lake
