I have a clean, bright room in a lovely Queenslander home. There is a queen bed, suitable for a couple or a single person. A north-easterly verandah to enjoy a cuppa and a quiet breakfast, opens from the bedroom and lounge.
Because I live in my home, there are many paintings and posters on the walls. I have photos and jigsaws and craft workings around one side of the lounge . This is home. It is not a bare, stark motel room, but it is welcoming.
Close to the town.

The space

Private and comfortable queen sized room with space for clothes storage and luggage. Lovely open verandahs overlooking a leafy garden. Nostalgic stained glass bay windows look out upon a quiet country vista.
There is a single toilet and bathroom shared with myself and guests.
Guest bedroom is large, light, airy.
A covered carport for your vehicle, in the back yard of my home.

When we arrived at Betty's house, she came out and greeted us with her beautiful smile. We knew that we had chosen the right place to stay in Wondai, a lovely town. Her house is within walking distance to all you need. Bedroom was a good size for a couple or one person with plenty of sunlight. Enjoyed having afternoon tea with her and a chat on her sunny balcony. Thank you Betty for your hospitality and sharing your stories with us. You made us feel very welcome. We could see you really love meeting people that's what makes you the best host!! And your a great story teller as well lol See you next time Alan and Aya

Betty is a very friendly and welcoming hostess who is knowledgeable on the local area. Her home represents good value accommodation. We enjoyed our weekend during which we visited Wondai, Kingaroy and Goomeri; all very interesting and friendly places. We can particularly recommend the bakery in Wondai, the Tourist Information Centres, both in Wondai and Kingaroy which were very interesting and informative.

Response from Betty:
Thank you Wendy and Guy for staying with me in Wondai. I am so glad you had a nice visit and enjoyed our interesting Tourist Information Centre, and bakery. I hope your native plants bought at our local markets will flourish. It was good you were able to visit Kingaroy and its Tourist Info Centre, and that your visit could include the Pumpkin Festival at Goomeri. It was lovely to meet you both. All the best for your future. Betty

I'm a friendly, welcoming middle aged lady who enjoys travelling and hearing of other people's travel experiences. I also enjoy crafts, art, dancing and music, photography.

Favourite destinations: South America and Canada. I enjoy travelling independently.
I have lovely friends who often call in and see me.
My home is a lived in house. It is not a stark, bare motel room.
