Boat ramp to the Winooski River is just down the street. The area becomes a kaleidoscope of vibrant colors during the autumn foliage season - "leaf peepers" welcome!

Why do we love Colchester so much? Beautiful views of both the Adirondack Mountains of New York to the West and the Green Mountains of Vermont to the East, the splendor of Lake Champlain and Mallets Bay twinkling in the sunlight, and an abundance of forests sprinkled all around. Water, mountains, and forest of pine, oak and maple in a quiet neighborhood setting while just minutes away from Burlington's faster pace. How fortunate we are to enjoy seagulls, red tail hawks, hummingbirds and cardinals all at once!

We are 1 hour away from beautiful Stowe for skiing enthusiasts and you can lose yourself enjoying the numerous small towns and rolling hills throughout the countryside of the Champlain Valley and surrounding areas. Not to mention Montreal is only less than a 2-hour drive away!

Colchester was chartered in 1763 and our home is merely minutes from Ethan Allen's Homestead as well. We are less than 15 minutes away from downtown Burlington and world famous Church Street and a perfect location for family and friends visiting students at UVM, Champlain College or St. Michaels.

We look forward to meeting you and your family in hopes of providing a true New England experience of relaxation and fun.

We had a very enjoyable stay in this b&b. We had the whole basement to ourselves: bedroom, bathroom and a livingroom. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable. Brian and Mayte are very kind and welcoming hosts. Both breakfasts that Brian prepared for us were delicious (fresh fruits, waffles!). Burlington is a lively town, a 15 min drive from Colchester, with lots of restaurants. Recommended!

We had the best time leaf peeping in Vermont thanks to Brian's hospitality! It felt like we were visiting old friends, and they offered excellent tips and information on touring the area as well. They also were super sweet with my baby, who developed a big crush on their adorable pup Bella, and made my whole family a gorgeous home cooked breakfast during our stay. The location is beautiful and serene, and I wish we booked more days there! I highly recommend staying with Brian and his lovely wife.

We stayed 3 nights in late September at Brian's place in Colchester, and were very happy with our experience. He and his lovely wife are very friendly and so helpful, with lots of information and suggestions on what to do and where to go. Their home is in a quiet neighborhood and very close to the main bike path. We had the entire lower level to ourselves, and they live upstairs at the opposite end of the house, so privacy wasn't an issue. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and smelled fresh. There was a separate entrance through the garage. It is obvious to us that Brian is a serious host and is focused on making his guests have a top-notch stay. We loved his cooking and conversations. We have had negative experiences at other places, and honestly can't think of anything negative to say about this one. It's a gooder!

Brian and Matai (sorry if I misspelled your name) were fabulous hosts. The communication was very clear and we arrived a bit later than we expected and that was a non-issue. The place is very clean, and we immediately felt comfortable. The breakfast was delicious both mornings we stayed. I highly recommend this place and will be back.

We couldn't have been any happier with our accommodations and our hosts. Brian and Mayte were fantastic. Really enjoyed visiting with them. Location was super as we were doing the island bike trail. A bonus was Brian's absolutely delicious gourmet waffle breakfast with organic blackberries and strawberries. We look forward to returning in the future.
