WITH PRIVATE PARKING, This beautiful Grade II listed Fisherman's Cottage is set in the very centre of the bustling fishing village of Whitstable. Built in the 1800s and recently refurbished, it retains much of its original character and offers the perfect short break.

The space

This Grade II listed cottage was built in the 1800s to house one of the local fishermen of the time. Today it retains lots of original features, however it has been brought bang up to date with a full, sympathetic refurbishment to ready it for modern day living.

Set on the bustling high street of Whitstable town centre, guests will benefit from the vast array of fantastic restaurants, galleries, bars and shops on offer here. Visitors will find they truly are in the very centre of it all and will be able to walk to both the harbour and the beach in under 5 minutes.

Two good sized double bedrooms mean there is plenty of room for up to four people to stay and with a top notch garden that catches the sun throughout almost all of the day, there's as much great outside space as there is inside.

Guest access

The entire house will be at your disposal, inside and out.

Interaction with guests

We will be contactable on numerous telephone numbers throughout your stay.

Other things to note

The cottage is a semi-detached building without any residential neighbours. As such you will not experience any disturbances from next door.

We'd like guests to enjoy our home as if it were their own and therefore to treat it with the same respect they would theirs... The only rule we've developed so far is that we ask guests to not smoke inside. Also - the fireplace is non-working, so please use the central heating, rather than trying to light an open fire...

A very cute and well located cottage. Being on the High St did mean it was a bit noisy at times, particularly in the front bedroom but the benefits of being so centrally located to the beach and harbour more than made up for it. The stairs, as mentioned elsewhere are steep, but our toddler managed them ok with help. The only downside was the cottage did seem to have a bit of a damp problem which meant it smelt musty.

We had a lovely few days stay here. Peter was very helpful and friendly during all of our exchanges from booking to checking out. The cottage is in a great location close to the beach and town, with shops very close by. Although the cottage is on the main street in to town, the traffic didn't bother us too badly. As others have said, the steps are pretty steep but our 4yo enjoyed coming down them on his bottom! Def recommend :)

A very centrally located cottage - ideally placed for exploring Whitstable. We stayed with our 1 year old and if you're travelling with children I'd flag that the staircase is extremely steep and narrow. The back bedroom is fairly quiet but expect significant noise from the street in both the living room and front bedroom. Great to have off-street parking and a garden space. Peter was a great host, really quick to respond and happy to provide recommendations for local food spots etc.

Cheaper and better options available if you book well ahead of your visit.

Small, but comfortable terraced house in central Whitstable. Whitstable is a lovely town, with lots of individual pubs, restaurants and shops. There is a private parking spot at the rear of the house, which is a huge bonus in Whitstable; and a small rear garden. The train station is only a 10 minute walk away, from where you can get to many destinations. You can also get the bus from outside the house to Canterbury. The beach is a 15 minute walk away. The rear bedroom is quieter, as the front faces onto the main high st. Peter made us very welcome. Recommended for people who want to stay in the heart of this charming town.
