My cottage is a blend of old and modernised décor and has recently been renovated. Stunning walks into the countryside and the collection of pubs on the river weirs. There are bus routes every 15 mins to Bath/Bristol. An experience not to be missed!

The space

The cottage has a lot of character. Easy access to Bath and Bristol with buses running every 15mins up until 2 in the morning. You can walk straight into the countryside from the cottage and experience beautiful strolls. There is an arts cycle path 10minutes away which is popular for tourists which links between the cities. The river has 3 popular pubs on the weirs surrounded by canal boats and incredible views.

Interaction with guests

I like to welcome guests when I can. However, I'm also often away. I would always leave instructions and pointers of where to go!

Other things to note

The cottage is close to the A4 road which can be busy at times. However, you have a 5 minute walk down to the river and tranquility.

Really good host - lots of helpful information provided before and during our stay. The cottage is in a great location for access to Bath and Bristol, with some nice nearby pubs. The Thai restaurant provides very good take-away food, but gets busy so order early. Car parking can be challenging if you don't manage to get a space in the car park across the road. You need to cross the road with your luggage. Very easy access to the bus network.

Lovely quirky cottage located not far from Bath- good base of operations for a weekend away, or longer. As stated the main road outside can be a bit busy/noisy, but does make for easy access coming to and from the cottage as you explore the area. Deborah was always available for any questions we had and easy to get in touch with.

Great cottage within locations of both bath and Bristol. Easy communication with Deborah and everything you need Inside the house. Lovely decor and facilities inside. The house is on a busy main road but you can't hear the road once inside. There is a car park opposite which was easy to park in which was good, as it was too busy a road to pull up outside house and unload/load the car.

What a lovely comfy cottage, quirky and so interesting - a great eclectic mix! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Deborah was very welcoming and helpful via email and text despite the fact that unfortunately, she wasn't around to meet in person.

I am an Art/Photography Teacher at a nearby College for A'level students and generally very creative. I love where I live, a stones throw from the countryside and cycle path into both Bath/Bristol. I often take my kayak down to the river which is 5 minutes away. I have a wanderlu…
