Casa Paloma is absolutely wonderful. The starry skies, amazing views of Pedernal and the surrounding landscapes are breathtaking. We saw jack rabbits, only one coyote (but you can hear them howl at night, it's magical) and birds galore. The home itself is full of warm characte…

We spent two nights at this wonderful gem in Abiquiu. The house is beautiful and well-equipped and the scenery is beautiful. During the day, there are numerous hiking trails and at night, a deep blue sky with thousands of stars.

Everything about Casa Paloma is fantastic. First, it is surrounded by an amazing view of the Pedernal (O'Keefe's mountain). Second, the house is comfortable, with a great kitchen. All the rooms are perfect, clean and it's like being home to stay there. This is my second stay at C…

We especially loved watching the sun set from the upstairs deck and sitting on the patio watching the bunnies and the hummingbirds and the wide open views of the mountains. This is the perfect base for fans of Georgia O'Keeffe who want to visit her house and studio in Abiquiu and…

Our time at Casa Paloma was so relaxing. We enjoyed several walks through the area that Owner Peter suggested, enjoyed a fire in the outdoor fire pit, and even got to enjoy the Perseid Meteor Shower with amazing 365-degree unobstructed views. The house was charming and had so man…

Marc, Leslie & David & fam - What a tremendous weekend you all had for your Ghost Ranch wedding bonanza, having planned this an entire year out! You all must have really good juju, as the weather cooperated fully, including the Perseid Meteor Showers for the entire weekend, for all wedding party & guests to enjoy in the wide open, unobstructed skies in & around Abiquiu. Kind of like having karmic fireworks to celebrate your nuptials - pretty awesome! We loved hosting you in Casa Paloma & your family is welcome to come back at any time, to hopefully enjoy more explorations around our home. You still have to make time to discover the magical wonders of Plaza Blanca, as well as some of the Indian ruins close by. Oh, & the Carson Nat'l Park, the Purple Adobe Lavender Farm, El Santuario de Chimayo', Bodes General Merchandise Store, maybe a trip to Taos... the list is endless - come on back! Again, congratulations, Laura & Pete

This is a very special location and could not have better views and it is very quiet (which we really wanted). It was remote, but still had all the amenities you would want (including direct tv). We took advantage of Peter's hiking suggestions (which were amazing places). Laura w…

Response from Peter And Laura:
Hey, Jean, Pete & I enjoyed having you & your husband come down from Colorado for the weekend, just for a chance to get away & explore Abiquiu, including Plaza Blanca - one of the 'amazing places' of which you talked. We appreciate the care you took of Casa Paloma & certainly hope you'll plan to come again in the future, maybe with friends, & stick around to explore the area a bit longer. So much to see & do! Safe travels - Laura & Pete

Pete & I have been coming to the northern New Mexico from Virginia for 15 years now, falling more & more in love with the unique ancient lands, the turquoise skies & red rock mesas. The Sangre de Christos are captivating. So a couple of years ago, we decided to buy into our dream…
