Our stay was perfect. The house is very well located, close to Tahoe City (North) and a short 20-mn drive to Emerald Bay (South). Very comfy and spacious. The master bedroom is very bright. We all agreed on the fact that it would the perfect place to stay for a ski vacation (garage with rack for gear / shower with sauna option). Farin was an amazing host, resourceful and super responsive. I would definitely come back or recommend to my friends.

This is a fine place to stay in Homewood. We came a week after Labor Day when the community is winding down from summer. Centrally located on the western shore, close to everything you need and want in the summer and winter without feeling overdeveloped, from outdoor activities, good walks, hikes, and cycling, restaurants, bars, and groceries. The character of the home is contemporary and practical (no unnecessary high luxury) with all you need in the house and kitchen and a nice hot steam bath in the master shower (ok, a little bit of high luxury). It is one block from the main drag, Highway 89, and so with open windows during the summer you'll get some traffic sound, but it shouldn't be disruptive for anyone but the very sound-sensitive. If you crave a rustic and minimalist log cabin experience (my wife sounded like she was hoping for sawdust on the floor and a potbelly wood burning stove in the living room), this isn't for you. If you watch a lot of broadcast TV, the best you can get are two channels available, unless I dorked the remotes. But we unplugged ourselves anyway. Otherwise, bring your streaming device, as wifi will get you there. Farin was immediately responsive to us in planning and we needed nothing during our stay, except more time there. I can't imagine from all the other AirBnB offerings, by pictures, location and comments, that there is any unit available that offers more happiness for the money.

Response from Farin:
Greg, thank you for your feedback. We're glad you had a pleasant stay and sorry to hear you had problems with the cable TV. We have basic plus cable service that includes Disney, CNN, PBS, and many sport channels. It is possible that the cable service for the area was down during your stay. As of next month, we also will be adding a Blu-ray player with streaming capability that can be used by guests who have Netflix or Amazon prime accounts.

Communication and check- in were hassle free and quick responses. The Tahoma cabin was much bigger than I had expected. Towels and linens provided. Plenty utensils for us to cook with. Perfect location for a relaxing west shore or homewood trip. Would like to rent again in the winter. Thank you Farin
