Cosy and tastefully decorated, the house is nestled amongst Sabine olive groves and fruit trees with gorgeous views down a valley and across to a characteristic Sabine hilltop town. Fabulous sunsets and stargazing. This place is breathtaking and perfect for just getting away from it all, reading, writing, walking and just regenerating.

The space

Downstairs is the study, kitchen and sunken living room with fireplace and pull-out double sofa bed. Upstairs is the bedroom (double or twin beds) with a balcony and a gorgeous bathroom. Outside is a rustic pergola where you can enjoy breakfast, a spot of lunch, or dinner with a glass of wine while gazing up at the clear night sky and stars (milky way is visible).

Guest access

A car is recommended as the house is secluded with the closest town 5 kms away. Cars can be rented at the airport or alternatively the airport train can be taken to Fara Sabina station (an hour and a half) and a car hired at the station. From the station it is about a 20 minute drive. Details and directions will be provided when you book.

Interaction with guests

I live in Rome but am available for any advice. I have prepared a welcome leaflet with information and maps of the area with things to do and see and great restaurants in the area. The location is perfect for day trips to Rieti, Mount Terminillo, Amatrice, Rocca Sinibalda and many more!

Other things to note

As mentioned, a car is highly recommended to get the most out of the area, doing wonderful day trips to fabulous historic towns and sites. The area is rich in wildlife with foxes, black squirrels, wild boar, kestrels, hoopoes (indeed perfect for birdwatching). Trees and bushes on the land include olive, fig, bay, mulberry, cherry, Apple, apricot, pear, walnut, hazelnut, plum, pomegranate, blackberry and all insecticide free. Perfect for unwinding, reconnecting with nature, reading, writing, painting...

We care about our land and have spent a lot of time planting local varieties that attract bees and we have never used pesticides. We particularly welcome guests who love plants and wildlife.
