A unique, comfortable house in a picturesque village and peacefully situated down a private drive overlooking trees and meadows. Architect-designed in the '60s and flooded with light all day long, the french windows open onto a large lawn for croquet

The space

People liken Arrow Green to a garden pavilion as the main living areas and two of the bedrooms have large windows (french windows in the sitting area) opening onto the garden. With light streaming in all day it is a happy house to spend time in. The garden is quite private and not overlooked. There is a sense of space and of being in a parkland as views are over the adjoining field ( with your own gateway from the garden ) with its ancient listed Monks Mound and beautiful specimen trees in the distance. The field runs down to the River Arrow - you are welcome to use it as long as there are no sheep grazing.

Guest access

The house is at your disposal. There is just a locked cupboard in the utility room for storage and the garage is also not available for guests

Other things to note

Bedlinens and towels are provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. The oil-fired Aga is just for cooking and provides constant heat in the kitchen. It will normally be turned off in July / August unless specifically requested. There is also an electric cooker, and a microwave in the Utility Room

For cooler evenings there is an open fire. Please always use the fireguard provided if leaving the fire unattended.

There is kindling wood, firelighters and logs are in the woodshed

A great base for trips around the county. A quiet location to chill out in, go for walks, with a good pub nearby too. Plenty of info left to look at if you are stuck for ideas as well. We all had a relaxing family break, including the dog.

We had a great stay in Eardisland. Very central house in the village and the garden was beautiful. The host was very prompt and helpful when we needed to communicate.

We had a great stay in Eardisland. The house is lovely - big and light. The garden is large and we had a nice afternoon sitting there in the sunshine. We were a group of four friends and it was perfect for our needs. The village is very pretty and hopefully we'll be back!

Beautiful house and garden was perfect for us (4 adults and a baby) Really well equipped with everything you would need, and in a lovely location. Would definitely stay again. We used it as a base for the Hay festival, which was perfect

The house & garden were a delight. The morning chorus was wonderful to wake up to. The 2 double beds were very comfortable (we didn't use the singles). The heating makes the house very cosy. Just a short walk away from the village pub, tearooms & community shop. Ideal area for dog walking & close to towns. Loved our time there.

The place was beautiful. The house is really big and the host also had a cot and a high chair for our baby. We spent a really good time there. Thanks Stephen!

We spent a long weekend at the house and it was fantastic. Arrow Green is a lovely, clean, well-equipped house. It has a stunning large garden perfect for our 2 small children. The photos don't do it justice. The local village is beautiful and picturesque. Highly recommended and we hope to visit again soon!
