Ideal place for rest and nature seekers. Perfect to recover, long stay or in transit. Only 10 minutes from the highway. Do you like a beautiful view, animals, beautiful skies, unforgettable starry skies, a simple place and a family welcome? Where children can split safely? Then this is the right address? Our castle is located in centre France on the border of Allier and Cher. Close to beautiful swimming lakes, foret de troncais, canal de Berry, climbing park and much more.

The space
It is a house from the XIX century, in the countryside, near the church . It is easily refurbished while maintaining authentic details  (there are still some small details to do, especially on the 2nd floor). Pleasant house, rural rustic with electric radiators in the rooms and a fine wood stove in the dining room (the hallways are not heated).  It is an old and largely uninsulated house. But the thick walls keep it pleasantly cool in the summer and it is easy to heat in the winter. It is really an old French house with all its charm, pleasantly rural and cozy. All plumbing and other facilities are recent.

It has a private entrance. From the salon (shared with others), where you enter, you have access to the stairs to the first floor where the room is located with its own toilet and shower. The room (room 2) is for 3 people (three single beds). Next to the room is the kitchen that is shared with others. In front of the house is a dining table and chairs where you can sit (shared with others). Adjacent is the large grounds of about 5000 m2, which is shared with other guests (gîte and camping guests), which you can also use; with a picnic table, chairs, the swimming pool and a trampoline.  Next to our property is the playground of the municipality.

There is a supermarket, other shops and various restaurants and bakeries about 7 km away in Vallon and Sully. What else can be found in Montluçon or Saint Amand Montrond.

It is an old and largely uninsulated house. So it can be warmer or colder than you are used to.

Children are welcome, but there are no stair gates and cabinet protection for small children.

Our house is not suitable for people with an animal allergy or who are afraid of animals. Even though we do everything we can to ensure that there are no animal hairs in the accommodation, we cannot guarantee it. We also cannot guarantee that no cat will enter when you have a window or door open. It can happen that our goats and pigs walk around loose outside the fence.

Our house is for peace seekers. We would like you to be considerate of others, as there will also be other guests in the adjacent building and the shared grounds. No big parties with loud music and no audio devices please.

Our animals may be fed, but please consult with us first.
Children are welcome to visit the animals, but children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
