Situated on 2 beautiful manicured acres, CRICK 'N CHICKEN (700sq') is located in the tiny community of Cornville, AZ. Surrounded by vineyards, minutes from the beautiful red rocks of Sedona, Jerome, countless nearby Indian ruins, the Verde Valley Railway, miles of hiking, horseback and biking trails, galleries, eateries and quaint shops. Relax under a umbrella of trees, gaze at the piercing bright stars amongst the midnight sky or visit the nearby Oak Creek just a short walk away. Horses ok.
Debbie & Charley Crick bring their love of service and community to their vacation stay. Their guests are nurtured in their peaceful and treasured location. Charley, an Arizona native, retired local builder, former Sedona Councilman, avid outdoorsman, and is an USMC Vet. He is quite knowledgeable of the many local nearby landmarks, but mostly is well loved for sharing his colorful and delightful stories! Debbie has opened various business’, including the Sedona Raw Café, 2006-8, specializing in gourmet raw vegan food, the first and of its kind in the state. She is a published author. Mostly she enjoys entertaining, cooking and preparing a collection of yummy foods.
Residents in the area since 1971, where their 3 children were born and raised. Their love of entertaining and serving delicious healthy food, can be enjoyed here by many.
In 2008 they opened their home to “The Sedona Old Gang Reunion”, an old fashion sit down BBQ dinner and dance for 300+.
Additionally their venue has hosted many weddings, parties and other special events.
There is a two night minimum.
Guests can access most of the 2 acres which includes a large fenced pasture, various porches and patios, and a seasonal organic garden and fruit orchard. Oak Creek is within walking distance, as well as beautiful park across the street.
Interaction with guests
"Crick 'n Chicken" is set amongst lawns and over 60 trees, including many shade trees, weeping willows and a variety of fruit trees. Some of the seasonal flowers include roses, jasmine, lilac, lilies, hibiscus, wisteria, and honeysuckle vines to name a few. Guests are invited to relax on the
hammocks or mosey around on the lush lawns and visit the garden, and the many farm animals, including dogs, cats, “Cocoa” their pet donkey,
roosters, chickens, and “Carlos”, the resident goose!
