Beautiful rustic getaway. Moorland location, outstanding views. Walkers and riders paradise.

During your stay
Lamorna is my home so I will be around to assist whenever I can.

Other things to note
I have a dog and three cats that live in the house. All very well behaved.
A horse, a duck and chickens that live outside and sleep in the barn.
Visitors can wander around to see the garden & animals, children must be supervised and gates to be kept shut at all times please. I like my garden natural and rustic. There will be a variety of plants that grow fast these include nettles and brambles, so keep an eye out to avoid cuts and stings. Please enjoy nature responsibly x

Neighbourhood highlights

Minions Village on the edge of Bodmin Moor is a wonderful place to live and visit.
There is a Post office shop & Tearoom with very friendly new owners, open ever day, serve fantastic food there.
Hurlers Halt a Cafe across the road, also very friendly, serving fab food every day (both of the cafes are licensed) Both places also have rooms to let.
Opposite to this a Pub/restaurant (currently under restoration)
The surrounding area of Minions Village offers a wealth of archaeological interest from early Bronze Age onwards. Tin and copper mining took place here until early in the last century. Many of the pump houses can still be seen. There were several quarries in the area, two have turned into beautiful lagoons with crystal clear waters that locals and visitors love use for wild swimming small gatherings with BBQ’s or picnics.
The Liskeard and Caradon Railway still remains. Built around 1844-1916 was the route used to ship the metals from the mines and stones from the quarries. The tracks have long since gone but the beautiful big heavy granite stone to which they lay on still remain. It’s an excellent way to explore the area by foot, by cycle or on horseback.
