spacious. kitchen was suitable enough for me to make a lobster dinner with all the fixins. kitchen and dining are downstairs, so the wife and i were able to hang out long after the kids went to bed. the channel/river to the lake was literally easy walking distance. the drive is beautiful with lots to see. Portland is 35-40 minutes away but the drive makes it seem more like 20 minutes. 10 thumbs up(we're a family of 5 lol)

Response from William:
I really do not know what issues there were with accuracy of the photos. They are photos of the house although having been there in the fall, the gardens were not in bloom. As for scenic photos, all were taken within a 5 to 20 drive from the house. I am puzzled.

Everything was great. Will was a great host. Plenty of great recommendations, waited for us to give us all the information about the house and because we arrived late, he got something in the fridge for us so we would have breakfast. The place is great and the area beautiful. Looking forward to go back! Thanks for everything Will. We had a wonderful stay.

You will not find a more gracious, helpful and concerned host than William! His place is very roomy and comfortable and private. He is eager to aid you in enjoying your time here, or is willing to give you all privacy. He even had eggs and juice and apples and oranges for our breakfast waiting in the fridge. Also, provided some great snacks and coffee and hot chocolate. I would highly recommend staying here!

Pro: enough kitchen to cook your own. Lots of space. Really clean. Good value after you price some of the places in Portland. Lots of beds. Cons: biggest bed in there is a double. Ceiling in bedrooms is really short ( probably 6'5" ish).

Response from William:
I appreciate the feedback. For a home that is over 200 years old, some parts of the home do have low ceilings like the bedroom but that is a plus in both heating and cooling season. I would not recommend anyone who is staying that is over 6' 5" sleep up stairs but consider sleeping down stairs where the ceilings are over 7 feet. For the $85 per night that you paid it is a pretty good deal; Kitchen, living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Sure beats paying $269 dollars a night at the local hotel for just a bedroom.

I am very easy going and love to help my guests with their vacation needs. I love to share my knowledge of Maine, I enjoy the outdoors, love bbq's and I love sharing my knowledge of gardening, both vegetable and flower gardens. It is really hard to beat Maine when it comes to it's 4 seasons; each being very special in it's own ways. Come discover what Maine has to offer and let me help you make the best our of your stay.
