Outstanding hospitality
6 recent guests complimented Lynne for outstanding hospitality.
Boris is an award-winning and unique self-catering glamping pod on the Isle of Skye. 2 single beds, kitchen, en-suite shower room, bed linen & towels provided. Minimum booking 2 nights. Limited wifi. Please note, midges can be a problem in the summer - come prepared! Boris is now air-conditioned to help keep you cool in the summer.
**UPDATE** - we have just taken delivery of 2 kune kune piglets, Dotty & Mr Trousers. They live right next to Boris & look forward to meeting all new future guests.

The space
What makes this space special? Everything! No other glamping pod like this anywhere! This ex-army radio repair workshop has been beautifully converted inside and offers all the comforts of home. The kitchen space has a cooker, grill, microwave oven, & small fridge with freezer compartment. The en-suite shower room has a shower, sink & chemical toilet (like you find on a boat). The recently added sky-light provides extra light & fresh air, & as it comes with very fine insect mesh, it helps to keep the midges at bay. Whilst we do everything we can to keep the midges out, we cannot 100% guarantee that Boris is totally midge free - it is glamping after all! Boris now has air-conditioning too to help keep you cool in the summer.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to wander around our croft and enjoy the spectacular views and wildlife. Pine martens (Europe's rarest mammal) are often seen around the croft. There is an outside seating area and laundry facilities which you are welcome to use.
Borrow the BBQ and have a cook-out, or wander down to the shore and spot the seals, otters & Victor the sea eagle. Guests are welcome to meet & help feed our 10 week old kune kune piglets (Dotty & Mr Trousers!), new on our croft this weekend. Oink oink!

Other things to note
There are no shops or restaurants etc in Kylerhea. The nearest amineties are in Broadford (a 30 minute journey). Your own car is essential.
Whether your stay is for 2 nights, one week, or a month, we look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful corner of Skye.

NB: Please read the directions very carefully. SAT-NAV postcodes etc do not work here! There is no mobile phone reception either.

Midges (tiny biting insects) are a problem on the West coast of Scotland in the summer (May - September). We have done everything we can to help the situation - midge netting at the windows, a midge proof sky-light, and midge jackets & midge repellent are provided for your use. An air-conditioning unit will be installed in the very near future. Despite these measures, midges do still get into Boris. Please come prepared!

Boris is self- catering - please use the kitchen facilities to cook yourselves a delicious meal, but do clean up afterwards and leave Boris as you find him (no dirty dishes in the sink please!)

Boris is strictly no smoking.
