Stayed at Ashlea for a couple of nights to go cycling in the peak district. Our host met us at our checkin time and gave us a friendly overview of everything in the flat. The flat is nice clean and modern. There's a balcony looking out over the surrounding hills and greenery. We didn't use the cooker but the flat was well equipped and had a bodum french press as well. There's a couple of supermarkets about 10 mins drive away to stock the fridge. Location is ideal as there's cycling and trekking straight out the front door onto a quiet lane. Chinley itself is a smallish village, but with a couple of really nice pubs that serve local sourced food and microbrew ales. They are quite 'foodie' with decent menus and a nice beer garden. There is no wifi but the 3g mobile signal was decent enough and not a priority for an outdoors weekend. Overall, we had a good weekend and the accommodation was decent and good value.

We were 40 minutes late and after trying to negotiate, HOST didn't let us stay and left us stranded at 10PM. Had to look for alternative accommodation in the middle of night. Avoid if You have the chance and don't expect a caring host or humanity on Your vacation but hostility.

The accommodation was in a lovely quiet area with a great view from the back. It was very well equipped and the host welcomed us and told us a little about the area. My only slight complaint was that the shower wasn't working, but the bath was working so it was ok. It was very neat and tidy, but some areas were a little grubby.

Response from A:
The accommodation details do say that there are no shower facilities at this time, but we do have a bath, toilet and sink.
