The space
🌿 Welcome to Villa Mandala – A Peaceful Beachfront Home on Serenity Beach 🌿
Villa Mandala is a private 2-bedroom beach house with a serene sea view and direct access to the sand – just open the gate, and you’re on Serenity Beach.
This is not a hotel – it’s your own calm and cozy retreat by the sea.
Set within a traditional fishermen village, the atmosphere is authentic, local, and full of life, especially on weekends. A few small food shacks are located right in front of the house – they’re convenient for quick snacks, but please note they can sometimes affect the view and bring occasional smells of fried food. If you’re looking for a peaceful, real, and comfortable stay in front of the ocean, this house offers everything you need, just 5 km from Pondicherry and 6 km from Auroville.

🏡 The House
• Private house – NOT shared. We do not rent per room
• 2 AC bedrooms, each with attached bathroom (hot water)
• Ground floor:
– 1 bedroom with 1 double bed + 1 single bed
– Living room, fully equipped kitchen, and small private garden
• First floor:
– 1 bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom
– Sea-view terrace with dining area and lounge

🧹 Services & Facilities
• Daily cleaning by our maid (10 AM – 1 PM)
• Bedsheets and towels changed every 3 days (extra changes: ₹500)
• No meals provided – but food delivery is easy and the kitchen is fully equipped
• No caretaker on site, but our assistant is available during the day if needed

⚡ About Electricity – A Local Quirk
Short power cuts can happen occasionally in this region – usually only for a few minutes.
Villa Mandala is equipped with a UPS battery for lights and fans during these brief interruptions (AC and large appliances will pause until the power returns).
It’s part of the rhythm of coastal life – most guests adapt easily 🌴

🐾 Pets, Groups & Respect
• Pets are welcome (must be declared – any damages are your responsibility)
• Groups of friends and moderate alcohol use are allowed
• But: no parties or loud gatherings, please respect the neighborhood
• Minimum ₹3,000 fee for damages or excessive dirtiness at checkout

• 🅿️ Street parking only (safe and usually easy) – paid parking also available within walking distance
🦎 We do regular pest control, but this is a beach house with open areas – lizards or insects may appear despite our best efforts.
