This second trip to Aix was even more pleasant than the last. Once again Emilie opened her home to me, was warm and friendly and the house is perfect if a quiet, clean, private spot, a short yet scenic walk 15 mins from the ANOM archives and the town centre sounds like your kind of place.

I had great time in Aix-En Provence and Emilie was a great host! She gave me a lift from the bus station and her son showed me the shortcut to the town. Her place was only a walking distance from all the main attractions. The room was nice and simple, I got everything I needed at Emilie's place. Would stay there again if I choose to come back

I am thankful regarding Emilie's attention. We had a good communication both meeting and leaving. She is friendly and her house is clean. Maybe her flat is a bit far from the center but it is in a perfect place in order to enter and exit quickly from Aix-en-Provence.

Emilie was very friendly and made sure everything went well. The room has two single beds that are comfortable and a desk. I like to walk, so it was no problem getting to and from the center of town.

Emilie's place was ideal for a research trip. A desk in a private room in a family home meant I worked all day, but came back to other humans - and friendly ones at that. Well worth noting is that Emilie's apartment has an amazing nifty door which separates the communal living spaces from the bedrooms; which means if you want silence, you can close two doors to block out even conversation/TV -level noise in the rest of the house. A really lovely scenic 20 min walk from the ANOM archives and about 15 mins walk from the town centre, plus 3 mins from a shopping centre = great location. Emilie was also generous with her kitchen making space in the fridge and offering full use of her condiments, spices as well as utensils. An excellent host, Emilie gave me a life to the station when I was leaving, and had her son walk me part of the way into town so I would find it okay. I felt genuinely welcome in her home, I would highly recommend Emilie to any visitor to Aix, but especially to those travelling for the archives.

I was in Aix to work at the Archives nationales d'outre-mer on the Aix-Marseille campus, and Emilie's apartment was excellently located-- I prefer walking, and was happy that I was easily able to walk to and from the archive, as well as the adorable Centre Ville (though if you prefer there are also convenient bus lines). The room was very comfortable, very private, and a great place to work. Emilie was helpful and kind and even picked me up from the bus station when I arrived. I would definitely stay again if I am in Aix!

I highly recommend this apartment and host. The apartment is very clean, quiet, and comfortable, with a lovely terrace and great location. It’s an easy 15-minute walk to the Archives Nationales d’Outre Mer (ANOM), very close to a grocery store and a pharmacy, and a 15-minute walk to the center of town or to the gare routière to catch the bus to Marseille. If you'd rather not walk so much, there's a bus stop only steps away from the end of the building’s driveway. And Emilie is a gracious and helpful host. Not only did she pick me up from the bus station and drop me off at the end of the stay, she helped me find a doctor when I had to take care of a minor medical matter. We had interesting conversations (she was patient with my stumbling French), and I could also retreat into my room to get work done when necessary. If I am able to return to Aix to do more research, I will definitely check to see if this is available!
