Tucked away in a forest of teak trees, this jungle home is an ideal escape from every day life. With a panoramic view of the surrounding hills, a nearby waterfalls and several local hiking trails, you can relax and enjoy the surroundings your way.

The space

The main space is an open concept living area and kitchen, which most people use to relax and look out at the view. During the day, you can open the accordion windows and be connected to the outside while being inside. Off of the main living area, there is a closed bathroom and a separate bedroom, which sleeps two (an additional floor mattress can be added for a third person in the main room). The kitchen area has a fridge, gas stove, and kitchen basics for cooking.

Guest access

The home is located on two acres of land so guests can privately stroll around on the property. There is a small tree house for relaxing next to the main house and there are nearby walking and hiking trails, as well as a river and waterfalls. If there is any fruit in season, you are welcome to help yourself.

Interaction with guests

Chai is a tour guide and is happy to share tips with you on the area. He can also book tours for you in and around Pasak Ngam or in Chiang Mai province. Tours can include adventure, sight-seeing, and elephant care. We generally greet our guests once they arrive and then let them enjoy the jungle getaway privately, unless requested for tours.

Other things to note

We love our jungle home and hope you will too. It is a rustic jungle home and while we keep it clean, there may be ants or mosquitoes who may want to enjoy your company. The home is relatively remote and there is no wifi on site and possibly no cell service (depending on your provider), however there is wifi and cell service at one of the restaurants in the village. Many guests love to use the experience to disconnect and be independent. If you would like to have guided tours or treks to the local dam, "sticky" water falls, bat caves, and temples, or if you would like to include cooking classes or natural living classes, we can arrange this for you during your stay.
