Where you’ll be

Paternoster, Western Cape, South Africa

Paternoster is one of the oldest fishing villages in South Africa. The communities are integrated and it’s one of the few places left where you will have a true sense of living amongst the original inhabitants of this spectacular coast. All houses are painted white which resembles a Greek village. There are plenty of lovely restaurant to visit in Paternoster. Just around the corner of Sugar Shack guests will find the new Crayfish Wharf Waterfront with a variety of restaurants, a toy museum, Art shed, shops, fish monger and a theatre. Electric bike tours and kayak tours also leave from there. Be sure to visit the hugely popular Voorstrand Restaurant situated right on the sea. Alternatively the restaurant at Abalone House, Noisy Oyster or Leeto Restaurant are excellent choices. Or dine at one of the Top 10 restaurants in the country and experience true sea and beach foraging cuisine prepared by well known award winning chef, Kobus van der Merwe. There is plenty to do by means of going on trail runs, hiking and biking and even horse riding or kayaking. Paternoster has it all.
