Thanks for the feedback Cara. Unfortunately, it sounds like there was a misunderstanding about the windows. To prevent issues with bears, we ask guests to shut the windows to their cabins when there is no one present at the cabin. When occupied, guests are encouraged to open windows to increase airflow. This is what you were told at check in. We also equip every bedroom with a plug-in fan to help on the occasional hot summer day.
As for the dirty dishes fee, unfortunately, due to some poor past experiences with very messy kitchens, we have elected to add a charge for unwashed dishes for guests that prefer not to wash their dishes at checkout. All other housekeeping is included in the airbnb fee.
I apologize that your husband felt questioned when he came to ask for extra sheets. The women in the front office was a bit confused because we had already made both sofabeds in the living room prior to your arrival and ensured each bedroom had an extra blanket. The rates on airbnb, do depend on the number of people booked, so due to this unusual request, she wanted to confirm the number of people in the cabin, and was in fact told a higher number of people.
We strive to make every stay as enjoyable as possible.
