Where you’ll be

Llandrillo, Wales, United Kingdom

Hafod yr Hemp is situated 10 minutes walk from the village of Llandrillo at the base of the Berwyn Mountains. It is a rural setting surrounded by farm land. Expect to see some cows and sheep. Sometimes the neighbouring farm moves the sheep down the road and its what is known as rush hour around here. There is plenty of wildlife, a heron living near by flies over every morning. Murmurs of starlings can often been seeing going to roost. Owls and woodpeckers are often visitors. We do keep hens who may want to say hello over the fence, we have a friendly little dog and a shy cat. The river Ceidiog flows by the end of the garden and we have a hammock for lazy afternoons where you can be lulled into an afternoon snooze by the sound of the river slowly flowing by. The village two restaurants and an excellent village pub and post office for all your necessities. We are a 15 minutes drive from Llyn Tegid /Bala Lake where you can do some water activities and 15 minutes in the other direction is the beautful market town of Corwen home of Owain Glyndwr a national hero of Wales. both towns have plenty of take aways to choose from. The local post office does home made Thai takeaways.
