Where you’ll be

Devizes, England, United Kingdom

Devizes is a beautiful market town in the heart of rural Wiltshire, England.

Originally developed around an 11th century castle (those original town walls run along one of the terraces at Sussex Cottage), Devizes went on to be famous for its textiles in the 16th century before turning to corn in the 18th century (later constructing the town's famous Corn Exchange in 1857) and tobacco and brewing in the 19th Century.

The famous Wadworth Brewery opened in 1875 and still runs today, just 5 minutes walk from Sussex Cottage.

Devizes has more than 500 historic listed buildings; a huge number for a town of its size and is a historical and cultural English gem.
