Alastair and I were lucky to be able to permanently re-locate to our croft on the Isle of Skye in February 2021. This has been a long held dream and plan in the making since we purchased the croft 6 years ago. We have 3 ponies here with us, one is my beautiful Appaloosa mare, now 7, who has been a family member since she was 6 months old. The other two are young wee rascals, both Eriskays and it is our intention to breed from the yearling filly eventually to help in the survival of this critically endangered breed. We also have chickens and 13 guest Dexter cows and calves grazing in our fields. The polytunnel needs a lot of work still but we have had many strawberries, eaten fresh and jam to come, blackcurrents and the first picking of runner beans have been eaten. Lettuces, tomatoes, pumpkins, cabbages, broccoli and courgettes are all on their way and next year once its properly sorted the polytunnel will produce much more. We are so lucky to be living in this divine place and everyday we count our blessings and thank the universe that we finally got here. And we so look forward to sharing our space with those of you who wish to come and enjoy the beauty of the 'Misty Isle'.

During your stay

Alastair and I will often be around caring for the livestock and maintaining the croft but we do not actually live there. Guests can contact us by messaging or calling. We are very happy to offer recommendations for days out, places to visit, good places to eat and offer directions. Visiting guests are given our mobile numbers to enable easy contact should we be needed. We will do as much as we are able to help make your stay enjoyable.
