Enjoy this newly renovated cottage, a short walk from beautiful Underwood Beach in the exclusive oceanside community of Falmouth Foreside. This wonderful mid-century cottage has been newly updated + furnished and it includes private beach access! A stand-alone house on a large private lot with front yard, backyard, vegetable garden, and plenty of space to relax with your family. Bring your bikes + your sense of adventure and get ready to enjoy one of Maine's most charming neighborhoods.

The space
We wanted to make this house a comfortable home for friends or a family of 4 or 5. The cottage has 2 proper bedrooms, a den set up for sleeping, and a sunroom set up for sleeping on a new futon couch. There's also a laundry room. Private backyard has a deck and small vegetable garden where you can help yourself. The house is only a short walk to a beautiful beach and to iconic Town Landing Market where you can get your coffee and breakfast provisions and walk down to the harbor to see the sailboats and the lobster boats.

Where you’ll be

Falmouth, Maine, United States

Falmouth Foreside is an historic and affluent waterfront community set amidst the backdrop of Casco Bay where you can view some of Portland's Calendar Islands—Long Island, Clapboard Island, and Sturdivant Island. The town is only 10 minutes from downtown Portland but has a rural and peaceful vibe. This is a walking friendly and biking friendly town with a scenic Town Landing dock where you can swim, fish and watch the boats sail by.

(Please note that driveway may be shared from time to time as need ed by owner)

I'm a writer and editor who discovered Maine in the late 1980s. I bought this special property in 2002 and, with the help of my husband, we rebuilt the cottage. We love to spend time on the water in summer and in the mountains in winter.
