Great location

An amazing, idealistic space to enjoy fantastic views, relax in beautiful, peaceful surroundings & situated in a wonderful location for walking the Black Mountains, part of the Brecon Beacons.

Both pods are situated a short walk from the Cats Back Mountain, using footpaths. You really will witness some breath taking views - as the photos show!

Local areas to explore are; Hay on Wye, Abergavenny & Hereford but you can do as little or as much as you want to whilst staying here....

The space
This is a rare opportunity to stay at our Activity Centre. We normally would have groups using our venue but due to covid we are now offering our pods exclusively at certain times for people that wish to get away from their hectic life style to relax, sit by the pond, have a glass of wine in the lobby area, walk the Black Mountains and if anything just recharge the batteries!

There is plenty of space for parking, you can drive to each pod to unload your vehicle but we do ask you to park on the main car park for the duration of your stay.

Both pods consists of a king size bed although we can change it to two single beds if required, but this does need to be arranged beforehand. They are beautifully furnished, a Honey Bee theme in the one and Dragonfly in the other, located next to the pond. All freshly laundered bed linen and fluffy towels are provided. There are two comfy arm chairs to sit in, complete with a throw and cushions, and a heater to keep you warm should you need it. There is a fridge with a small ice box, a microwave, kettle & toaster inside each pod. All cutlery and crockery included, along with tea, coffee and sugar.

The toilets and showers are located in the main building just opposite each pod so very accessible and well-lit at night.

Each pod comes with its very own fire pit and outside table and chairs for you to enjoy the peace and quiet that our venue offers. Kindling and logs are complementary for the first night, additional can be provided or can be purchased at the local village shop. Gas BBQ’s are available to hire if required, though you can cook over the firepit if feeling adventurous, or bring disposable BBQ trays. However, if you want to totally relax and just make the odd cup of tea or coffee, then takeaway meals can be arranged and we do have a licensed bar on site.

Mobile phone reception is strong depending on network, however it may not work in the actual pod, but Wifi is available on site in certain areas such as the Lobby.
